Great location right beside the main train station with lots of restaurant options, convenience stores, and souvenir shops nearby. The parking was a lot beside the hotel with in and out privileges added to your room bill (1100 yen for 2 nights) and no issue finding a spot even when the hotel was busy. The points the hotel excelled at were the staff, the onsen was amazing, the breakfast was substantial for the price and excellent quality but the free items exceeded my expectations. Free probiotic yogurt drink in the morning, free popsicles in the afternoon & evening, free coffee, and the evening free ramen was excellent. My wife who is Japanese said the ramen was perfect. I have no hesitation recommending this hotel and Dormy Inn.

Only three things I didn't like but this is my personal opinion. There was drawer space for items, just the basket they put the towels in; the bed was little hard for me; and the room was little stuffy at times but that's it.

I visited several places in Shimane and Tottori Prefectures and the Dormi Inn is perfectly located for this purpose. The hotel is located directly at the train station exit, there are lots of restaurants in the vicinity. The room was quite spacious because I had a double room for single use. The thermal spa on the top floor is superb, you can relax outside in 42°C hotspring water. You can program the TV to let you fall asleep listening to three different kinds of relaxation music, very nice.

The onsen is amazing! Especially the outside bath. We were so happy we booked two nights here. It was also very convenient to do our laundry here. We had limited interaction with the staff, but they were very nice when we checked in. Our room was comfortable to stay in.

The pillows were a little too hard and high to comfortably sleep on your back, but too low to sleep on your side. However, we still slept comfortably.

The breakfast had a variety of Japanese food, if you fancied. The public baths were also very clean and spacious. The location was excellent and very close to the train station (one minute walk).

The staff were trying to be helpful but not everyone was good at using self-checking machines. If you press a wrong button, the machine will not process smoothly which makes the check-in tedious and nervous with a long line behind you.

Clean room, good location, good open air bath.

The machine to check in is just ridiculous, it takes way longer that a regular check in with a human being, without any warmth or explanations / recommendations. I wish regular check-in would be the option by default, with the machine check-in being only for people who dislike other human beings.

Perfect location, and comfortable hotel. Do recommend to anyone visiting Izumoshi. Access to trains and buses was great. We also had to stay an additional night due to a snow storm, and they were able to accommodate us in the same room without any fuss. The washing machines are also available for free use, and you can check their availability via the TV inside the room, which was very helpful.

Breakfast was very expensive and could have more vegan/vegetarian options. The free noodles offered in the evening was a very nice touch - but these are also not vegan/vegetarian.

The public bath and sauna was great, as well as the room size and comfort. The quality of the breakfast buffet was also pretty good. And best of all, the hotel is literally a few steps away from Izumoshi station, so it's very convenient to leave your luggage while spending your last day in Izumo, then collecting your belongings before leaving.

If at all possible, avoid booking here for a Saturday night stay, since the room price doubles, regardless on how much availability they have or how far in advance you book the room.

it's only 2 mins walk from JR station and bus station. Super convenient. Rent a car company is also nearby. Parking lots is just beside the hotel. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Onsen area is clean and comfortable. House keeping is very good. Complimentary coffee and ramen in the evening is good. The room is spacious and open view from room window. it's very comfortable.

Comfortable and spacious room with three beds (twin beds +sofa bed). Marvellous onsen! My husband and two sons enjoyed the onsen and the complimentary night noodles very much. Location is perfect, just a few steps from the South Exit of Izumo JR station.
