Our 12th-floor stay offered serene ocean views from a distance, creating a peaceful atmosphere despite the hotel not being beachfront. The room was cozy with standard amenities, though the bathtub needed better cleaning. Internet was occasionally slow, but staff were quick to resolve issues, like replacing a faulty fridge. Check-in was smooth, and the friendly staff added to the experience. The hotel features two great restaurants, a coffee shop, and a breakfast buffet with mostly Asian dishes. The infinity pool, children’s pool, and 5th-floor lounge were standout highlights. Watching New Year’s fireworks from our window was a memorable touch. With a few improvements, this hotel could offer even more but already provides a relaxing stay with scenic views.

Located near the port, this is a perfect spot for exploring KK and Sabah! We stayed on the 11th floor (sea view) and the rooms were amazing, huge, very well equipped with comfy beds, well equipped WC and an awesome bathtub (kind of reminded me of a honeymoon suite) the window facing the ocean was huge (glass wall), it was wonderful seeing the sunset in bed!. Breakfast was delicious with many choices between western and malay foods. The swimming pool was small, but excellent for a afternoon refreshing swim. Very good service with helpful staff. Loved it!

Everything close to perfection really... Can't remember a bad thing to be honest.

Location. View from my deluxe room. It had a mini fridge (which didn't work so it had to be replaced) all toiletries, hairdryer, iron, well equipped gym, breakfast was excellent with alot of choice. I had 1 meal there and it was excellent.

Fridge not working when I checked into room. Stingy with toilet paper had to call housekeeping to bring more (they only bought me 1 roll). Instructions for safe wrong/not clear. Had to call maintenance to look at safe. Finally got it working. Pool only had 2 sun lounges so nowhere to lie except on edge of pool. For a 5star hotel it is unacceptable that they don't check fridge and have clearer/correct instructions on safe. Cleaning staff hopeless, they only made my bed, didn't empty rubbish bins, didn't wash coffee cups, didn't replace toilet paper. Unacceptable for category of hotel

I recently stayed at Horizon Hotel for 5 days and 4 nights, and I can confidently say it was an amazing experience! The rate for the stay was very reasonable, especially considering the excellent quality and service provided. The hotel room was spacious, impeccably clean, and well-maintained throughout my visit. I appreciated the comfortable bed, modern amenities, and the thoughtful attention to detail that made my stay relaxing and enjoyable. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always greeting with a warm smile and ready to assist with any request. Their hospitality truly elevated the overall experience. Another highlight is the hotel’s prime location. It is conveniently situated within walking distance of several key attractions, restaurants, and shops, making it easy to explore the area without needing to rely on transportation. Overall, Horizon Hotel exceeded my expectations in every aspect. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and affordable stay in the city. The sea view was so good, interior of the room was also great. Modern and cozy. It was better than the picture that website gives. Also they have JACUZZI HINOKI! We used it every night, after finishing the schedule for the day. I think horizon hotel should update the picture of the rooms. I didn't expect the room to be THIS nice. Location is perfect, staff are also friendly. The breakfast soup was a bit...😅, but the fried rice was excellent. We went every day, no matter how tired we were, to have fried rice for breakfast. Gym and pool are also good. There is also a separate shallow pool for children.

I am not used to air conditioning and got a sore throat and a bit of a cold as a result. (The pharmacist in the pharmacy conveniently located a stone's throw from the hotel, was most helpful, so recovered swiftly!) You needed to put on the air-con in your room to have lights after dark and electricity for your laptop. This was unexpected. I was helped by room service who kindly showed me where to turn down the ventilator to the lowest point on the air-con panel, which helped a lot! Other guests might not share my problem and be delighted with the air-con!

The Horizon Hotel is a very good choice for a few days in KK. The location is excellent between all the downtown areas, we walked to most places we wanted to go. Nearby are plenty of shops and mini markets. So you have everything you need just outside the door. Our family room was nice and spacious and we enjoyed using the pool after a hot day outside. Breakfast was great with a lot of choices. Sometimes it got a bit busy depending on the time of the morning. I would stay here again anytime. Great value for money.

Pool could remain open a bit later

Great location just a block away from the night market and the weekend market. Next to an overhead bridge that crosses to shops. Breakfast was very good, nice was nice. Room has very comfortable bed and an amazing view of the city and sea

The Japanese inspired furnishing with the scary wooden round tub and the floor seating arrangement. We were not informed and would not have accepted the room if we have known. Coffee at breakfast was a disappointment, just one coffee machine with one type of coffee. Better to have staff serve fresh brewed black coffee.

Location! Location! Location! I was glad they started back again the buffet breakfast...though not much choices but better then the set breakfast. The room is big and very comfortable. Thought there was that old musky smell but it's worth it. Pool was nice, gym equipment very limited but if you alone, you'll get a full workout. Overall, it was a nice staycation.

Ants! Its everywhere. Bathtub draining extremely slow. No secondary lock in our room. The toilet mirror light(???),the wires was exposed. Maintenance need to do more since it's an old hotel. Don't replace things with cheap stuff.(Our pipe knob was from Mr.DIY.lol)

Good location, nice hotel, good view from upper floors and pool terrace. Shower good and nice bathtub also available. Good service and friendly staff in the hotel.

Finishings in the hotel started to be a bit warn, especially wooden features and the pool area also could do with some sprucing up. Breakfast was quite Asia oriented, with curry and soup. Coffee was not good, only machine coffee.
