The room was extremely spacious for our family of 4, with 2 beds. The separate rooms for toilet and shower/sink were appreciated. The lobby was very tranquil. This was the only hotel of 10 we stayed at on this trip that had its own dedicated parking area, which was convenient. The room had a washing machine, which was helpful. Although it didn't seem to have a real heat drying function, which we found to be the same at other hotels with washing machines.

The hotel was kind of remote, although in a densely populated area, we didn't find anything nearby worth visiting, so we drove elsewhere for food, shopping, etc.

This is our second time with Fav Hotel. We stayed at Fav Hotel Kumamoto last year and we had a good time. So. I decided to choose this hotel Chainoi again. Excellent choice for family with small kids. Comfortable beds with enough space to move around. The room feel likes home with washing machine and small kitchen. The bathroom, which has a special function to dry our clothes after washing, is quite cool.

I wish it’s closer to convenient stores. But walking 5-6 minutes is also no big deal.

This is a fabulous place. The hostess is the best in Japan. Where did you find that wonderful person?! The room was spacious and could serve a whole family. The bathroom is a miracle with a drying patent after washing your laundry in the washing machine that stands right there! The KitchenAid was fully equipped and convenient. We loved this special place and wil surely recommend to all our friends.

The price was amazing for what you get -- a king sized bed, washing machine in the room (which we didn't end up using but a nice surprise), decently sized bathroom, table with two chairs, etc. We slept so comfortably and were pleasantly surprised by the room. The lady who helped us was also so sweet -- she came up to explain how to dry our clothes, helped us call a taxi, and was genuinely very helpful. Would highly recommend!

The check in is completely automated through a screen and there's no one at the counter if you run into issues. This isn't a huge problem as someone was able to assist us when we had trouble checking in but FYI if you check in during off hours it will not be possible to enter.

The hotel was very clean and offered great amenities (washing machine, wash room that doubles as drying room, two comfortable queen size beds and a decent sized room for 3 adults (by Japanese standards it was quite big). Very good value for money.

Staff were not evident except at check-in. The reception desk did not have someone manning it during business hours, so I’m not sure what would have happened if we experienced any difficulties. Not enough cutlery/ crockery in the kitchenette, given the number of people the room accommodates.

It’s a new hotel, smart and functional for a 2 night stay with friends. The room was clean and spacious with a very large bed, so not much room to open a suitcase. It was great to have a washing machine in the room, but I didn’t find the detergent until the day after I’d done the wash! Good drying facilities in the bathroom. No tea or coffee but there was a kettle and cups, plus microwave. We reserved a parking spot right outside for ¥1100/day. Very helpful staff.

No instructions in English so I missed a few things.

The bunk room was great for a family of 4 and more spacious than other Japanese hotels we’ve stayed at. The kitchenette and washing machine and drying closet were a welcome bonus too. Self changing towels on each floor also a plus.

The location is not very close to station and the room was showing some signs of wear and tear. Also no staff to help book a taxi or give recommendations.

Self contained (has a small kitchen with good basic equipment and warding machine), clean and walkable to transport and main shopping street. The property has an easy late check in process for guests arriving after 9pm and luggage storage lockers. It appears to be staffed between 3-9pm only but that was not a problem at all. Staff were all very kind and helpful when we met them. Parking is available although we didn’t need to use it. Beds were comfortable.

I am extremely proud of my decision to book a stay at the Fav Hotel in Takamatsu. It seems that family-friendly boutique hotels with four or more beds are a growing trend in Japan, and this hotel perfectly embodies that concept. Most of these hotels are either newly built or renovated from existing buildings, resulting in a fresh and modern atmosphere. Everything feels almost brand new. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the attention to detail. A traffic cone with my name attached indicated my designated parking space for the day, which added a personalised touch to my experience. The check-in process was efficient, thanks to the use of automatic check-in machines, and the keyless entry system was a convenient feature. One aspect that stood out for my family and me was the fully equipped kitchen. It allowed us to fulfill all our cooking needs, making our stay even more convenient. Additionally, having a washing machine and bathroom dryer in the room was a game-changer. We could easily restore our clothes to a perfect condition, ensuring we always looked our best throughout our trip. The spacious room size and thoughtful amenities added an extra layer of satisfaction, making it a wonderful environment for bonding with family. Another advantage of having a kitchen was the opportunity to do some shopping at the local supermarket. We could target ingredients that we had been craving or had not fully enjoyed in restaurants due to portion sizes. This added a delightful culinary aspect to our stay, and we could fully customise our meals to our preferences. Overall, I highly recommend the Fav Hotel in Takamatsu for any family. Personally, I am already looking forward to staying at any of the ten Fav Hotels under the same badge in the near future. The combination of family-friendly accommodations, well-equipped rooms, and the option to enjoy home-cooked meals make it an excellent choice for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

A lovely hotel in a quiet residential area situated roughly halfway between Takamatsu city centre & Ritsurin garden. The staff at the time of our check in had limited english but made up for it with friendliness & an infectious enthusiasm. Our room was very clean and large, the beds were big & comfortable & the bunk bed area was well received. Our room had a kitchenette with a small fridge-freezer & the bathroom had a new washing machine.
