Fantastic location, a few minutes walk from the train station and then can walk to the main pier. Quiet and cosy, good facilities and had a fun quirky decoration going on. Friendly staff if you do catch him on site but tend to be away.
Not sure if the actual front door was locked at all? But door seemed to be left open without anyone in, there are small lockers available if that eases your mind and luggage can be stored outside of check-ins, it’s flexible. Just remember to take everything with you ! (Otherwise you have to make unnecessary trips back like I did… the spoon key is quite easy to misplace in a bag)

The location is super convenient (very close to the station and bus terminal). The room and bed were nice and clean. It was just enough for me as I slept for a few hours and I had to leave the next morning early. They also have arrangements to keep the luggage after check-out and then return to take that with you, which I did. I was a bit relaxed this is why because I travel solo and generally wake up early in the morning, dragging the luggage to the nearest train station or terminal inside the lockers. So, this time I could skip all of these and with a lock and key system roamed around just early enough to get the luggage back and head back to the station. I appreciate this. The person in the reception can speak decent understandable English and is very helpful.
Not on the facility, but the person next to me was very NOISY and SMELLY. The lack of hygiene among fellow travelers is not something I have encountered much during my entire stay in Japan so it was very annoying. Also, someone turned the AC according to their own preferred temperature in the middle of the night????????????????? They set the temperature so low that you could freeze; it was very selfish and as I have health issues, I had the worst kind of sleep that night. (well, I barely slept, it was SO COLD) I cannot blame this on the facility, it is literally the fault of a single individual and I hope people can be more understanding in these social settings. Very unpleasant LMAO.

Super close to Takamatsu station where I had to catch a 530am bus to the ferry, amiable English speaking front desk guy, common room with free tea and a small selection of classic manga, quiet place. I saw three guests during the stay and said hello, but as I had a private room, did not have to interact with them as they were in the dorm room. The room itself is an ok size, it reminds me of staying in a ryokan (which I believe it used to be) but they have changed it around a bit. I also liked the curious architecture of the staircase, which would be challenging for anyone with luggage (I only have a backpack, I am a minimalist) or who was fat (I am happily and healthily under the Japanese average weight)
The place could have done with a deep clean at least once a year, but for the price and facilities and amenities, I don’t mind in the least.

Only stayed one night, but it’s definitely a good place as a stop over point before travelling into Shikoku. Comfy bed, easy check in and check out, was able to leave my bags there for a bit after check out. Excellent location right near the station and lots of udon restaurants nearby.
Wouldn’t stay here longer than one night. The shared space isn’t that nice, and there’s barely any room for your luggage in the dorm rooms.

Great location just next to the railway station and ferry port! Staff were incredible nice and helpful. Facilities were good. We were able to rent bikes for 500 yen / 24h. Room was simple with just a table and futons. Futons were really comfortable and soft.
Kitchen doesn't have a stove. Otherwise it had everything we needed. House is old-ish so don't expect everything to be super clean and tidy.

Location location location! It's right next to takamatsu station, the owner keeps it clean and for a private room it's really a bargain price if you get it on a deal(which it seems to often be)
Honestly, this is probably one of the least 'nice' looking hostels I've stayed at in Japan. The building is quite old and it's mostly cement flooring. If this kinda thing bothers you then I don't really recommend it, but! It's honestly kept really clean and everything else is great so as long as you can get over that your good

Host was very nice and helpful. And despite outward cosmetic look of the place, the room itself had all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay and restful night. Location is also conveniently within a 2-minute walking distance from Takamatsu station.
The outside of the BNB looks completely unappealing, and it initially made me wonder if I wasn't in the wrong place. No elevator to the rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor, and the stairs are very narrow. And lastly, working the shower takes some getting used to, since the hot & cold water are handled by two separate valves.

Owner understand what traveler who choose hostel needs: - you can use common space before and after check in/out - no charge for leaving luggage before and after check in/out -sink, mirror and hairdryer in the corridor so you don’t have to wait for someone to leave bathroom - women dormitory has toilet, shower, sink, extra mirror and hairdryer in the room. so it’s extra apart from the ones in corridor for everybody to use - because there’s not enough space in the room for lockers so inside your “bed space” (like capsule) there’s small one with the key to leave valuables. Plus a shelf with basket - I’ve left there my handbag for a night

The hostel is only three minutes away from the station. Since we didn't quite make it to the check in time, the owner was kind enough to wait for us. We had a double room. It was clean and looked like the pictures.
I would have liked it better if the bed had a full comforter cover. So it was only a sheet, what you put in between.

The hostel is only a walking distance from both Takamatsu Station and the ferry port, which means EXCELLENT location. The staff was kind and accomodating too. I came in before the check-in time, but he let me in earlier! The hostel is very homey too, I like it!
The toilet was not as clean as I expected so I cleaned for a bit :) But aside that, I think everything is okay!
