Very convenient location. Near to public transport, cafes, restaurants, pharmacy, convenient stores and more. We had a room with tatami mats and it was spacious for four adults! We like the view of the cross roads, Kyoto station and a glimpse of the mountains. We especially love the toilet which was separated from the bath area. We love the automated toilet seat opening, heated seat, deodorizer. We also like the 'onsen' style bathroom.

We have to go to the reception level to get the coffee and tea. It will be good to let us sample snacks that we can buy from the souvenir shop downstairs. The hotel could tie up with the shop. Our cups in the room were not washed. We forgot to inform that the sink on the left side was choked. Our room is 730.

The hotel is very conveniently located across the street from the Kyoto train station and a city bus hub providing easy access to tourist attractions in the city. There was an abundance of restaurants nearby. The breakfast buffet was good. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was very small--as the Booking listing notes. The AC is centrally controlled. For me, the room temperature was uncomfortably warm. The hotel provided a fan that made the room more comfortable. There is a significant step up into the bathroom, and getting into the shower/tub requires throwing your leg over the tub. I have a bad knee, and it was a little uncomfortable. All in all, none of these things takes away from a good value and the positive things noted above. I would stay here again.

I have stayed here several times. The location is fantastic and the staff is very friendly and accommodating - for example I sent my suitcases ahead and they were waiting for me in my room. The rooms are small. I splurged and got a larger room so I could unpack my suitcases on the extra bed. There is a nice deep Japanese tub and the shower was great. The building elevators are confusing so make sure you use the right set and take advantage of the Kyoto Information Center on the third floor - lots of great tips and info and you can book your train tickets there.

I was very sad that the public bath in the basement wasn't open because of COVID but I understand.

Upon arrival we found our rooms were quite small. In fact the toilet in our bathroom was on an angle and as a taller westerner my son found his knees hit the wall. The staff very kindly upgraded our room and it was exceedingly comfortable. Position was amazing, directly across from Kyoto Station. Once you work out the train stations it is surprisingly easy to get to wherever you need to go. Shrines and Shopping aplenty! Kyoto station has lights on the stairs that create quite a show.

Even though we were upgraded with our room to get into the bathroom it is quite a large step and is difficult to get in and out. Anyone elderly, or with bad knees/hips, would find it very difficult to use.

I love this place, it's the second time I've stayed here. Last time was in 2015! The staff was super nice and helped me to send some parcel to my sick friend who leave near by but I couldn't visit due to hwt illness. I came to check in super late for sure coz I had a blast night night pontocho. I didn't realise I missed Kyoto so much. Next time, I'm definitely staying for few more nights. The location is just perfect Right opposite the station and I love the view from the tower too

I choosed the Kyoto Tower Hotel because of its super-convenient location. Besides, the breakfast buffet was a very good bonus (if you're not happy with its freshness and variety, you're just being impossible). The check in / check out process was smooth, quick and friendly. It satisfied my expectations.

The size of the room was quite small - but it'd be unfair to blame the hotel on that, since it's very common in Japan. You just have to be aware of that reality.

Spacious and clean room, super convenient location from Kyoto station being right across the road. Breakfast was good and there are shops and restaurants below the hotel. Underground linkway to Kyoto station is also right at the entrance.

Check in time fixed at 3pm, if arriving early you can pay an early check in fee depending on if your room is ready, or you can store your luggage at the hotel and explore nearby first. Just a small factor to remember when making plans.

The hotel is extremely centrally located across from Kyoto Station. This is where the buses and trains for most of Kyoto travel to/from. There are also lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The individual rooms include a double bed.

I found the bed to be very hard. I prefer a soft bed, so sometimes it was difficult to sleep. Also, the pillows were very thin. As someone who sleeps on my side, it wasn't easy to get into a comfortable position due to these two factors.

It's bigger than other Japanese hotel rooms we stayed in. Staff are nice and friendly. Perfect location for transport and shopping. Free luggage storage is a plus. Half price entrance to the 360 viewing tower above was a nice treat. Kettle in the room and separate drinking water tap is great for a cuppa in the room. Mini fridge and hair dryer.

Cleaning wasn't great round the toilet seat, not much of a view from our window, not allow to open window unless emergency. A little bit out of date but acceptable for the price.

Amazing property overall. Extremely accessible, TONS of amenities including dining and entertainment in the hotel itself. Perfectly locTed next to kyoto station.

Rooms could have been a bit bigger and at least had options for higher quality rooms. Even their most expensive room was a pretty standard room. I would have liked to upgrade to a villa or a suite-type of room but they don’t have anything like that.
