Room rates are very affordable, with a bathhouse in-hotel. Has a cooking area complete with stove, microwave, and pots and pans. Has laundry machinese also for those who need to do their laundry. Very close to stations Shin-Imamiya and Dobutsuen-mae. Walking distance to Tennoji Zoo, and a bit further for Namba area. Has ramen stores in the vicinity, and multiple convenience stores nearby.

Room walls are very thin, I can basically hear the snoring from the next door occupant. 😂 Check-in is strictly until 11pm only. If you arrive after that time, there is no reception/front desk available.

After 2yrs not able to visit Osaka, I am glad I returned for the 3rd and 4th time... stayed here on 13-15 and 17-24 July...room 507 and 504 Very convenient from Nankai Shin imamiya station about 160 Yen from Namba station and it’s just about 3-4 min walk just make sure you go out from west exit or Nishi deguchi... close and convenient to shinsekai, tennoji park, Tsutenkaku Tower, convenient and cheap food food from 24hrs market... Loved the facilities provided, complimentary coffee, tea and cold drinks, facilities to cook your own food...the hotel management has their customer needs in their mind and for budget solo travelers like myself this is excellent I’d definitely like to return..じゃまったね、 To the staff and management 本当に ありがとうございまじた!! 何が じゃま が 会ったら 本当にすみませんでした!! お疲れ様でした!! 頑張ってね!!

Pillows too soft but it’s still ok... some guest don’t keep the communal toilet sink clean on the guest room floor but it’s still ok... it is cleaned and it is still a clean and comfortable place to stay

Solo travelers, pay attention. Hotel Zipang is a great value. Rooms are small but comfortable. I arrived 4 hours before noon check-in and they immediately gave me a room. The sento was well-stocked with soap and shampoo. I have tattoos but they did not mind (I have been turned away from other sentos because of this). Coffee is good and free. Ground floor facilities were very nicely put together. Staff did not speak English so learn some Japanese. :) Location is not perfect but the hotel is very close to two subway lines, JNR and Nankai rail service. Highly recommended. I will stay here next time I visit Osaka. :)!!!

Room could have been a bit cleaner but not really an issue.

It's a good price for a single bed room. A little bit small but it's okay since you'll be travelling a lot so it's not that bad for a room to stay. You'll get a free coffee,tea on the first floor and a share bathroom that kinda good for the price you pay. And the best thing is it's near the JR & Metro station.

The smoking smell is kinda bad in the corridor. Sometime the noise from corridor will get in and because it's near the station you will hear a lot of noise from the station but it isnt that much they give you free earplugs too

You better know some basic Japanese before arriving here :-D but the service is great, rules are clear, and place - clear. The showers are equipped with stuff to clean yourself. There is some noise from busy street, but you can take earplugs for free. Hotel info is written in English too.

Small downside is that there is only one normal toilet on floor. There is plenty of rooms on each so it's easily to meet occupied toilet, then you need to travel all the hotel to find free one. But still for that price it's not that bad.

Brilliant place. My second stay here. Staff speaks very little English so brush up your Nihongo. The sento is great...no problem if you have tattoos. The rooms can be a bit noisy...the rooms at the back of the hotel seem to be a bit quieter than the street side. Free coffee. Excellent facilities. Luggage storage. Very professionally run. Very convenient for JR and Nangkai rail.

This hotel is so close to JR Shin Imamiya station, actually backs up to the station. Very small rooms but clean n safe. Good for people who need just a clean place to sleep. Free all-you-can drink soft drinks available in the lobby for 24 hours.

Because of the proximity to the station, at a lower level/floor you hear too much noise. Make sure to get a room on a higher floor.

Tabacco smell in the room, i had to keep it open for hours. No ofuro for girls in the building (but i guess there are not enough girls guest staying in this neighborhood... Also maybe that is why girls bathrooms are so clean) The japanese male guest staying here are a little bit different from other Japanese males (looking too much & their behave), but I can understand why...

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The location is very accessible to trains station and mall. The size of the room is just right for 1 person. Mattress is comfortable. And the staff are friendly and helpful in assisting the guest( specially when I did my laundry.)

It is a bit noisy though, since at the back of the hotel is a train track. But they do provide earplugs to compensate the noise

This accommodation has a small kitchen that you can use any time. It helped me to save my budget to stay at Osaka. I think this kitchen can make a difference from other hotel and could be strong point. Of course, the price per night is much cheaper than other hotels located at center of Osaka city. The space of each room is rather smaller but for solo-traveller, this is good enough.

The temperature of 1st floor was a bit hot, even though air-con was operational.
