We caught a ferry across from Kanoya to Ibusuki on a road trip from Miyazaki down and around to Kagoshima.. Like most people, to try the sand onsens. This place was a short drive away from the sand onsen and could easily be done by bus, taxi or bicycle. Hotels in Ibusuki are a little more expensive than other places in Japan. Out of the options available I thought this was the best value. Although not a short walk from the sand onsen like some other places. This hotel has a nice onsen next door included in the price, which isn't in the same building. But there is a covered short walk to next door to the onsen place that has lots of different separate onsens to try. There are also dinner options right next door that are a fair price and we had breakfast included. So everthing was covered. The room was a good size, we didn't use the bathroom because we had an onsen in the afternoon, evening and next morning. I'd stay here again if I visited Ibusuki again.

I can't really think of anything. But if I really wanted to complain the breakfast area is kinda funny. You go downstairs, walk across to a different area, then go upstairs again. Its funny, but I didn't really find it to be a problem.

The location was easy to walk to or catch a bus or ride a taxi. The Onsen and spa facilities were amazing. The restaurant served great food. The small shop had delicious ice creams and omiyagi. Our package included a Japanese breakfast which was delicious. We stayed in the newer part of the hotel. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and super helpful… even insisting on carrying our hiking packs for us! Would book again without hesitation.

The place is amazing not too far from the train station and the amenities are awesome and relaxing and. couple / family friendly . We love the onsen and sauna rooms and the restaurant food especially the chicken inside the onsen building is a must try .

We let the property know in advance we had seafood allergies and they were very quick to follow up to verify exactly what our allergies were. However, 1st breakfast we still had tarako “pink fish eggs” as part of the meal and 2nd breakfast the bacon and omelette were covered in Katsuoboshi “dried fish flakes” which a tourist from outside of Japan may not identify. Not a criticism of the property itself, I’ve had the same issue with many restaurants in Japan. Please think that if it comes from the sea and isn’t seaweed, then it’s seafood so don’t serve it. Small complaint; breakfast was delicious!

Outdoor & Indoor Onsen is big. Traditional Onsen Resort.

It is too far from JR station. You have to call taxi (Y1090 x 2) to & from Hotel. They haven't provide shuttle services. The only shuttle service is to Sand Bath Hall they provide.
