We love everything about it! The location is so good, and so close to major tourist attraction with easy bus connections and a mini mart across the street to get basic supplies. The staff also kindly updated us when there was a problem with the room before we checked in. The room and pantry is clean and comfortable, love the bathroom too, spacious and clean with a small tub for soaking and excellent water pressure.

Our room is in the basement and does not really have any view, but we can still open a little bit of the window to let fresh air in and get a little sunlight. The room is on the smaller side but it's quite normal in Japan. However, if you have big luggage it will be a little difficult to move around.

It's really self-sufficient. someone intending to travel alone and used to living on their own will strive.

it was VERY hard to find. Further, unless you knew the check procedures, basically you'd been there before, you would NOT KNOW that you really need to print that information ahead. If you don't, yo won't even get in the door.

The bathroom was very large for Japanese standards! Overall very comfortable room and the location is central and convenient to visit the city.

In the twin room there is no laundry service and the nearest coin one is a 15 minute walk, so keep that in mind! There is no cleaning during your stay.

Everything was perfect and the staff was really nice, loved that it has a washing machine, it was quite convenient.

There was a big group of guests partying on the hallways and being loud, I know it's not the hotel's fault, but since its the self check in/check out type, there was no one on site to control that.

The location is good and quite close to Kiyomizu Dera and Gion. It is a self-check-in service and we can put in our information before even arriving so the check-in went fast. The staff response was fast and was able to accomodate my stay extension smoothly.

The room size is a little bit tight, not that easy to put in big-size luggage. But it is expected given the price.

Location is very convenient. Near tourist spots like Kiyomizu-dera and Gion. Less than 100m from the nearest bus stop. Good value and room is very comfortable and affordable.

No on site front desk. You have to message the property just for simple questions. There is also no room cleaning or changing of towels, they will charge and extra fee for that.

I wish they provided two pillows instead of one. A weighing scale would also be helpful for tourists.

The location was great, with a major sight in walking distance, a convenience store, as well as a bus stop going to Kyoto station. The kitchen allowed for flexibility in regards to trying new food.

A 'bathroom' smell met us when we entered the room and would build up over the day while we were gone.

The room was tidy and well appointed. Very clean and easy to access. Bus to and from Kyoto station, as well as a convenience store literally across the street. Close to Kiyomizo-dera shrine too!

The beds were quite hard (although that’s been common everywhere we’ve stayed in Japan). We also thought the price was a bit steep for a place with no staff or additional services and requiring two transfers or a taxi to get there.

The hotel area has many facilities, including shops, restaurants, tourist attractions, bus stations, subway stations. Including easy access and a good security system, make it feel convenient to stay.

The hotel doesn't have staff so can't ask questions immediately when there is a problem.
