The location of Sapporo Park Hotel is excellent. It's just a couple minute walk to the nearest station exit and just several stations down from the city centre. The room was nice and I had a lovely view of Nakajima Koen (with the park-side view room). The park is really beautiful during the autumn. I originally booked a smoking room by accident but the hotel staff were kind enough to change this to non-smoking upon checking in. As a digital nomad, I found that working out of the room was fine (I remember the wifi could be spotty at times). I could also always walk to a nearby cafe or take the train two stops to a cafe in downtown. The hotel staff at the front desk all spoke English and were nice folks.

There's no gym or pool if this is important to you.

We like our room with the view of mountains and nakajima park. I specially requested this room and they granted it, it made a huge difference, made our stay much more enjoyable and relaxing. The breakfast buffet was great! We like every dish they serve especially the croissant, cheesecake, and the pork steak. The staff are very warm and respectful but the problem was most of the staff have difficulty in communicating in English. We don’t speak Japanese so we don’t understand each other, we need to use a translator for them to understand us. Also, at the time of our visit they don’t offer anything or any activity for New Year’s Eve, their restaurants close early and the place is so quiet. We were hoping we could watch the New Year’s Eve countdown even on the television but nothing so we just slept. This is the first time we do not celebrate the countdown.

Almost every staff have difficulty in communicating in English. No activity for New Year’s Eve

It's a very good location, next to the park. The one meal I had at the Chinese restaurant was pretty good. Rooms small but comfortable. Maid service very diligent. I stayed here as my last hotel on my Japan trip and it was a decent way to end the trip.

The AC only has 3 settings, low, high, and off. And it's AC in the summer and heat in the winter. I didn't realize until the last day that I could ask them to open the window to get some airflow, it says it in the room card.

I believe I booked like the cheapest economy room there, but we were treated like any other guests who booked better rooms. I cant believe there were staff who helped us carry our luggages, then escorting us from the reception into our room. Room is clean and smell free despite it was a smoking room, and they rewarded us with a free can of local beer/drink of our choice everyday if we skip housekeeping. There is a very nice park to stroll just beside the hotel, and the train station is like 100m away from the hotel, which is very convenient.

The view from our room was amazing. The proximity to the metro station was also very convenient in addition to there being a few convenience stores nearby. Despite being in a lower tier room, the staff also took the initiative to privately escort us to our room and give us all the information we needed.

We weren't able to take our hotel key out with us, and there is pretty questionable security as all you need to get your key back is a name and room number. It also meant we both were limited to leave and return to the room at the same time.

The location and facilities were all good.

You can't change the air conditioning temperature, so it was very hot for me all night.

FOR ME, I AM LUCKY TO HAVE THIS HOTEL every time i am at Sapporo. It offers a sufficient quad room for my family. they can clean your room everyday or swap it with free tokens (like drinks) food is good, and since i go here on winter season, the Sapporo park is just beside. train station is also in front, bus to airport is just across and 24/7 food mart (like lawson & family) are nearby. tho it is not at the city center, train is just across and few minutes away

none

A staff member took my luggage for me to my room and gave me a tour of their room. They had a supermarket inside the hotel and offered multiple services like massages (for a price of course). Having breakfast at the hotel allowed you to go to the highest floor and see the park view from the photos while you're enjoying your breakfast. The hotel was within 5 minutes of a subway stop and it took about 3 stops to reach Sapporo Station.

When checking in they offered me a QR code where I could find all the hotel options and information. The problem was that it was entirely in Japanese and there didn't seem to be an English version. I recall staying on the 6th floor and there wasn't a window view of the park, only a rooftop and wall

Nice and big room with park/ mountain view was great. Water kettle and fridge in the room were nice to store some stuff and make some tea/coffee. The staff was so friendly, I enjoyed that. Rooms were soundproof, which I also liked a lot having experienced very different in Japan. About 20 minutes walking distance to the center, next to the subway and around the corner of some nice restaurants and coffee shops (smooch coffee, recommend!). The hotel has taxi's waiting in front so it's easy to grab a taxi somewhere too. Overall very nice experience for great value. The park in front of the hotel is also very nice! Hotel also offers extra service such as massage or laundry. We did not use it during our stay, but the service there is easy.

The bed was comfortable but also a bit wobbly, so if you or your partner move a lot in their sleep that can be an 'issue'. Window did not open, but there was an air purifier in the room though, so that's nice.
