Very good location, friendly and helpful staff and overall excellent customer service.

The bedsheets are a little bit musty. Maybe housekeeping can double-check. Breakfast buffets were good, but have a weird placement of foods and drinks, to be honest. We didn't even know there's more food at the back because we honestly thought that's the kitchen and was firstly disappointed with the selection of foods we first saw. You might want to reconsider the food placement or maybe put a sign that there's more food at the back.

Great facility and location. Wonderful staff. Comfortable room. Front desk staff especially helpful and Maitre'd in dining room (Nov. 15th) was great. Seafood buffet is amazing!! A superb meal at that price.

Appreciate that some staff are in training but, maybe assess their training more regularly..... didn't appreciate being asked to review their performance as we BARELY had sat down. That can/should be gone at end of meal. Also, back to training, please remind staff to give patrons a moment to look at menu before deciding -- we felt a bit pressured(?) to decide the MOMENT menu placed in front of us. That said, staff ARE lovely and generous and pleasant; just need a bit of fine-tuning as they're learning. A small issue with hospitality on our last day/night -- our room wasn't refreshed. Staff delivered fresh towels: placed them on unmade bed, didn't take used towels or refresh the room in any other way at all. Not sure why. Curtains had come off track in one corner (just an irritant).

Also, Hompton By The Beach Penang in Malaysia was a delightful experience, and I am thrilled to share my extremely positive review of this hotel. Firstly, the hotel's location is exceptional, nestled on the picturesque Penang Island. It's ranked impressively among 215+ hotels on the island, signifying its prominence and appeal. In my honest opinion, this should be ranked number #1! What truly stands out is the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction. The warmth and efficiency of the staff, combined with their attention to detail, make for an unforgettable stay. From the moment of arrival, guests are greeted with courteous service, highlighting their focus on personalized care and comfort.

Unpleasant dinner experience at Elementos. The staffs were seems like new and not familiar with the ordering process. We were not provided with proper menu and order information. Lastly, it was really weird that the staff always forget to serve the food without cutlery.

Smart hotel, with large suite and beautiful views in our case certainly. Located between central George Town and Batu Ferengghi, but either accessed by bus or the ever reliable, quick and cheap Grab taxis. Brilliant Lotus mall and supermarket a ten minute walk away - really good street food market hall directly opposite.

A little more tired in decor and appearance from photos - but nevertheless, still WOW for the price. Wasn't impressed at all with the buffet for breakfast - so only had first morning. Beach not really decent - though Batu Ferengghi only a 15 minute bus ride away - bus stops outside hotel for both directions.

Its by the beach. The hotel deck on the 1st floor where one can have a drink or meet friends. The room is big & comfortable. The floor has no carpet which I thought is good idea for a hotel located by the beach. Checking in & out was quick & easy.

The shower water pressure is a bit low. It is such luxury to have shower with strong water pressure especially in Msia where the weather is hot. The room has no carpet which is fine. But perhaps, a small, easy to maintain rug can be added to make the room looks nicer & the floor not totally bare.

Wonderful views of the city and sea, with easy access to local food street restaurants and a scenic beachside walk. The staff was very accommodating, even allowing us to check in an hour early. The room was clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. While it’s a bit pricier than other hotels in Penang, it’s definitely worth the cost.

There were no beach beds available along the seaside, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the smell in the lobby and near the elevators wasn’t pleasant, as it was mixed with food aromas from the restaurant.

Nice view: really by the sea. Got a good night sleep. Not many satellite TV channels but has in-room movies for streaming on gadgets which is redeeming.

Breakfast was MYR48/adult and 38 for senior, but not very wide spread, just for the convenience sake. Breakfast staff were not informative to assist. For ex: I asked if that bottle's light soy sauce, the staff said yes but it's actually sesame oil. A Chinese guest asked for chopsticks but he gave tongs instead. They were all polite though. Location wise ...quite far from Georgetown area. Appreciate the body lotion in the bathroom, but I could use a handwash or soap.

Staff are well trained, friendly, considerate. E.g. my room key card did not work, and the person came up with me to the room just to ensure it works or in case I may have a problem. Housekeeping person was very considerate. I saw him twice. He was friendly, greeted me every time. Once I asked extra, then, he made sure that is always met every day. I stayed at the hotel 3+4 nights altogether. The staff, from bars to reception to housekeeping made me to extend my stay for another 4 days. I felt they tried to make my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as much as possible.

Nothing in particular. I know a beach at the hotel is small and not pristine but I knew it upfront nor have lots of tourists like Batu Ferringi. I knew it upfront, and that was the reason I chose this hotel. There were people who walks on the beat to pick up plastic bottles and debris (I don't think people throw things on the beat but they drifted to this beach). I thought that was nice. It is just a thought but the hotel can promote more about keeping environment clean. They can put posters, can provide plastic bags to collect debris on the beach.
