Great space for digital nomads, there is a great space for them to work if needed (do try the slide at least once!). Staff are very friendly and approachable. You can communicate with them via WhatsApp if there is any issues. They were able to help me book a couple of tours whilst I was there. I enjoyed the place so much, I came back and stayed 2nd time after my trip in Sandakan. Great location for flagging a public bus to go Mount Kinabalu.

A little far from the Jetty, but I just took an uber to get there to try and be as early as possible. Some of the neighbouring dormitory were very noisy. Also, not everyone adhere to leaving their shoes outside, I was in the mix dorm and the room would smell like feet at the end of the day.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. The rooms were spotlessly clean, no stains on sheets/towels or anything like that and the beds are really comfy. The shower also had hot water regardless how long you were in there with good water pressure. There are water refills on each floor with both cold and hot water which is super handy. The downstairs restaurant has really good coffee. We stayed here a couple of times during our trip and would return.

Nothing to mark them down for but the rooms look bigger than they are practically, we were backpacking and it was hard to get things out of our bags without the need to completely repack everything to be able to still access the bed/bathroom/sink etc because there wasn't really any storage space. For us, the desk was obsolete and we would have been better off with a shelving unit as we could use the public working space - this is personal preference. We found the twin room with no window during our second stay had more usable space than the double with window that we had the first time. I wouldn't say this is a reason to overlook this hotel though especially if you are only there for a couple of days.

Love the upbeat decor, ambience, bean bags self servicecoffee machine,, having washing machine and dryer a huge bonus after a week’s jungle trekking in mud. And enjoyed the signage too. Clean, orderly, minimalist. Comfortable. Breakfast was small portion, but totally delicious & a surprise, delightfully presented .

Breakfast time - very late. Esp if working or having to travel. Not available til 0830. And then a 15-20 min wait before food arrived. I was in an 8-female dorm room - but disappointed to be on my own. On floor below bar, so could hear some noise - though not excessive. Left luggage - I didn’t have any problems, however had a nervous week hoping my laptop & etc would still be there on my return in what appeared to be an unlocked accessible store room.

Location was good, near public transport buses to go Mount Kinabalu. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they provided helpful information when you check in and you can also contact them via WhatsApp if you need anything. Clean and comfy. In fact I went to Sandakan and came back to stay with them again. Nice big area for co-working or just hanging out with a kitchen, so I was able to buy fruits from the markets. Should try the slide at least once!

Neighbours or room mates can be a bit noisy. Also some people used the bathroom to wash off dirty clothes and shoes, so the bathroom isn't the cleanest. The place can be a bit far from the Jetty if you want to go snorkeling or island hoping.

Great location, very clean, helpful staff. I stayed for one month and had a really nice experience. There is a pantry area with a fridge and a microwave, free hot and cold water to refill your bottle. I would highly recommend it!

These are very small things but there are a lot of mosquitos in the co-working space which makes it a little bit uncomfortable. Also the coffee machine was ‘under maintenance’ for the whole month I was there. And it would be really nice to have somewhere to air-dry your clothes and diving equipment etc because not everything can go into the dryer in the laundry room.

I really love the totality of the design of the hotel, from the lobby, the common room (which is totally gorgeous and comfortable!), the stairs, down to the bedroom. Our room was not too big but it was spacious enough for two. The beds were comfortable. There's a laundry room in the hotel, but if for some reason it can't be used, a 24-hour self-service laundry is next to it. If we want to eat outside the hotel, there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The hotel is within walking distance to many places of interest.

Maybe it was a flaw in the design or in the execution, but the part of the bathroom where the toilet was, when water (from the shower) entered that part, it did not drain easily. So we had to withstand a mini flooding during our stay. Some parts of the bathroom door (the padding) also came off. Moreover, the corridor was too dark for me. Maybe increase the brightness of the lighting a bit?

The location is great. Its walking distance from night market and Jesselton Ferry point. The hotel has a groud floor restaurant which serves all kinds of food. We are vegetarians and they customised few dishes for us. The hotel also has a pantry so in case you want to prepare something or have tea or coffee you dont have to go to restuarant each time. The staf also helped us connect with different travel agents with whom we checked the prices and booked one we found was giving best rates. The room also has a bluetooth speaker, so u can connect it to your phone and listen to music ( Iloved this feauture, ofcourse at low volume)

Everything was great but room walls are lil thin so u can hear the sounds nearby. Its a problem if you are a light sleeper, else it doesnt matter

Very funky place. Great value for money. Nice restaurant that we ate in a lot. Rooftop bar (okay we didn't spend much time there!) Fantastic common room with WiFi and a pool table. An actual slide and a lovely, friendly cat. Kitchen area/fridge there. Clean rooms (not serviced but you can change the towels)

Less of an atmosphere or social vibe than we expected. Not really a socialising/ hostel buzz. Door banging was an issue. Lots of chairs etc stacked in a fire exit which is a hazard (we discovered this thanks to a 2am fire alarm). Wet room, no separate shower. Kitchen area coffee machine broken.

Pros: -Extremely comfortable beds with blackout curtains and individual plugs and light at each bed with an internationally compatible socket -informative staff -free street parking from 4pm-8am -walking distance to restaurants/pharmacy and street market -24h laundry right next door (8RM wash, 6RM dry as of Feb24) -functional aircon -upgraded room to 6 bed mixed dorm with windows! -free water refills -fast and reliable WiFi with areas set up for coworking -small kitchen and fridge

Shared bathroom was a bit...wet. Each shower had its own room; however, water often leaked out of the shower containment area and into the gangway where the sinks and walkway were. Caused a wet and mildew smell.

In many ways it was the best place we stayed during our travels in Malaysia - and we stayed in many different places from capsule hotels to resorts. The place seems to be quite new, it is very clean and the facilities are amazing. You can see that they thought about everything that might be useful for you or might make your stay more comfortable when they planned the place - and this is something that we did not experience many times in the country. A lot of small details that are very thoughtful. such as they give you a map about the city with cafés, restaurants, interesting places marked; there is a great and peaceful common area that is good for working and relaxing as well with bean bags, couches, desks, slightly separated areas, and a ton of power outlets; there is a common kitchen and laundry; there is a (very good!) restaurant and a bar; and they are ready to help you with organizing trips as well. The design of the whole place is also something to mention, vibrant colours and motives, great paintings, and again, the thoughtfulness: they used some ethnic patterns in the decoration, and there are some things they smartly reused. Great atmosphere, I can only reccoment this place!
