Apartment was clean, well furnished (rice cooker, dryer function in bathroom, cooking utensils). Staff and boss (Jacky) were very attentive to our needs and leant forward to give us a good experience. Breakfast bar was well stocked with western and Japanese breakfast items. Had a good breakfast every morning to get ready for a good day on the slopes. Laundry facilities were great! Parking in front of hotel was very convenient too. A good place to base off, 3 mins drive to the slopes every day, and easy to drive around the region for ice cream, coffee and food.

The ski locker drying function wasn't very effective and our boots were slightly damp in the morning. But, you can use the drying function in your bathroom to dry stuff and they came out crisp and dry in the morning. No TV in the room, but didn't really have time to watch anyway.

The breakfast is great and they will shuttle you every morning to the base or gondola - that's actually huge, because the hotel is at the very bottom of Hirafu and it would be a long uphill walk otherwise. There are free public shuttles; however, they are usually overcrowded in the morning so you don't want to rely on them. So if you pick a place in Lower Hirafu, private shuttle is really useful. The hotel is pretty new and they clean the rooms regularly.

The rooms are a bit awkward. For example, there is no outlet around the kitchen area so you have to boil water in the bathroom. Also, the rooms are pretty small - I was expecting that and used the "double bed" room just for myself since staying for a longer period. And that was perfect. But it would be manageable for 2 people for shorter stays as well. Also, for a new building, the soundproofing is not great - you will hear neighbors from all sides.The check-in process is not great (and I am very technical person). They should just use some better app or having someone onsite, obviously, a lot of folks are struggling with it based on the reviews.

-No staff at front desk. Had a difficulty doing the self check-in via mobile phone at the front door, fortunately the staff came in and helped. Had he not seen me, I would be standing browsing through the phone for longer. -No TV -There were too few parking spaces

Free shuttle before 10am (Go anywhere in Hirafu: Rhythm, Gondola, Welcome Centre etc). Free Buffet Breakfast with good coffee (must try the Matcha Latte from the machine) Comfortable rooms with good air conditioning. Warm showers - essential after hitting the slopes. Friendly staff and kitchen staff. Room cleaning. Free laundry and storage areas. It can be a bit of a hike from the Gondola etc but with the free shuttle busses running you’ll be dropped off 2 minutes away from the property.

Awesome facilities, great location, tons of amenities and bonuses. We loved the free breakfast, unlimited hot pot dinner (with guest discount!) and the free shuttles to the gondola. Included ski lockers, parking, vending machines, and more. Great value, highly recommend!

The rooms were a little small, though there was space under the beds to store our luggage. Also it would have been nice to take the shuttle back from the mountain, though Niseko's public transportation didn't make this much of a problem.

Hotel or Service Appartments? You Choose... Yes it was a hotel but had a serviced apartment feel about it. Now thats not to say it was bad it just a little different than you would expect. Breakfast was included but had a basic western and asian style buffet. The owner Jackson was a young first time hotelier and Jacky his father floating around. Staff were amazing and as it was low season ski, the shuttle bus that would transport you up to the welcome centre had stopped. The hotel ran a oneway service up to the lifts from 7-10am'ish daily! Amazing service!! From the bottom of the Bunny run at Grand Hirafu the walk was 10min back, 800m down the hill... Would definitely stay here again!! Great value for money!!

The hotel doesn't have an Onsen which isn't a game changer but would place this Hotel in a different class... The rooms have Lino floor's which are great for cleaning but not so good at 1am when someone is dragging a chair across the floor from the room above!!!

Great owners - is a family run business but mind that the owners are not your standard - as they own a set of companies and is just humbling to see that someone who owns a billion dollar enterprise is hustling the floor like anyone else because he is passionate to start a new business - my kudos to you the best part is the transport to anywhere you need - this make the difference on this place - it is great!

As a startup some small places to get better - but the service just makes up for all - calendar of cleaning needs to be followed - it is perfect for a week of ski

The hotel staff were very polite and the hotel car drop off to the gondola every morning before 10am. The owner was taking pride of the hotel. Chris (one of the staff from Taiwan) is very helpful and informative about where the public onsen was and how to get back to Sapporo as we were worried that train would not run due to severe weather condition at the time. A surprise that not only hot and continental breakfast (w nice coffee/cocoa machine) but also dinner (similar variety to breakfast minus the continental range) were provided which was very convenient for us family who were very tired to go out after a long day of skiing. Compare to other hotel on Booking.com, for the price, the room was very spacious with useful drying room and laundry facilities.

The room was not cleaned unless we asked by putting the “please make up the room” sign. Out of 6 nights, only 2 days the room was cleaned and the Futon beds were not made up. The Free Hirafu Shuttle bus only runs till 5pm so had to walk about (feels like) 10mins in the slippery snowy/icy road to go to the main road to get anything.

Each day there was the option of a breakfast, lunch and dinner at an inclusive price. There was also a dining area for those wishing to have a shabu-shabu (hotpot dinner of beef (wagyu or Australian, king crab, scallops with Ying/Yang stock - Szechuan spicy and non-spicy). This was pricey but included free flow drinks including soft drinks, beers and spirits. One request for improvement on the buffet breakfast would be to add fried eggs. The fayre was however more than adequate. Indeed, on several occasions the management asked for feedback about what could be better about the hotel and restaurant. The staff could not have been more helpful. As one of many examples, they arranged for two cars to take the five of us back to the Kutchan station at 7.30am to get the train to the airport. This, along with lifts to various places in town such as the ski lift and rental areas was free of charge. The staff between them spoke at least Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese and English.

The location is a 5-10 minute walk to the town centre. With the snow as it was, I recommend getting good quality, non-slip shoes for the walk up and down the hill as we all had a fall at some point.

Location great, breakfast great. Staff were all excellent in terms of communication, making guests feel welcome and comfortable, providing assistance and friendly service. Rooms were adequate.

Access to the TV was too dependent on use of current technology etc, difficult to read in Japanese. Single beds only in both of the bedrooms in our apartment. Not really suitable for us.
