Breakfast was excellent and the food choices were good. The dining area for all meals are setup in a nice environment and everything is done really well. We were happy with the overall service and sitting by the pool listening to birds chirping area bonus!

There is nothing to dislike about the place except that the dining closes at 9.30pm and no more orders could be made to the room. Perhaps there should be a simple menu for supper or extend the hours till 12am.

when we returned from being outside my film camera was cracked (the lens) I think the cleaners might have dropped it when they were cleaning up the room :’) my mistake for leaving it out in the room but maybe next time let the customer know if there was a genuine mistake or damage made.

Quiet and peaceful environment except for the leaf blowers being used in the property between 08:00 & 09:00 daily. Resort offers complimentary bicycles to guests but were too small for tall guests!! Enjoyed the 3 pools and à la carte hearty breakfasts - real treats!! Room service was good and cuisine options were delicious. Wonderful vast network of paths for joggers, cyclists and walkers.

Arrived in a very hot villa not cooled by the air con & fan. Remote control for the 2 fans was missing and the TV remote did not function properly. When reported, staff responded promptly but unable to cool the villa properly so it took hours to reach a comfortable room temperature.

The moment we stepped into the property, we could feel the waves of serenity and peace enveloping us. I felt serious regret that I could not extend our stay. Highlights of the stay were the guided walk, the complimentary shoulder massage at check-in (I was sorry I didn't make time for a proper spa treatment session), the daily in-room afternoon tea, and the absolute BLISS of sitting on the balcony watching wildlife swoop/cavort around and catching up with my reading. It was like a balm to my soul. I look forward to returning.

A minor suggestion - to have proper mugs in the kitchenette instead of the small cups.

The calm and serene ambience where one can slow down the mad race of life and reflect upon what lies in true meaning of process of life and not the instantly gratifying race which humanity seems to be racing to. Waking up by chirping of birds without the annoying clock alarm and looking at the green waterbody right from the bed. It is simply heavenly abode. I drove from Singapore to reflect upon the personal and professional journey having achieved a long term milestone to celebrate with family and I couldn’t have choosen a better place. The staff were super friendly. The chef took additional effort to cook indian cuisine for us for two nights dinner at a very very reasonable price. The food was so tasty that I ended up overeating. We did Archery, Paddle Boating, Kayaking, Coconut Bowling etc. There was a very large Kids Room where kids indulge in playing for hours without getting bored. The Spa and Message were great and oh man the Kimchi soup in breakfast was a killer. I have never taken a soup thrice in life which I did having stayed in many 5 star hotel across the globe. Kudos to the chefs. This property is perfect place for a personal retreat to find and discover onself in lap of nature. Enjoy sunrise, take morning walk, cycle, eScooting , Bird watching or simply appreciating the beautiful lake view in middle of jungle. Cannot get better. Will highly recommend and I am sure coming back again at the next available opportunity!

Please replace TVs in Jala Villa with smart TV instead of LED TV. Kids cannot watch cartoon show and Channel 13 which apparently was supposed to be Cartoon channel never came.

The location was fine the food is good but if there more choices it will be nice. Overall its good

The carpet in my room was not that clean, i found few clipping nails everywhere maybe from previous guests. And the private swimming pool maybe can be a little bit mire clean and also the tiles at the bench it’s slippery. I almost fell down few times. Maybe can brush it clean. Its only slippery at some area. And sorry to say, we stayed in a room that got mice. Its scared us. And also we dont feel good about the room before we found the mice. Maybe if you see a family come with a baby with small kids, maybe can try to not give room with a bad vibes. 😅 luckily we get to change the room when we report about the mice.

The resort is great for a country getaway. It is spacious, well laid out and exceptionally well designed. Our lakeside villa was delightful with no bugs or mosquitos, but peaceful views across the water. The estate surroundings were enjoyable to walk around and investigate, but little else to do. Breakfast was a la carte selections.

Despite being a fantastic resort there were very few other guests and no entertainment. Also a lot of the food and drinks are too sweet and cater for the local palette rather than a no sugar diet.

This beautiful resort offers an idillic escape poised on the East Coast of Malaysia. The rooms are large, spacious, luxurious and clean. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The food options offer a good mix of local Malay and western. The hotel offers a number of activities such as cycling, archery, kayaking, paddle boat. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the resort

20 years of hard work and dedication have transformed an abandoned tin and sand mine into a sustainable luxury eco-resort. The location is lovely, with plenty of water, trees, and quiet, with no road noise or passing aircraft. The buildings are sympathetically blended into the landscape, the staff are professional yet friendly and efficient. There is all-day dining at the restaurant plus a well-equipped gym and a recreation zone with archery, kayaks and pedal boats. Nearby there is a bird sanctuary and a number of waterfalls to visit. It's worth getting up early to go bird spotting, there are over 100 species to be seen in the resort. There are a range of villa's available, check the web site for details, some of the larger ones have their own pool, great for families with kids. The food is well prepared and well-presented. Breakfast covers a range of cuisines from western to local favourites such as rendang. The fresh fruit is extensive and there is even a European-style deli selection. Ask Chef Wong for his "special" ice cream sundae! The all-day and evening menus are comprehensive with a range of dishes for everyone plus snacks and light bites.

I love the nature and privacy; this resort suits me. It reminds me of my last Bali trip a few years ago.  This resort is ideal for those who want to unwind and relax.
