cute little cottage wth a kitchen. comfortable

At night when Roots had live music, motorcycles would park right in front of our door and when it was time to leave they would stand around and talk loud and rev their engines. plus the extremely loud music that was coming from who knows where, that played until 3 or 3:30 am almost every night was annoying making it hard to sleep. This was my sixth time visiting Negril and haven't heard that music until this year. I heard a lot of people complaining about it.

That is place is at one of the best places at famous Negril Beach. Hotel itself is not a hotel but a group of bungalows. They are very old and bad. There is only two "suites" on the very front line that are new and I stayed at one of these. These suites are good. Other bungalows are very bad.

Room was unfinished. There was no kitchen furniture in the room. Kitchen furniture is in other room.

Right on the beautiful 7 mile beach, walking distance to the Reggae Marathon start. Amazing whirlpool tub perfect for tired legs after the race. Best, kindest, most helpful staff - Opia, you are a star. Phoned me to find out if I was ok when I had not arrived at my planned time…the Knutsford Express bus from Montego Bay was running late…then sent a driver to pick me up at the Knutsford office so I did not have to walk to the hotel.

It's incredibly noisy .. they have concerts three to fours nights per week the whole room shakes until 2 am the windows are wooden slats.. there was no TV despite asking many times for someone to look into it .. the wifi goes in and out all day

I’ve been before over 35yrs ago, it’s kept its authentic theme of live music and private comfortable rooms on the beach. The up grade and care and attention of the place grounds and staff are fantastic. Well kept very clean tropical gardens between cottages and rooms. Fantastic views from the balcony

Three years ago, before the pandemic, we spent 12 nights here at Roots and absolutely fell in love. We are now returning for another 10 nights. Roots is located on a wonderful beach, surrounded by beautiful green plants and the fantastic colors of the sea. The rooms are clean, the beach and garden are well-kept, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The whole Roots is family friendly and lovely, we love being here, we love the Jamaicans here. There is always music here 🙂 They organize great concerts in the evenings and do everything to make you feel good. The chef makes great food and is always friendly. Thanks for being here again! We will definitely be back! 5*+5*🤗

overall good place and good area on the beach for night life! friendly people. a special Thanks to the 2 Girls keeping my room clean. I would return to this place again.

didn't like the idea that I had to pay to get to the bar on a evening with special events I think anyone staying here shouldn't have to pay extra for an event! how ever they did give in to a lower cost,

Everything about this location was a bonus.. the room, I received an upgrade, the team was outstanding and made me feel appreciated and welcome. I truly enjoyed the extra care and support.

A little loud but not a problem from the adjacent property offering late night music. I was not expecting the noise, but now I know that if I want to be in the happening zone, this is it!

The room was clean and had air-conditioning, which was great! The staff are friendly and helpful. The Rum Punch at the bar is AMAZING!! Walking out of the room onto the beach each morning was such a great feeling. ROOTS section of the beach is clean and they have loungers. The live entertainment at night was great. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and we will definitely be staying again on our next visit.

I felt very welcome when I first got there. The staff was friendly and very helpful, and the rooms were clean and bedding fresh, and the mattress was soft. Our meals were delicious, and I enjoyed my breakfast with coffee. I enjoy my stay there. When I go there again, that is where I will be booking my room.

No complaints about it. Rooms were clean, and bedding was fresh. I had awesome sleep on a soft mattress.
