Overall the hotel is situated in a nice location, perfect to explore the western part of the island. The facilities are well-maintained and the staff is very nice and helpful. The room was nice and spacious, cleaning was done daily.

Breakfast was the same every morning, so some changes here and there would be nice. Generally, the food was not up to our expectations. Too few vegetables and fruit, salads seemed like a weird mix of leftovers, I think simple leafy vegetable salads would do much better. Frequently the meals lacked seasoning.

Food in the resturant was in overal good but the same very day. Not great choice and got a bit boring at the end of 7 day stay.

Everything is perfect. Location, staff, food, pools, beach, live music (samba) evenings, surroundings, nature..second year in a row now in Calheta. Definitely coming back again

Only two minor things. If in the room description says minibar, there should be a minibar, not the empty fridge. Full minibar with variety of drinks and snacks with a pricelist. That's definitely missing. And if it says that room is equipped with coffee/tea maker, only the coffee/tea maker (machine) is not enough. There should be a plate with a coffee/tea/sugar. A minimum.

A well maintained and clean hotel with modern rooms that have a spacious bathroom. All the staff members are very friendly. We visited in June and there was more than enough seating area in the restaurant and at the pool at that time. The pool area is especially nice and the music that is being played isn't too loud. The food wasn't spectacular but good none the less. You have immediate access to the beach and the surrounding area is very beautiful. There is also a grocery store and a pharmacy right across the street.

Guests who stay for one week are given the opportunity to dine à la carte twice during their stay. We made a reservation for two evenings in the à la carte restaurant (which is more of a beach bar next to the hotel). After going the first time, we cancelled the second reservation and just went to eat in the main restaurant. Food at the à la carte was mediocre, me and my partner both ordered the same starter and the waiter ended up giving one of the starters to another table, so we ended up with only one starter for the two of us. Drinks options are also more limited at the à la carte than at the main restaurant.

Small gym and indoor pool, no tennis courts; 2. pool labeling on food for vegetarians; 3. awful instant coffee from machines except for the indoor bar that opened at 6 pm; 4. difficult parking in the area and nothing to do in the vicinity of the hotel; 5. we saw large cockroaches running around; 6. steam room and sauna were switched on at random hours; 7. poor variety of options for breakfast; 8. all sitting areas around the pool and outdoor bar were available for smokers while tables for non-smokers were at the far end (really, should be the opposite in the EU); 9. live music in the evenings were of poor quality, but the magic show and Madeiran dances were excellent.

Really nice staff, they are ready to help you, enough space around the pool. You can easily walk to the beach, the beach is really nice. The location is pretty quite and I prefer it! About food- I have to say - Madeira evening - that was the best food. Also + they try to change the food little bit everyday.

We have visited this hotel in the main season, that’s why I think the price for it is really high and especially I would expect little bit more in 4* hotel. But still I would come back.

First of all, the management pays attention to reviews and I found everyone very responsive and helpful! Xé was fantastic and team members were great! We found the food at the buffet fresh and varied, with lots of vegetables for those not wanting to eat much meat, though there were several meat and fish options. Fish was often very tasty, great desserts, nice breakfast options and this is why I feel the value for the money was very good, also because spa was included :-)

Nothing! Just know that the location requires some taxis or car rental, and some roads on the island are a bit narrow, especially more mountainous ones.

The breakfasts in the A La Carte restaurant were excellent given my mobility issues. The food and drinks were good. The quality of the evening entertainment was good-it included a brilliant magic show and several dance demonstrations and shows.

There was little to dislike. The outdoor pool could have been warmer and on days where it was cold the aqua classes held inside. We were sorry that the menu in the A La Carte dinning option had changed and was not to our taste.

For sure it is The best location in Madeira with exceptional service, friendly staff, very comfy beds, wonderful sand beach and super varieties offered for All inclusive - both for food and drinks. We were really impressed. Best of recommendations.

Madeira is a fish country, so please do not be surprised that all food is super perfect in the hotel except meat. Also there is no body lotion & hair conditioner available in the bathroom, so better take it from home
