The staff was super friendly, and everything was very clean. Within the lobby there are nice and comfy places to chill, talk, and work. My room itself was small, but practically compact. Furthermore, the restrooms were nicely shaped and very tidy.

Even though everything was clean, and the restrooms were nice, the shower rooms seemed a little "cheap". Don't get me wrong, it was clean, but it didn't fit into the rest of the ambiance within the hotel. It was also quite noisy at night. I slept in a lot of capsule hotels, but this was another level in terms of shared noises, since the sleeping sections weren't too separated. But that's fine, in some way. More annoying was the constant noise of the ventilation system or whatever it was. Maybe my room was unluckily positioned, but that thing was really noisy

If you're just staying one night to rent a car in the morning, or maybe to take an early train elsewhere, it's in a great location, right across the street from Kumamoto station. The room I rented is a cute little capsule with enough floor space to open luggage, and it has a comfy bed, and full sized locker for clothing and valuables.

There is no ceiling above any of the beds, so sound and light travels across the entire dorm area (bring earplugs and eye mask). The showers were a little dirty too, they probably need a deep clean, especially the shower controls. Aside from the overpriced options inside Kumamoto station, you have to travel downtown for food, and shopping. The only convenience store nearby are the Family Marts inside the station, so if you prefer 7-Eleven or Lawson you will have to travel a bit.

close to the train station and bus stop for travel to sights like Takachiho, Aso, Kurosawa. our cubicle for 4 persons was comfortable, beds were good, had good sleeps there. Locker was of good size and useful. Good no. of shared toilet and shower facilities, never had to wait to use, were clean and airy. Towels can be changed daily; they provided daily even when we didn't need them.

Common dining facilities a little inadequate, could be crowded if many guests have to use them at the same time. Would be good to have proper tables and chairs for dining in. Though the room was comfortable, free floor area was small. We could only open up 2 luggages at a time. Hostel has a strict noise control policy (no ceiling for each room). Had to sign a form to agree to keep noise down. May not be suitable for families with lively kids.

To start off, it was literally across the street from Kumamoto Station: perfect! There is also a FamilyMart in the station so it's really close. The facilities are great, you get free loungewear, one towel a day and slippers. Shampoo, soap, conditioner, earplugs and a hairdryer are there for free use. The room is honestly more like a hotel room than a capsule, although it has no separated ceiling so you can hear everyone quite loudly as if it were a capsule. Nevertheless, amazing value for money!

The blankets were a little short. I'm 1.70m and my feet would get out if I stretched out.

Great location, close to Kumamoto Train Station - within 5 minutes walk, easy access to most part of the city; facility is quite new, bathroom and open area are quite clean; value for money if you travel alone.

Although the guests have their own "private" room which is quite good compared with many hostels, the wall that separated each room does not go all the way to the ceiling, you can clearly hear your neighbors if they make loud noise. But the hotel provides the earplugs for free. How comfortable you stay depends on your neighbor.

really clean and nice place, and very kind staff!

many nice bunker beds with curtain separation. means no closed room. So i could hear snore sounds or people talking/moving sounds. Bring earplugs!

Very good hostel. Clean, well-organised, clear information was given at check-in, comfortable rooms and all amenities were clean, comfortable and well-organised. Free loungewear was also available to borrow, which was a plus.

It wasn't clear from the room photos - the cabin rooms aren't totally isolated from each other, there's a gap between the top of the wall of the 'cabin' and the ceiling, so some sound from other guests can be heard. Earplugs are provided at the front desk though, so it's really not a problem.

It is right next to the train station. The staff is very nice. There is an adjacent coin laundry. The showers and bathrooms are really nice. The lounge is very cozy and has a bar. They offer free pajamas to borrow.

It was a little warm inside for my tastes, but it also was winter when I visited. The rooms are not sealed from the rest of the interior (open top) so individual climate control is impossible. This is understandable given the amazing price, and it was still very comfortable.

I liked everything about this place: it’s just opposite the exit of the JR station, it was extremely clean both the pod and the bathrooms, I really enjoyed staying at this place.

The only thing I didn’t like is that the ceiling was missing and you could hear everyone’s noise, even though everyone was keeping quiet. Basically, you only have the walls and not ceiling, so you really have to keep quiet to respect other people.

Excellent location right by the station and good sized rooms with comfortable beds and blackout curtains.

It was a little noisy as the rooms weren’t totally closed off (there’s a gap between the wall and ceiling, but it’s still totally private). Earplugs solved this. Also most of the sinks had signs not to use them for social distancing, and only two bathroom stalls and showers were ever open, also as covid prevention, I would guess. it wasn’t a problem during our stay, but with a property that large, I think more toilets and showers should be open.
