A wonderful hotel, the lobby is very open and inviting and the staff were wonderful and worked around the clock. There is a breakfast buffet that runs daily and is very reasonably priced (about $18AUD a person) and it has a mix of Western and Japanese food. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the cleaners come daily to refit your room. If you don’t want your room cleaned every day they come every 3 days regardless for sanitation purposes - on the days you opt not to clean they leave the towels on your door. There are soaps, bath salts, coffee, tea, combs etc all in the lobby to take as you need along with drink vending machines, smoking area in the Lobby, ice stations on varying floors and a microwave on L12. I chose a smoking room and you are able to open a window to air out the room if need be. The hotel is right in front of Sakae Station and a large entertainment district, perfect to access attractions and eat and drink, and the bus station is very close by. There is also a Family Mart right downstairs, it’s really such a convenient location. I would definitely stay here again, loved my stay with this place. Very classic hotel, felt like I was transported to a classier time.

There is no laundry facility in the hotel and the closest ones are about 30 mins on foot away (or 7 mins via taxi, about $13AUD). Pillows were a little hard but from the hotels I’ve stayed in I think this is a norm for Japan. Double bed is truly a double bed and might be a bit uncomfortable for 2 people (not bad enough to forgo this hotel).

Very comfortable and nearest to shopping areas, accessibility. Nice welcome reception and cleaning staff, able to communicate for non-Japanese guest.

Purpose of my trip was to do eye cataract surgery at Osu. Last day checked out at 0900 was rain so not good for me to stay outdoor as after checked out I need to revisit eye clinic for examination. I told male reception staff at check out and requested to call taxy but he just told me to go out to find taxy by myself. I was so disappoint for the hotel staff unable to assist upon my requested to call taxy. I was end up catching subway with many of up & down stairs due can't stay too long outdoor and wait for taxy. Lucky it won't affect my eye after the surgery. Thanks.

Fairly new, more space, better than the pictures showing , exceeded my expedition. Good location , near the train station, convenience.

Perfect location. It is near everything you need (train stations, bus stations, restaurants, mall, supermarket, parks, and more) Great amenities. Lots of free and unlimited supplies such as coffee, tea, bath salts, moisturizers, comb, etc. The coffee is really good. My son enjoyed the bath salts too.

!Air-conditioning! Our room is really warm. We had to open the window to get cool air which made us hear the loud noise outside the hotel. Too loud that we cannot sleep and if we do fall asleep, we get startled by loud engine sounds and people shouting. The hotel should fix their air-conditioning system.

Price was very competitive, and the location near Sakae and Hisaya Odori Park seemed a good idea (in the beginning -- see further comments below). Room cleaning and provision of room amenities was generous and courteous. Our complaint regarding the room we were initially given was handled courteously well.

The offered amenities compared to other hotels were very spare: No breakfast, no coin laundry, no common places to sit (e.g. library), that the savings in price does not really compensate for the missing facilities. The AC system is centralized and the local room controls are just for show. This was an issue with the Twin Comfort room we booked as it faced the closed courtyard making for poor air circulation and dark light conditions. In an outward facing room, one needs to open windows if room becomes too warm BUT drag racing hooligans around Hisaya Odori are VERY LOUD and kept us up every night. Noise outside is not the hotel's fault but the need to have to open windows because of poor AC system is. Also, Twin Comfort rooms are not better than cheaper double rooms.

I like everything except for the pillows. Staff are polite and kind. Location is superb. Close to everything and the bus stop from the airport is just 4 mins walk. There are many restaurants and malls nearby. The lobby smells nice and relaxing. We also tried their buffet breakfast and i like the japanese selection, my favorite is the tonkatsu and sauce are so yummy.

Pillows are so squishy that I felt i dont have a pillow on my head. I compared the pillow in my room to the one's in my parent's and theirs is more comfortable.

Quiet and comfortable hotel and location was on the "tamer" side of Sakae but still within a block away from the restaurants. Close to subway station exit but had no elevator/escalator.... Would consider staying here again

Bed was smaller than queen size but the frame would have fit that size. It's a bit too small for 2 people but still ok cause the bed was comfortable, the area and other guests were quiet therefore we were able to get good sleep during our stay Room was small but typical for Japan hotels of the same standard... It had a window but it was facing a concrete wall.. no biggie since it was closed all the time.

Y Sakaue is the best staff! Very helpful unlike ALL others. We left a package in a hotel in Tokyo, we needed someone to communicate with them, given the language barrier. Y Sakaue went above and beyond to help us even if the smaller guy with glasses on duty with him kept telling us it's not part of their job. It's customer service, and just, kindness. And oh, loved the bathtub salts and skin care packs!

A rude staff/receptionist. The hotel itself is highly recommended, near subway station, shopping area and restaurants.

The hotel looked very good, not new but we’ll maintained. Facade looks good and inviting. Rooms were average size for Japan but good value for its price. Hotel, aisle and rooms were very clean. The amenities were readily available at the lobby. Location was perfect near restaurants and several big end malls. Will definitely stay here again.

They wouldnt let my family in without swiping my card even though they had my credit card on their record.

Location was great since the hotel was near the Sakae station. Moreover, the hotel was also neat the Nagoya TV tower and the Sakae Chika underground mall.

I think that the room was slightly small although it was definitely still functional. The issues for me were that since I was traveling with a partner, I would have preferred a bigger room.
