The location was near the park with the natural hot spring which was great. The meals had many small portions of beautifully presented food. It was very comfortable to stay here.

The dinner was elaborate and sadly, took so long, that we missed getting to the park with the natural hot springs even though we started dinner at 6. We thought they closed at 8, but in fact, the last entry was at 7:30. The dining staff (not from Japan) were too subservient which made us uncomfortable. Lovely, but up a steep hill. It was a bit of a dark slog at night.

The hotel was in a great location, close to everything but not right in the middle of it all. The room was beautiful, the staff were helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to ensure guests were comfortable and assisted in any way they could. Even offering shuttle rides to any attraction that was further away than a 15 min walk. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will be back.

Kusatsu is in the mountains and so there is a lot of walking up and down stairs and hills. It's not that this was a problem, it's just something to be aware of.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful and provided excellent customer service. The Japanese breakfast was so good. We enjoyed soaking in the onsen after long days exploring the area. The hotel is close to downtown and restaurants.

We really liked the hotel. It's an older facility and the futon beds were hard. But we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel staff were very hospitable, the outdoor onsen bath was very nice and the food was great! The view from the balcony facing the town is beautiful. The room was comfortable and clean.

The location of the hotel is slightly further away from Yubatake but still within walking distance. The benefits of that are that you will be enjoying a fresh breeze on your balcony. The downside is that the uphill walk back from Yubatake might be too taxing for the elderly.

Japanese style room with two futons on the floor is great experience. Balcony and great view. Staff is outstanding. Onsen right in the hotel. Be prepared to pay extra tax for onsen

Excellent service from helpful staff. The onsite onsen. Also the shuttle service to n from the station was easy to arrange. Upon arrival , I got the lady at the Tourist Office to ring them and the bus came to pick us within, 10 minutes

The road to the hotel is a little steep.

I enjoyed the japanese style accommodation,food and the onsen. Being an asian I am used to having rice for breakfast. I am not sure if the hotel provides choice of western meals.

The food was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The room is big, the staff are helpful, polite, and accommodating. The onsen was great! Truly value for money.

The keiseki dinner and breakfast were delicious. The onsen facilities were spacious.

Overall the location was ideal. However, getting back to the hotel from the town attractions was slightly cumbersome as it was located on high ground.

Food was excellent, the kaiseki-style dinner was on top. Checking in in lobby, they seated us comfortably to do the procedures. Onsen was really nice and the on-set parking was big.

There are mold stains in the room.
