The location was fantastic. It was nice being in the North of the island. The rooms were lovely and spacious, with amazing views from the balcony. The swimming pool was amazing with different levels of depth going round. The beach is so close and beautiful views. The local night market in Batu Ferringhi is just a short walk from the hotel. It’s on every night from 7pm til Midnight. Best time to get a deal is during the week as it’s quieter whereas the weekend gets very busy and prices for the same item shoot up!

The buffet breakfast had Western and Asian offerings, but I felt it was a little limited and quite expensive. We chose to eat out instead, as outside the hotel were so many places to eat, with amazing food. at a fraction of the price. When residents had finished swimming they tend to just walk through the hotel soaking wet, leaving slippery floors and wet lifts. We could have fallen several times. There was signage saying not to do this but it was blatantly ignored.

The hotel is very good for stay in Penang as i stayed there for 3 nights 1- room is spacious with a great view and comfortable beds - it is a bit outdated but nothing to really complain about 2- the beach area is great and very near to the hotel and pools are big and clean with depth that suits all needs 3- some great activities and sightseeing nearby ( Escape water park , species park , butterfly park ) 4- the night market is a good for a night walk with several shops and restaurants 5- area is very secure and safe Note - Penang is a very big island so the hotel and the beach considered away from other attractions like penang hill and George town but transportation is convenient and easy using grab or public transpiration

Room and bathroom are a bit outdated but clean and do the needful

The first room allocated to us smelled musty, so we were moved to another room which was good. The rooms are clean and very spacious with nice views from the balcony. All basic bathroom amenities are supplied, as well as an effective aircon, electronic safe, iron & ironing board, and even disposable slippers. The shower is hot with decent pressure. The pool is lovely & clean with towel service provided and has a nice garden relaxation area surrounding it. The Front Office staff were helpful in printing some documents we needed for our next destination. Overall, the hotel is comfortable and provides good value for money compared to the other beachfront hotels in the area.

The rooms are well furnished but sparsely decorated which gives it a somewhat cold & clinical feel. The carpets in the passages leading to the rooms are soiled in places, while the rooms have no carpets or mats. The grout in the bathroom needs to be redone as it has blackened in places. The hotel is located at the far end of Batu Ferringi so you need to walk about 10 min in the heat to get to the central area, Starbucks, the night market, etc. The beach (in all of Batu Ferringi) are no longer safe to swim since deadly Jelly fish were discovered in the water recently.

from the time of walk in to check in- efficient access card no problem when enter room linen is clean

the lift - wooden need to repaint or do something with it. the tiles, broken the toilet seat stand underneath is not clean properly. not really a hidden area. could have use a chemical to remove the stain.

I like the cleaness (room, pool and garden) which was a bit uncertain for me at stage of reservation. It is always more efficeint to see it on site although other people mentioned it within booking.com. La proprete etait bien justifiee (chambre, picine et jardin) pour nous une fois sur place. Je n'etait pas sure lors de reservation au debut.

I agree now with many guests (who stayed with this beach resort) that the beach is nice but the seawater here looks not transparent enough. I did try to understand why (via previous comments), uncessufully. With our stay for 5 nights, I understand that mud on the seabed may be the key cause for the seawater looks unclear especially during the strong wind raining and wave.

We like the location of the Bayview. The lobby is nice and I love their lift. It is really unique! the room is clean and their stuff are very friendly.

The tap of the bathroom waterpipe is locate at a weird position, which is behind the toilet bowl. When it's hard to on off, we will easily split the water everywhere in the toilet. Next will be their breakfast. The taste is so-so especially the cake is really not tasty..

- My 2yo kid enjoyed the mini water park + dry playground - refurbished during MCO with more rooms but management maintained the classic layout - functioning capsule lifts of which my kid enjoyed too - room is spacious and clean, complimentary mineral water and coffee are provided

- worn off furnitures at the lobby - lounge section (not so much utilisation) should be converted to other meaningful section - coarse sand at their private beach compared to neighbouring sand - tiny sloop down to the beach instead of gradual decent as compared to neighbouring beach - crows rummaged our food put at the bench @ water park for kids

Even though it was partial sea view room, but the view was great and a strategic location to access to amenities nearby such as food stalls and petrol station.(Exception if you intends to travel down to Georgetown.) Friendly staff and smooth check in and check out procedures.

Having issues connecting to the Hotel's WiFi and even though was connected, but long buffering time. Please improve your WiFi connectivity. Likewise the cleanliness of the restaurant which held the morning buffet session was only acceptable and could observed that crows or birds was flying around which affect the overall eating experience. Please takes initiative to resolve these, or else it does not worth the price to spend nearly RM50 with the dining area having hygiene issues and limited food choice.

The room was quite spacious but felt a bit dated. Can recommend the pool and beach where they offered some affordable street vendor food (Might not be available every day). You also got access to restaurants, cheap and reliable laundry service and the night market.

Visiting the city takes some time because the hotel is behind penang hill.

The room was spacious and cleaned properly every day. It was quite easy to relax while in the room. My view was also good. I am not a big fan of buffets, but to be honest, I thought the buffet was very good with a variety of dishes to choose from along with fresh fruit. The staff was quick to clean the tables and very accommodating to boot. The hotel also catered the conference with some tasty snacks--not just your standard cookies and crackers but with a nice variety of hearty foods. The restaurant across the street is also good (Enca), and there are a couple of convenience stores nearby (2-3 minutes walk).

As for the overall facilities, the hotel is a bit old, but they I think they are trying to improve the facilities little-by-little. I was staying at the Bayview for a conference, so we were using the first floor and the mezzanine extensively. The toilets/plumbing seemed to be problematic. I guess it was worse for the ladies, especially in the lobby (adjacent to the Grand Ballroom), but even the men's room often had water on the floor requiring blowers to dry the water. Other bathrooms were a bit better, but they should get that problem ironed out.
