The location on the lake was very convenient and there was a 7/11 right outside. There is a bus stop right outside and the area is very walkable. There was a microwave in our room that came in handy.

There weren't any staff on hand, which could be frustrating to some people. We enjoyed that aspect of being able to self-check in and out, and it seemed they could be reached by electronic means, but be forewarned. The lake area was very busy while we were there, which has nothing to do with the hotel, but the area is popular so keep that in mind if you are expecting a quiet relaxing stay. You could hear the crosswalk near the hotel beeping all the time. You could also hear people outside very clearly. It wasn't a huge deal, but something to keep in mind. We always sleep with a sound machine, so we were able to get over it. The rooms are definitely outdated, but it was sort of in a charming way.

Amazing hotel, will definitely stay here again. I would love to see it during the winter months. Staff were absent a lot but very friendly and contactable via whatsapp and email. Rooms were excellent. Rustic but clean and very comfortable. It was great having a 7/11 just outside too for late night snacks or early morning breakfasts.

The hotel is on the north side of the lake so be prepared to catch a lot of busses both to and from the station. Luckily the red loop bus line stops 2 minutes away from the hotel.

We liked the location which was close to a bus station (we arrived from the train) And also close to the various attractions. There was also a 7/11 next to the hotel so that was convenient. Felt very homey, spacious, bright room, comfortable beds, view from the room, convenient bike rental. A view of the Fuji in good visibility.

In the shower it was difficult to direct the water, there is no space between the toilet and the door.. There were no laundry services. On the entrance door to the hotel it is written that it is not locked and this gives a feeling of a little insecurity.

Good location. Able to see Mt Fuji from the room and lake kawaguchiko is just 2-3 mins walk away. There's also a 7-11 right infront of the accommodation. The staff even helped to carry our luggage up the stairs the day we check-in. Tip: Those taking Red Line Bus, get off at bus stop 15 instead of bus stop 14. The walk is shorter.

Facilities-wise,; all facilities are nice! View wise; You can see the peak of Fuji-san from the window! It is really mesmerizing. it also only a short walk to Kawaguchiko Lake. Distance-wise, you can enjoy walking and jogging around the lake. I went there only for one night with my family. It is really convenicent!

Maybe I didnt read it carefully, It say the room for four. So i expect the beds are for four people. But actually, there are 2 single bed and 2 extra futons. and you need to manage where to spread your futon. Nevertheless, I think for staying one night and backpacker it is okay! Not a big deal.

- this small hotel is in a perfect location in the "less developed" part of Kawaguchi city, which means less busy, absolutely quiet during the night - the bus stop is just 2 minutes of walk from the hotel - there is a 7Eleven shop literally on the other side of the road, open 24 hours per day - self-check out and check in should not be a problem - if you have difficulties with understanding very simple set of directions in English, do not travel around the world and stay at home - staff was very welcoming and I could work every day in peace without cleaning, which I requested - walkable distance from the shores of the lake, I worked there every morning from the bench with beautiful views - unbeatable price/room size ratio in the whole area (I visited it many times in times, so I can compare)

- you really need to improve your Internet connection, it was very unstable, sometimes it completely stopped working and the WiFi was not discoverable even though I had my own external (rather powerful) WiFi card and the router was literally next to my door. I am aware that most of the visitors do not want to work from the hotel, however they definitely need a stable connection to find out information about the surrounding area and not everyone has unlimited data.

We stayed for 4 nights, and were lucky enough to get a room with a spare sofa bed and a view of Mr Fuji. The hostel is on the red tourist bus line but set bank from the main road so you feel like you get a break from the tourist crush of cherry blossom season. With a 7-11 right outside the door and a coin laundry a couple of blocks away, we had everything we needed.

I wasn't used to the automated check in process, but got there in the end.

The location was nice, it was quite close to a bus stop for transportation, a museum, and right next to a convenience store, which made late night snacking very easy. The bathroom was quite large compared to other rooms we were in on the trip, and even with three beds in the room, it still felt like there was plenty of space for us.

The only negative from the whole experience was that the wifi connection was very poor. While we could initially connect, the server kept disappearing and wouldn't actually work for our phones.

the room! with bed & tatami option! even with the table & seating seat thus we were able to grab food from 7-11 just next door and eat in room, even better was - there's microwave in the room!! unlike most places the microwave is in common area! staffs were very responsive and helpful even via whatsapp. location was great, just opposite museum of art / music museum.. had bicycle (non-electric) for rent, thus we were able to get from hostel to town area and stop at all the tourist spots without having to use the omni bus (which operates on limited hours every day). the room we got (corner room, js above the main entrance) has 2 windows that can let us peek at mt fuji, while one of the window is facing 7-11, thats how near and convenient it is!

no coin-laundry. thats all that we didnt like. even the nearest coin laundry is about 500m away but if to go there at night, there is a stretch of the road that is very dark & without road lights.. apart from that, all good.

no staff to attend to at night if need assistance. this is my second round staying in samurise north. the first round gave me the personal touch that the sign board showed the list of people staying and a personal welcome card in the room. now its unmanned counter.
