It is a very clean and great looking hotel with good and modern amenities. The staff are very nice and usually can speak enough English if needed. The neighborhood the hotel is in is very nice, but I would mostly recommend it to people who enjoy walking.

Discrepancy between information on booking.com and reality? According to the staff the room I had booked had no bathroom, despite it being listed as one of the amenities on booking.com. The room was changed free of charge to one which did however. Wifi at times did not work too well.

Very quiet location. We felt the hotel and room were clean and reasonably new. Staff are very polite and friendly and can speak excellent English. They were able to accomodate our requests for higher level and away from lifts. They have on-site self-service laundry which is a big plus from us. Towels were changed daily and all bathroom amenities were there. Good filter coffee provided in room. Love the outlook of the hotel building and inside reception area, blend in so well with the Kyoto living and style.

Location is slightly remote from central (Chome 4) eateries/ shops but to be fair, the price perhaps reflect that and for us, group of 4, taking the taxi everywhere is probably still cheaper compared to staying in other hotels in more central area). There were some but not a lot of places/ choices for food in evening. We ended up taxi back to the Train station (only cost 700 - 1000 yens each way) for dinner on first night and ate before heading back to hotel in other evenings. Rooms are a bit small and limited storage but this is quite normal for Japanese standard hotel room. Did not try their breakfast as we found it a bit pricey.

It is nestled in a mix residential and small shops. The streets are narrow, so not much fast traffic. It was quite and great to walk around and discover the local feel. The place is clean and beautifully designed and gives us a calm and relaxing feel. Close to the Kyoto station which makes traveling easy. There are small eateries around, and of course the convenience stores.

The room feels small, could be better in getting more utility out of the space. Found difficult to put things down or put things away. More of living out of the suitcase arrangement. Would like to see a sink separate from the shower/ bath. It’s always a fight to get cleaned with a family of 4 in a room with 3 twins.

When you walk it's really amazing and looks luxurious. The staff are absolutely incredible! They were always so kind and helpful at all hours. The bike hire at the hotel was awesome and their bikes had electric assist and was very cheap to rent. I would book again for the staff alone

The king room (Japanese style) we booked was just 3 single beds put together with mattress protectors. They kept falling apart during our sleep due to it being a Japanese style room with no actual bed frame. Very uncomfortable bedding/mattress.

It’s in a very good location, close the city center and easy accessibility to buses and metro. The size of the rooms are a bit tight if you are traveling with big luggages. Not much room for storage so suggest taking the bigger rooms if you need more space.

The storage space for bags and closet space. The floors Vegas could’ve been more comfortable, they weirdly divide in 3 so when you wake up you could find gaps in the mattress but overall a good experience.

I loved the ambience and the complimentary drinks and refreshments in the evening. The hotel was lovely and clean. The staff were also excellent and friendly. I had checked out and left something in my room, I called the hotel and it was promptly found and returned to me later on in the day! I am very grateful! It was also an easy walk to the bus stops so it was convenient to travel around.

There isn't much I did not like, but the rooms are a little small if you need to open two big suitcases.

The cleanliness and the services were nothing to scoff at. Everything is up to par as to what we expected of from Japanese hospitality and more. They also offer spaces for dining where you can bring your own food, especially for dinner.

The only issue is the location as the walk to the nearest metro station is a tiny bit far, coupled with the fact that we travelled with elders so that can be an issue. However, the location is not an issue if you don't mind walking.

This hotel looks brand new, very modern, stylish. The room and the bathroom were spacy, comfortable. There is a laundry room, which came in our 3 weeks travel trip very useful. The hotel looks also from the outside very nice. Although it is not located in the city centre, the area is quiet and the centre is easily reachable with a bus. This place is highly recommended! We would love to come again!

The only thing we would appreciate, if there would be more European/western food choices for breakfast. Otherwise all was great.

Like others have said, I appreciated the quiet location, while still being easy walking distance from Kyoto station. The lobby is beautiful. The staff were lovely and assisted us in English very well. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. USB outlets by the bed. Smart TV that you can easily cast to from your personal devices.

The windows are frosted over for privacy which is common in Japan but I always miss having a see through window. Our bedside lamp was out of battery (yes batteries, it doesn’t plug in). There wasn’t really an appropriate place to put the kettle as there was no outlet by the cabinet. I ended up putting on the headboard which probably isn’t very safe.

The room was extremely clean and the breakfast was delicious. The personnel was very competent and I felt very comfortable and at home right from the beginning. I also really enjoyed the free coffee option in the afternoon, it was great to warm up after a whole day outside. A great experience. The position also wasn't as bad as I thought, it's really close to several bus stations.

The bathroom was somewhat small. I wish the restaurant option was still open since it was somewhat of a hassle having to get food, especially when there are only convenience stores in the area. I know it's not their fault though, since it's due to covid restrictions. Also, my table lamp wasn't working... or at least I've never managed to figure out how to make it work.
