We had a room with frontal views of the sea and Nagahama Castle and a sprawling park. Breakfast was exceptional with a good mix of western items. There were regular free shuttle services to the train station which was only a 15 minutes walk away. On the eastern side of the station are interesting streets with many small shops offering local food, pastries and souvenirs. We even managed to fit in a day trip to Hikone Castle.

The room wasn't dirty yet it seemed dusty. We felt better the next day when we asked the room to be cleaned and beddings and linen changed.

Great location overlooking Lake Biwa, and about a ten minute walk from the train station. From my room, I had a view of Nagahama Castle and the park as well as Lake Biwa. Very spacious room, with a sitting area right by the window. Excellent buffet breakfast and especially dinner. Nice big rocky rotemburo.

Expensive. Unsecured wi-fi. You can clearly hear footsteps from the room above. A bit worn. Rather crowded in the dining area.

Public bath was modern and chic. It was quite spacious so even though there were many people, it didn’t feel crowded. No limitations on tattoos, etc. The complimentary vinegar drinks, tea, and amazake were excellent. Relaxation lounge was wonderful; indeed relaxing. The room was Japanese-style, spacious, and had a view of the sea and mountains. Great experience for anyone who wants the “traditional Japanese experience.” Toothbrushes in the room were (partially) made of bamboo, which was also a nice surprise for the environment. There is wifi in the room! Booking says there isn’t wifi, but there is, so that was a pleasant surprise.

I opted out of breakfast. Mainly because it was a little on the expensive side. I kind of regret not going for it because the pictures look great.

Clean, comfortable and very spacious. Most of the rooms have fabulous views of beautiful lake Biwa (the others look towards the town and the mountains beyond). All inclusive buffet dinner and breakfast, with a huge choice of delicious dishes including Japanese, European and Asian cuisines. I also enjoyed the big indoor and outdoor onsen baths.

Our non-smoking room had a distinct smell of cigarette, and its decor was looking a little worn.

I really liked the aesthetic and the atmosphere. The hotel room was clean and organized. The breakfast buffet had a variety of dishes and they all tasted great. There was also a lot of activities to keep you occupied such as ping pong, a swimming pool and hot springs.

Although the hotel was great, its price was way out of budget for one night. The situation wasn’t great, as there weren’t things to do outside the hotel

The resort is an older building, but spacious. Large clean and very comfortable rooms. Kind of customer oriented rather being profit oriented. There are much free selections available to all. The staff is great too. We truly enjoyed our stay.

The step to the bathroom is over 20 centimeters high. Kind of high for old knees.

Beautiful locatiot at lake Biwa with winderful view, onsen and sauna, spacious room, amazing staff and services. We didn't have breakfast or dinner, we tried the complimemtary night cap and it was very pleasant. Overall a nice, relaxing stay

The hotel was a bit "retro" and could use modernisation.

Fabulous gourmet buffet breakfast, many foods and choices. Included local dishes and delicacies. I will return just for the buffet, although the rest of the hotel was great too, including kind and friendly staff

More time spent there would have been better :)

Located beside Lake Biwa, this hotel was exceptional in terms of comfort, food, and the hot spring. Additionally, the hotel offers complimentary drinks with the buffet dinner. The variety of both breakfast and dinner was excellent.

Nothing.

The breakfast buffet was great. They have fresh and delicious gluten-free bread, the best I've had in a hotel, and they bake it for you right then. It takes a few minutes for the bread to be ready, but totally worth the wait!
