the location is very conveniently situated, near the centre, it’s about a 10 min walk to 2 different metro stations and a 15-20 min walk to the centre. the rooms looked better than in photos. the ceiling is tall enough so you don’t feel suffocated and the view is very nice. the bathroom is also spacious, it looked smaller in the picture but it’s actually great. we had both a toilet and bidet and bathtub. the beds were comfortable, water pressure was very good, we had hot water, towels were clean and the AC worked well. it’s true that at night it can get a bit noisy outside due to the fact that there are plenty of bars and restaurants on the ground floor, but we slept with closed windows and the noise didn’t bother us anymore. the staff is very nice, super helpful. it’s a great thing that they have 24h reception, you can come in late at night and someone will always be there to open the hotel door. didn’t need too much assistance, as we only stayed in the hotel during the night to sleep.

it would’ve been convenient to have plugs near the beds. we only had them across the beds. also, we had a light switch right on the bed frame near the pillow, if you hit it by accident with your head or hand, it would cause the whole room to light up. we also had no slippers and the breakfast room was very cold in the morning due to the AC. the wifi didn’t have the best connection, we stayed at the 4th floor, for reference. we’ve had more noise in the morning (9 am) from other visitors rather than at night from the bars. so if you’re someone that wakes up late, this might happen. bring earplugs.

It has a traditional, Spanish feel, staff was very accommodating and patient, and is centrally located. perfect for us.

I was enjoying breakfast with my husband in the breakfast room and a woman sat down and had a full on conversation on her speakerphone at a table nearby. It was loud and, in my mind, very disrespectful. and I always wonder if the person on the other end of the phone knows that everybody in the breakfast room can hear what she saying. 😩 Somehow I wanted to person attending the breakfast room to ask her to turn her phone off, but that did not happen. I know this is a touchy subject, but it’s unpleasant for guests who are trying to read the newspaper and enjoy their breakfast.

Location was fantastic. 1 mile from the museums in one direction and 1 mile from Plaza Mayor and the palace. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Bathroom and water pressure were great although tub felt slippery.

If you have mobility issues the bathtub was very high and a little difficultto get into and felt very slippery. The water pressure was fantastic but with no wall, we kept praying yhe whole room with water.

Fantastic location right in centre and a short easy walk to Plaza Mayor and Mercado San Miguel on one side and Prado and Retiro etc on the other. Room was spacious and balcony doors opened to provide light and fresh air Breakfast included in price was excellent though very busy! Great cafes, restaurants and stand up tapas bars all very close.

location of the Hotel was fantastic was amazing. be warned, it is close to lively nightlife area. For us, that is exactly what we was after, and was happy to be in the thick of it. However, some might wish to note, this is NOT a quiet part of the city!

A/C / heating in the room didn’t seem to be working. Stayed in January, so, just regulated with the window.

Perfect location ! The staff is very friendly as well. Furthermore in the room you have a safe to keep personal belonging.

Beds are located right next to the door which we were bothered by some loud neighbors. Also we were experiencing random static electricity or something similar to it but overall ok.

Hotel is located a few minutes walk from Sol Station. It is surrounded by many bars and restaurants, but the rooms are set far enough back with adequate sound proofing that you are not bothered by noise. Breakfast is set in the basement restaurant which is very cozy and comfortable, it is self service juice/coffee, pastries, fruit, toast, eggs, bacon, sausages. Had 2nd/3rd helping and staff said nothing, so guessing that was normal. Rooms are large, clean and to a very good standard. My room (207) led onto a very large shared (3 other rooms) balcony that may have been used for functions once, but was clear during my stay. Overall very good stay and would go again,

only negatives is that the room only had the one spare PowerPoint to allow charging of phones etc.

Location was superb right at the centre of the city.

The fact that booking.com used an incorrect address for the property. We spent 30 minutes searching for the address only to call the hotel and find the correct address should be 4, Calle Victoria!!

The hotel has great location in the Madrid center close to all attractions. We could reach to all attractions by 5-15 minutes of walk without using any transport. We received relatively big room with 4 comfortable beds. The cleaning service was perfect. Check in and check out was very quick and without any additional surprises and payments.

The breakfast was good but we received exactly the same meals each day without any diversity.

Fabulous central location. Hotel very clean. Staff very helpful. Possibly a little noisy - bars and restaurants in the street directly below. We quite liked that - we had a balcony and it added some atmosphere - but some might find the noise intrusive.
