Very welcoming. Free parking. Family vibe. Spa pool was clean and not crowded. Tattoo friendly. Food was wonderful.

It's somewhat a boutique hotel, looks a little old but all things functional.

I rarely wrote reviews online (and never on booking.com), but this one is so awesome that I felt compelling to write my review! - The hotel picked me up twice: once for luggage (when I just arrived kawaguchiko station) and once for myself (in the late afternoon after I toured around). Each time the pick up was so quick and nice! Love it. - As I arrived at the hotel, the staff literally came out the building to welcome me -- I never had such VIP experience and immediately blown away - And then a staff walked me all the way to the room, and gave me a room tour - The dinner was also great: in particular, the staff were very caring and paying attention to the pace of eating. I was a solo traveler and usually I ate fast, so I became the fastest eater in the hall which concerned the staff (sorry:) but I explained that all things good:) - The breakfast was even better: I usually didn't have much expectation for breakfast from hotel, but this one certainly above my expectation - The hotel gave a free ride to kawaguchiko station as I checked out. The staff again literally came out the build to farewell. Thanks to every staff in the hotel for your service, it's amazing!

The location and the traditional style room is what we came here for and we were not disappointed. There is a great local restaurant right in front of the hotel that has amazing local cuisine and the landscape is beautiful.

We were disappointed by the set meal we ordered the second night, which cost three times as much as going to a local restaurant. The food looked great and was presented in a beautiful way but most of it didn't taste like much. There were a few dishes that were good but the overall dining experience wasn't great.

This was our first stay in a traditional ryokan and we were made to feel so special from the moment we arrived. We were provided with traditional Yukata's to wear to dinner and the wait staff were so attentive and helpful in explaining the dishes, how to combine them and what goes with what. The location is perfect with beautiful views over the lake. We didn't have great weather for seeing Mt Fuji however the staff did tell us about the Autumn Festival that was on further around the lake and encouraged us to visit it before we left. I'm so glad we did as the colours were amazing. We had a wonderful time here and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a traditional experience. The onsen was lovely and also had breathtaking views over the lake. It'seasy to walk along the lake from here and a short walk to where the shops were.

The beds were ok although a little uncomfortable but it was otherwise an amazing experience.

I arrived here in mid-November. This ryokan was in a GREAT location. It was short walk to a Mount Fuji observation deck. You do have to pay, to gain access to the deck, but on a clear day, I am sure it would have been great. There is a nice view of Mount Fuji from the ryokan as well if you request a room with a view (they may have rooms with no view). I woke up early like at 6am to see Mount Fuji for a minute from my hotel window before the clouds covered it for the rest of the day. Nevertheless, I am glad I was able to see it and snap a picture. It can be hit or miss and often people that travel aren't lucky enough to see it from what I read. The ryokan had a really good breakfast and dinner, and the onsen there is really nice! Great staff, and super helpful. They offer pick up an drop off to the ryokan was very appreciated.

I am not a fan of traditional ryokan style beds, but that's because I am used to western style beds. Still worth the experience though.

Friendly staff and they have a shuttle service that picks you up from Kawaguchiko station. Great location as well, located right next to the bus stop. Room is clean, comfortable, and cozy. I'm a fan of the traditional tatami and futon experience. A great centered view of the lake, with Mt. Fuji on the left behind a hill. Breakfast and dinner were a delight! Food was beautifully presented and prepared. However the portion was HUGE and we really could't finish everything. Felt a bit sad to waste the food. Not so sure if it'd be polite to stop them from serving more? Onsen was great and the showering area is well maintained and comfortable.

I didn't do my research well so I was expecting a better viewing angle of the Mt. Fuji. However it does have a beautiful view of the lake itself. Pillows were a bit too thin for us personally.

Good meals in such rental cost, nice and sincere staffs. All the services good and all staffs are very helpful. They always pick up us between hotel and train station even it is out of shuttle bus service time. We received the used kimono gift in the last day, it is really warm and let us so enjoyable. They spa is not big but clean with nice view. Location is good which not too far away from train station and we always walk along with the lake.

Coffee taste could be improve... hahaha.... and hope the spa room provide the towel carbin to collect wet towel and shower cap, rubber band for hair if possible. Thank you.

Views are stunning, although couldn't see Mt Fuji. Bath house is a great experience and dinner was a lavish feast with well thought out courses and probably prepared with so much effort and hard work. Staff is super friendly, bird in the hallway beautiful. Overall, amazing experience and we rate it.

We would have loved to be given a choice to choose breakfast as we don't like eating meat and seafood in the morning. Would have preferred to have simple eggs on toast kind of meal for breakfast instead. We'd recommend giving guests the option to choose their breakfast between Japanese and western.

The hotel is charismatic and very cozy. Room had a nice view on fuji. All the staff were very friendly and super supportive. They even pick/drop you off from Kawaguchiko station which was a plus. The hotel was also very responsive by email. The room was very clean and they even prepare your bed while you have dinner. All in all great experience and we would come back.

We had a traditional Japanese dinner at the hotel and unfortunately there was a lot of food that we didn’t like. But of course this is about personal taste, so we dont want to judge this too hard as we kind of knew what we signed up for but of course we wanted to try it. Super nice how they prepare the dinner but not everyone will like it. ;-)

Decoration is quite new. The room was clean. I like meals there, both dinner and breakfast. They have a service pick up from Kawaguchiko station. Staffs are very polite.

The room size is quite small (compared to other Ryokan styled hotel I've been before). I think it fits for 1-2ppl. There was no balcony. The table &chairs are just right in the room space. Onsen room is clean but small (fit for only 5ppl using the same time). Lastly, you'll not see Fuji mt. In the middle of window😂 it is just on left hand side.
