The onsen and breakfast
The absolute WORST ever wi-fi connection, surprisingly the only place it worked properly was the breakfast room- so I was able to do all my internet stuff whilst eating breakfast. In my hotel room 99% of the time it did not work.

Everything. I don’t have a picture because we are all tired. But everything is clean and comfortable.
The person that help us when we do check in, is okay but it’s not approachable. But she do good job anyway.

An older Route Inn, I was a little underwhelmed by what normally is a reliable hotel chain, No coffee in the room, coin laundry facilities are old and rickety, small onsen.

I had to go to Yatsushiro for work and the hotel was relatively convenient to where I needed to be. The shared bath facilities were nice and the room was a bit bigger than other business hotels I’ve been in. Breakfast was included and had a fair variety.
The pillow was solid in the middle and made for sore necks in the morning. The hotel tried to make things ‘safe’ in regards to the current pandemic by asking guests to wear masks while in the hotel and providing gloves at the breakfast buffet for when you took your food, but enforcement was not consistent.
