The location is just perfect. 2 tube stations are within walking distance and local buses to main attractions stop very close to the hotel. The breakfast is really good and delicious, and the hotel staff are very nice and speak English well enough.

The room was great and spacious. The bathroom was clean. The hotel does a great job at providing optional amenities free of charge like hair masks, cleansers, toners, bath salts etc. They also have an opt in cleaning schedule to reduce waste/strain on the environment. The location of the hotel is great with easy access to public transport and walkable distances to local sights. Request: It would be great if the hotel could provide bicycle parking. As Kyoto can be easily toured on rented bikes, but you cannot park them outside of designated parking spaces, it would be great to have that option.

The hotel was great. Clean and nice decorated, Even thought the room was small, we felt comfortable. They have any kind of amenitie you need. The bathroom was great. The breakfast was good, but a little bit more choices for western customers as an boiled egg, ham and cheese it will be great.

Just a little bit the location. It's in the middle of Kyoto Station and Nishiki Marker. But there is a bus stop (205, 14, 7 ) just 3 min a walk for Kyoto station.

Great hotel, amazing breakfast buffet was the highlight, even though very Japanese style, but could still have my continental style jam and yoghurt. Surprisingly nice coffee from the machine. Room was great - got a free upgrade to a bigger bed! Window annoyingly doesn't open, but ac works very well. The fan in the bathroom doesn't stop but it's still soundproofed so it didn't bother me. Tip - that means that if you do laundry and clothes haven't dried completely, put them on hangers in the shower rail overnight, they will dry very well! Staff was super helpful and friendly, not everyone spoke English but had 0 problems. They also offer a lot of amenities like hair irons and what not. Definitely recommend.

Locked window, would be nice to let fresh air into the room.

The location is considered not far from the famous Gion and shopping area Kawaramachi (just a few blocks by walk or take a bus), near konbini, bus stops, but bit stretch your leg from the nearest subway station (need to transfer by subway from Kyoto station). Also please be aware that most of the shop are closing in 8 pm while restaurants and coffee shop are closing in 6 pm (maybe not in case of izakaya and afterhours bar in some area). The staff are super friendly, the Kyoto-style breakfast are beyond expectations, great taste and I’m pretty sure that it is crafted with heart 😍

The room is a bit cramped and dark because of non visible outdoor window, too bad.

Location is very central and has many options for public transport. We booked connecting rooms which was great when travelling with a family. Service is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well assorted and restocked in time. Unfortunately, other guests kept changing the temperature of the small toaster ovens to much higher than recommended, and if you don't see it in time, your buns will burn. Wasing machines for laundry are available; wash, dry or a combination of both (which only works perfectly if you keep to the recommended weights). Works only on 100 ¥ coins.

Only 3 washing machines for doing laundry available and the availability for them on the hotel info screen on the tv didn't work, so many guests ended up waiting at the machines to get one. One machine didn't tumble dry and left the laundry really wet, which was hard to dry in time. I ended up going to the laundry room several times at night, since we were 6 persons. I tried to explain to the staff that they might need to have it checked, but the nice young man didn't really understand what I meant in English and my Japanese was not sufficient enough to explain in Japanese.

The check in was torturous. It took 30 to 45 minutes to complete that. The staff had great difficulty in finding the bookings even though we have the details on our mobile phone app. The rooms were not suited for double occupancy. They are only suitable for single occupancy with single bed. With two beds, there is no space for bags. We were on a 17 day trip to Japan and each room had double occupancy and two suitcases. That was terrible.

The hotel is relatively close to the Higashiyama district, from which you can access many of its pagodas, temples and shrines. We also had great sleeps on the hotel's bed, and although there was only a handful of staff speak English fluently, everyone was actively trying to communicate with us using their body language. The pricing value of this hotel is exceptionally good if you make a reservation about 4 months prior to the high travel season (Cherry blossoms/Red leaves).

The noise resistance of the room is not very good but luckily there was minimal construction at the surrounding buildings during our stay.
