Love the decor...bed size..location. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe in this area...its literally where the river walk ends and near the back alley of goin. Bus stop is right in front..7/11 and restaurants next door. Quite area but walkable to main streets ..literally 15-20mins walk to main shijo/ kawaramachi area high street . Staff were wonderful and very helpful ...no problem ordering taxi for me and friendly . Exactly what it is in the picture guys!!!!

Cupboard is small and large will definitely struggle a bit in the room ..just use the bed to open and store closed in a corner .

I think that what I liked the most, was the location of the hotel - close to everything. Another thing that I appreciated and really liked was the service given at the reception. They were super.

Actually there were few things that I did not like: 1. It was not clean (dust all over the place). 2. Something was not ok with the bathroom. The floor was uneven, you had the feeling like you’re about to fall down. 3. The room was much smaller than you could see on the picture and it was my 6th Japanese hotel so I had a comparison (in general Japanese hotel rooms are small, but for this particular, somth was not ok, picture was too far away from reality, maybe it’s just my feeling).

Cleanliness, location, walking distance to Gion and the city centre. Also easy to reach from Kyoto Station by bus 205. Although the rooms are very small, the space is well organized. There is a desk, a minibar, a large TV, hangers for clothes. In the bathroom, the facilities include a magic toilet with a heated seat, and hot water for washing intimate areas, a bathtub with very good shower pressure, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair elastic, makeup remover disc, razor blade, containers with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel. Opposite the hotel is a 7-11 very good for breakfast. The hotel provides a bathrobe and slippers. We went in winter in February when the temperatures are low, 5-10 degrees Celsius, and the air conditioning in the room did not provide enough heat. So the owners put an air heater in the room for extra heat, and an air purifier for the most sensitive (we didn't turn it on)

It would have been great if the room had space for a wardrobe or a stand to put your luggage, so that we didn't have to keep our luggage on the floor

Excellent location. 5-10 minutes walk to all the happening places yet away from the main crowd when you need to rest. So convenient and budget friendly. East access to all the trains and buses. I'm a clean freak and if I say it's clean it's very clean. Staff are always so helpful and speaks English specially Sean! I thought he went to school in North America but he said he learnt his English watching A LOT of YouTube :) Great stay! Will definitely stay here if I go back to Kyoto hopefully it will be kept the same way.

The location is excellent (10min walk to key metro/train, next to bus stop, walking distance to Gion), surprisingly quiet although next to à larger road. The room is nicely bright and quite comfortable despite having a big suitcase. Staff is polite and helpful, they speak very good English. There is a coffee machine, tea and a microwave in the small lobby. It is an excellent value for money.

I would go back there for a night or two but not longer because the room isn't cleaned during any stay - even though I stayed 5 nights. TV only offers a few channels and no possibilities to connect to another device or VOD account.

Location was nice. Easy to find and the train station is walking distance, so is Gion and a lot of restaurants and konbinis. Lots of small quiet streets to walk through to avoid the just areas as well. Personel was friendly and hotel was clean.

Cannot open a window, so gets very stuffy and humid. With the dehumidifier setting on the remote it got a bit better. Kettle in room, but tea and coffee in lobby. Rooms don't get cleaned, didn't matter to us, but good to know. You put your towels and trash outside if it needs changing. You don't get more toilet paper, unless you stay more that 3 nights. Rooms were a bit small or rather odd sized. Not much space to walk if you have 2 open suitcases.

The location of this hotel can absolutely not be beat. It's right by a bus stop (literally) and near famous tourist places like Kiyomizudera on foot. It is very comfortable and the beds are nice. At night, the front door and the elevator are locked, and a keyboard is needed yo come in, which I think is a good idea for safety at night. Perfect little hotel for a weekend in Kyoto and a great place to go if you want to hit a few bars and Izakaya in the area.

The lighting in the room wasn't the best arrangement (though that's just me nitpicking). I find the light was a little low, and the room could have benefitted from a reading lamp.

The position is excellent, right in front of a bus stop on the Kyoto Station - Kinkaku-ji route. Rooms are clean, new, lovely, full of light, reasonably big for Japan standards and fully equipped (mini fridge, kettle, small table and chairs). I could see Kiyomizu-dera from my window! Staff was always nice

Only a very very minor detail: this hotel does not offer luggage shipment service. Not a real problem though, you can go to any 7-Eleven or to the nearest Yamato office (3 minutes walk!) where they were really helpful

Good location you can walk easily to the beautiful Gion district. Good connection to the Kyoto bus. It was very handy for us that you could store your luggage before and after check-in/-out. The staff was very friendly! Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and modern. It might've been tight if you had a suitcase with you, but it was okay since we only had a travel backpack. Definitely amazing value for the money, we would stay here again if we came to Kyoto!

The leaflets in the room said check-out was 11am, so we didn't double check that it is in fact 10am! The lady at the front desk was very nice about it and we got out of the room as soon as we could. Also the water pressure in our particular room was very low so it took a long time to fill the bath.

Great location, nice view. 10 minutes walk from Kawaramachi bars, 10 minutes to Gion area and 20 minutes from Ninenzaka All you need is near. Subway, bus, food places. It was good deal for top floor corner room.

Room was dusty. No water in bottles, only cooler on first floor with sign "Not working properly" Check in process - if you make photo of my id, why i need to sign paper with address,phone and email - all information on my booking account.
