A elegant kyoto-style place to stay ! The hotel was near the kyoto city subway station "Gojo" exit 1. However, if you carry the luggages to hotel, exit 6 with elevator is preferred.

The hotel is too new that the taxi driver could not find the hotel on his GPS. You can show the hotel location on Google Maps and he will understand it.

The property is beautiful, our room was spacious and had a great view. The property had lots of amenities and the staff were very helpful

Tattoos aren’t aloud in bath, very outdated policy. Japanese people aren’t even staying at the hotel so who even cares

The lobby is absolutely beautiful and calming right when you walk in. Upon check in, you are provided with a welcome drink which was a lovely touch (matcha dessert or coffee/croissant). Rooms are large in size and well designed, super nice to relax in after a long day. Has tatami mats (no shoes or slippers) for the bedroom area, and spacious split bathrooms with standing showers. Very clean, modern, elegant, and comfortable. Elevators are fast and modern (buttons are touchless) even with the number of guests. Basement floor has public baths, fitness room, coin laundry (5 machines, can check usage status from room tv), and refreshments (including small snacks, milk and matcha popsicles). Staff was efficient and helpful. Location was stellar - 2 min walk from Gojo Station which is one station north of Kyoto station, and had a grocery store, 2 drugstores, and a dollar store next door.

This is a fantastic place to stay while in Kyoto. The property is absolutely beautiful. The location is close to many temples and within walking distance to the train station. It also has a restaurant on site with a good breakfast buffet.

The elevators must somehow be connected to their smoking room, because every time we got in the elevator there was a faint scent of cigarette smoke. The restaurant was good, but inconsistent on the price for my kids. Sometimes they charged less for them, and sometimes they were charged full adult price. The location is wonderful, but it is also directly across from a fire station. This was not a problem except for one night when the alarms and sirens went off at 3AM.

A newly opened hotel in the year 2022, the hotel has incorporated many Japanese designs and tastes throughout the space. I was impressed with the Zen feeling whenever I walked through the passage garden before entering the hotel lobby. We got a quadruple room, the room is spacious, and there is tatami space for relaxation. There are welcome drinks & snacks upon check-in. There is a snack corner in the basement, where guests can enjoy the free flow of drinks and snacks. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located quite far from the main shopping street. The room is not well ventilated. One of the hotel staff came to the room to help us adjust the air ventilation setting, but the air in the room is stale and stuffy.

Walking off the street into the breezeway towards the lobby, lets you know you’re entering somewhere special, this is a beautiful property. The staff are lovely. We had a room on the fifth floor with two comfortable twin beds pushed together making a bed larger than a king. The room was a good size and the bathroom was great with a large shower. The amenities in the room were everything you could need., toiletries, kettle, tea and coffee, safe and small fridge. The Onsen and the lounge in the basement that’s well stocked with complementary cookies, nuts, ice cream, a cold drinks fridge and an automated espresso machine was fantastic. The laundry room in the basement/lounge area had a washing machine/dryer combination that was appreciated and even more so, that you could use the tv in your room to know how much time was left on your laundry. The loads took over two hours so being able to watch the machine was helpful as was the keypad lock so no one could take your things. The hotel is about 1 1/2 blocks from the Gojo subway station. Perfect.

The only improvement could be more hooks in the bathroom. Can you ever have enough?

We had a "Moderate King Room". Whilst not generous in size it was comfortable and enough for the two of us. The guest lounge in the basement with soft drinks and coffee (and Snickers bars) was welcome as was the big bath. Staff were so nice. Breakfast was pretty standard, not overly exciting, but adequate. The view from our window was of the street and buildings next door. Location was between a couple of train stations (Gojo and Kiyomizu-Gojo) giving access to two different train lines. Fifteen minutes walk to Shincho, an area containing department store, shops and lots of quality restaurants.

Not particularly close to tourist attractions but train services are plentiful and cheap

Clean and modern. Spacious rooms and common areas. Loved the communal bathhouse & guest lounge. Love the technology of info being viewable on your room tv, like when the washing machine is free to use.

Need to keep on top of restocking guest lounge in the busy times. Coffee machine was always out of milk in the evening.

A beautiful hotel between the main station of Kyoto and the shopping district. The entrance is beautiful made with wood appliances and a small pond. The extremely friendly staff welcomed us with a welcome drink while out room has being prepared. The room had a seating area and two huge, comfortable beds, with enough space to organize our luggage. The bath features everything you need. The breakfast was extremely good with many options from a buffet, as well as a choice between japanese food and omelets/sandwiches. When one of our suitcases broke, the staff spared no effort to get it fixed, which included making calls to numerous shops and calling a taxi to drive me there together with my luggage.

Sadly, the most important part about a hotel is the sleep, and having a view from our window right towards the fire station on the other side of the street, we didn‘t really get enough of it. The street itself also seems to be host for some illegal races during the night, which had us standing straight in our beds.
