The hotel is in a convenient location close to Nara station and a Lawson and 7-Eleven (within 5 - 8 minutes walk) and nearby attractions in the Kintetsu-Nara area like Higashimuki Shopping Street etc (approx 15 minute walk). Staff were friendly and helpful, storing our luggage before check in and after check out. Hotel offers good value for money considering closeness to Nara station, price includes a varied simple breakfast and a comfortable, quiet room. We also liked the communal area as a place to spend time outside of your room.

A thing to consider: we stayed in the twin room and it was a tight squeeze with our 2 large suitcases when opened out.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in two rooms, and both were clean and comfy. There is a microwave on the first floor and washing machines and dryers you can use for coins on the 5th floor. The best was the breakfast, it was delicious and nutritious. I took full advantage of it, I stuffed myself with food every morning and then went to tour the temples in the mountains near Nara, some of which require a lot of energy to walk around.

Close to JR Nara station. Literally five minutes. A short walk to Nara Park 15 minutes for a slow walker and many restaurants without the crazy crowds. Free breakfast included and the kettle in the room was great. Only needed to boil water once and it kept the water hot while plugged in. Staff were a standout. From the reception and especially the breakfast lady who was lovely and helpful.

My single pillow was horrible on the neck. It was far too thin, I had to put my travel pillow underneath it.

Room was comfortable and a good enough size for me, had everything i needed. Staff was kind and let me have an extra pillow. Free breakfast was a great start to the day and its very close to JR train station.

Other people have mentioned a smell when walking in the room... It is real! To me, the smell was felt only by the door and disappeared after a while. A bit of noise comes through because room was facing the street, but it didn't bother me.

Comfort Hotel Nara is just few blocks from JR Nara Station. Room is a little bit small, but big enough for business trip alone. I enjoyed the breakfast they provided. The dinning place provides free drink at night so that you can do a little bit reading or working. I stayed there for two consecutive nights, and hotel provided fresh towels without asking.

I like that even tho it seems the hotel was build long time ago,, it maintain the cleanliness. The room is not really squeezed space, just normal one. Same as the bathroom. I like there slippers, very comfy. The table and chair is big and mirror for make up. The breakfast is very like balanced food. Very simple breakfast buffet, which I think it’s worth it. Very affordable price all in all

Maybe the place where you hang your clothes, it’s very small space. The pillows are fiery flat and not comfortable.

I liked how close it was to the town center and to the rail station. The morning breakfast was good and the staff were very nice. Very helpful when needed. The room was fine. Coffee, water with lemon and tea were available at all times in the common room which was a plus it wanted a hot drink or some water.

Unfortunately I found the bed to be a little too firm for me. I had to improvise to make it a little more comfortable for me to sleep

Very good location: 3 mins walk from Nara station (which has a very good supermarket), and around 20 mins from Nara park and the shopping district. The breakfast offered a great variety of food (savory, sweet, western and Japanese) and I could see all guests enjoying it very much. The breakfast room is available to all guests until midnight and offers unlimited coffee and tea. The microwave oven can be used to warm up the takeaway food that you buy at the supermarket. The bedroom was okay in size and clean. Very comfortable bed and a minifridge. The staff was very lovely and helpful.

This is something that I've experienced in general in Japan, but for breakfast there are no food alternatives or labels specifying ingredients in the food for those with food allergies. I could still eat some fresh rice, boiled broccoli and fruits.

The room was very comfortable, large and practical. Good for one or two night in Nara center. The breakfast is very good. Inconvenient : it is quite far away from Nara Park and all the temples you want to visit, count at least 25 minutes to reach the first temples, 10 from the big market street, but only 3 from the JR station.

Staff. Convenient location. Good breakfast and self-served complimentary beverage bar. Nice cafe area.

I stayed on 8/F. There was a weird smell of some kind of plastic or electronic (?) especially when the air condition is not switched on and room ventilation is limited, i.e when room key is not inserted. Can occasionally hear the sound of police sirens from the road during midnight.
