This was my favorite hostel during my 4 weeks in Japan. Perfect for a solo traveler, with helpful friendly staff. Good location in Osaka. I booked a double room with private bathroom, and it felt like a step up from other hostels where I've booked single rooms. Overall I liked the arrangements and enjoyed my stay there.

Only minor things, like sometimes there could be very long wait for the elevator. Not suprising considering many guests that stays there. A little bit of a walk to the closest metro stops, but not that big of a deal.

Excellent location, a short walk from several subway lines. Hostel is next door to a convenience store, which is also great. The building is new, modern, and well-maintained. There is a shared kitchen with free use of stove, drinking water, hot water kettle, microwave, and refrigerator (although the fridge is full depending on the amount of guests using it). There is also a paid washer/dryer. The room itself is small but sufficient for 2 people. There is a small desk/dresser. The bathroom is the standard Japanese bathroom with a tub and shower, as well as a toilet with bidet. Room and bathroom are clean and well-maintained. Would definitely consider booking here again, and would recommend it to my friends and family.

Modern building, nice room, comfortable bed. Air conditioning works great. Shower is good, and fresh sheets and towels are available every few days. Shared kitchen has everything you need. Family Mart and Lawson are just around the corner, while 7-Eleven is a 4 min walk and Life supermarket is a 9 min walk.

Location is decent, but it requires transferring subway lines to reach Namba or Umeda. The area doesn’t have many restaurants. Additionally, there’s only one refrigerator for the entire building, limiting the amount of groceries you can store for cooking.

I had an amazing experience at this hostel in Osaka! Not only was it incredibly clean and comfortable, with a great location but the staff were also exceptionally friendly and helpful. I lost my backpack at the airport, and the staff assisted me by calling the airport and ensuring that the information about my missing luggage was relayed to the hostel. I only stayed for two nights before moving to another hostel that couldn’t accept my backpack if it was found. However, the staff at &AND HOSTEL SHINSAIBASHI EAST were so helpful and agreed to stay in contact with the airport and receive my luggage even after I had checked out. A few days after my stay, I received an email from the hostel informing me that they had received my backpack and would keep it safe until I could pick it up. Their kindness and excellent service truly stood out. I highly recommend this hostel!

If you're solo travelling or with a partner I would definitely recommend this hostel. The staff were super helpful and friendly, you can always rely on them to help you out whether it's where to eat for breakfast or where to go for bar. As they are locals so they know their ways around. You are gonna meet people from all around the world, its always fun talking to people from different cultures and making new friends. big shout out to the hard working staffs. I will definitely come back.

The best staff and a very good location (four subway lines within a 15min walk, a lot of small restaurants nearby, has all three major konbinis within 5mins of each other). Osaka Castle, Namba, Shinsaibashi, Dotonbori/Kuromon are all within walking distance (~30min walk)

Dorm accommodations can use a bit more ventilation especially within/to the capsules, management needs to equip the front-of-house staff with a digital/physical map that contains updated information on places nearby that guests might be interested in e.g. recommended restaurants, etc.

Very nice athmosphere, loved the common area and although we are traveling as a family my partner and I always love when there is a bit of community and a common area. The rooms were clean and simple, but all you need. The floor bed was perfect because we were bedsharing with our 1,5 year old toddler. It is close to metro stations (about 10 minutes walking into different directions) but it takes a couple of transfers usually to get to the tourist spots. Definitely not a problem but for us traveling with a toddler it sometimes could be a bit stressful getting all the planned connections (for example we missed a few on our way to universal studios) so keep this in mind if you have to relay on elevators due to a stroller or wheelchair etc Overal would definitely recommend!

Although the rooms were nice, they were small for the 3 of us so I recommend upgrading to a room with an extra bed to get a bigger room if you are traveling with a family.

The hostel was my first ever hostel experience and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to them. The place was clean, easily accessible from the station and the staff was really nice and helpful. The lobby on the 1st floor had a table for Introverts who wanted to interact with people but we're shy of doing it themselves. I really appreciated that touch.

Honestly, nothing comes to mind. The space in the room was limited especially when all the pods were taken and everyone had big bags with them. But nothing that could not be gotten around.

It was just perfect room. The rooms were so comfortable and affordable that is gave us so much of our own space. Everything was clean, the staff were really friendly and would help with any issues or give me answers. Which was a double edge sword, making meeting other travelers harder.

The dryer takes 1 hour as minimum. Would have preferred 30 mins. The light switch by the bed gives off a glow, it should not be there. It would be nice to host an open event for travelers once a week to get to know others here.

The hostel is very easy to find and it’s right next to a convenience store. The nearest metro station is about 6-minute walk. The neighborhood is also full of nice restaurants, so it’s very convenient if you are a bit tired of going to downtown area. The check-in process was easy and the staff was very helpful. We landed at 7 am and obviously we were very tired. After going around the town for a few hours, we came back and asked if it’s ok to check-in before 4 pm, because we were very tired. The staff kindly let us checked in a little after 3 pm. The room is very clean. The bed is comfortable for two people. The bathroom is small, but exceptionally clean. The water pressure is also great.

The vent noise was a little bit loud, but it wasn’t a big issue overall.
