The room was perfectly adequate for the price - a comfortable bed, ok bathroom and more room than many Japanese hotels. The public bath was great with a lovey relaxing garden view if rather compact. Staff was attentive and friendly. Getting to the hotel from the nearby subway was easy and there was a 7-11 right across the street - easy for luggage forwarding.

The one gripe I did have was the stairs being for emergencies only so to get to the public bath from my room right by the stairs on the 3rd floor I had to walk along the whole corridor to the elevator, go down to the 2nd floor, walk to the stairs and then go down a flight. Same for the return trip - I couldn't go up to the 3rd floor because the door was locked. It felt like a bit of a waste of time especially in sandals and loose fitting clothes after a bath.

Great buffet breakfast with a gorgeous garden view. We used the public bath a couple of times, which was wonderful after a long day of exploring the city on foot. The hotel is well located, but is somewhat removed from the busiest touristy streets so there was a sense of calm. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again!

The room interiors are somewhat dated and the windows in the room don’t open, so the air was a bit stale. There was an air purifier in the room, however, which was helpful.

The hotel location was awesome. Perfectly located directly opposite 7-Eleven, as well as super close walking distance to a Family Mart and a Lawson. The hotel staff were beyond kind and helpful and made leaving my luggage with them before check-in super easy. There's also a super easy machine for checking-out too! Their bed was super cosy and I had a great nights sleep there!

The room was definitely smaller than I thought it was going to be, so it takes some dancing around the other person you're staying with if you're in their double room.

The customer service here is exceptional! I personally really enjoyed my stay here because the staff were very friendly, nice and willing to help with anything :) I was able to leave my bags at the reception desk before check-in time and after check-out time which allowed me to explore Kyoto with ease! The room which my friends and I stayed in (Triple Room) was very spacious for a hotel room in Japan and is complete with all the basic amenities you will need (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels). Things such as toothbrushes, combs and hair ties, are available for guests to take in the lobby. The onsen was rather small as compared to those of the bigger hotels which I have visited previously, so it may get a little crowded around 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm (based on my experience) as that is perhaps the time tourists and locals end their days. However, this was not much of a problem and I still managed to have a pleasant experience at the onsen. The nearest station to the hotel is Karasuma Oike and the nearest exit is Exit 6 which is only a 2-minute walk away! However, do note that Exit 6 does not have any lifts or escalators so you are expected to be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs :( Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a value-for-money hotel equipped with an onsen and friendly customer service! I would definitely stay here again!

We left an ipod in the room and called them on the train to the airport. In 15 minutes, they found it and arranged it to be delivered to my friend in Japan. Thank you so much! Location is convenient as it is a few steps to the Subway and shops, restaurants are within 10 minutes.

Our double room size is a bit smaller, and the facility is less updated than we experienced in their another hotel in Tokyo. Nonetheless, we were able to exchange to a bigger room when it was available.

satisfied almost everything, especially the location: near to my favorite shops such as convenience stores and supermarkets, restaurants, a post office, a subway stations, and walking distance to many bus stops for sight seeing. also, they have a public bath in the hotel which is available 3:00 pm to 9:00 am.

They don’t have laundry machines and driers in the hotel. So, I should have been a coin laundry on foot in a cold weather, taking 10 minutes. This is my personal experience that made me disappointed: they didn’t recognize my package arrival, even though I informed them beforehand, but they treated my package as their owns. I checked my package arrival many times at the front desk since I was running out of my hotel stay time. I eventually received my package at the end and relived finally.

Excellent location ! 2 min walk to the intersection of the (only) two subway lines. 15 min walk to lively areas of potoncho and the river. The onsen / jacuzzi was amazing and open 24hr, perfect to relax after walking all day through the city. Room was spacious and comfortable. Value for money 10/10. I wold definitely stay here again

very friendly staff who were helpful at all times the hotel was very clean and well located right across the road from a 7 eleven and Starbucks the hotel is well located and if you follow the same road down you run into the shopping area there is a train station near the McDonald’s which is a 314 min walk or you are about a 1200 yen taxi ride from the main Kyoto train station

Good location, really friendly and helpful reception staff, comfortable beds. The garden you can view from the lobby and restaurant is a beautiful touch of nature in this urban hotel, it's so peaceful.

Hotel breakfasts in Japan are not suited to European tastes. It would be nice if you could order cooked eggs. The croissants were amazing and the fruit was so delicious!

Everything was amazing! Friendly and heplfull staff, convinient (a little bit small) rooms, tasty tea and coffee in the room, quality hygiene supplies. Breakfast was excellent in the dining room with viewview of the designer garden, tasty local food and drinks, even apple vinegar for healthy. Convinient location, there is subway across the road and many small restaurants and cafes near the hotel
