I absolutely loved my stay at Rosa Malacca. What stood out the most was its industrial-themed design, which is both modern and inviting. The spaces are beautifully decorated with exposed concrete, metal structures, and wooden accents, creating an elegant yet cozy atmosphere. The attention to detail is remarkable, and it’s evident in every corner of the hotel. The ambiance is warm and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. This hotel is a fantastic choice for anyone who appreciates places with a strong identity and thoughtful design. Highly recommended!

I was quite sceptical of the hotel as I hv not heard abt it before and pretty judgemental when I drove near the vicinity when I saw it building was bit off, but I WAS WRONG. I fell in love with the hotel interior set up and the room was clean. Bed was great as it was super single size, hence it is spacious and comfortable. Food for breakfast was excellent, I really enjoyed the food and the ambiance, cozy and relaxing. Good for ppl who need privacy and to chill.

The location was not great as there are not many shop houses and tourist places. One has to hire a car or get a Grab to move around.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rosa hotel. So far it’s been the hotel we have stayed at in Malaysia. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The bed was so comfortable and the rooms were a great size! The Rosa is not in the centre of town, it’s a little bit further out, but we enjoyed that, as malacca central is very busy and quite noisy. We got a grab taxi into the centre of town every day and this was always quick and easy

The only negative bit of feedback we had was with regard to the drains. There was occasionally a bad smell coming from the drains. Our room was cleaned every day, and the bed was always maid when we arrived back which was lovely. We had dinner here one night and the food was really good. The breakfast buffet though, wasn’t the best selection for western breakfast

Staff at the entrance, check-in desk and cafe are all really friendly and helpful. Nice big room and comfortable bed. Location is good but stay closer to town if you prefer walking as pavements are non-existent / it feels a bit too quiet in the surrounding area when it’s dark (I also found it hard to get a Grab back from more central locations in the evening).

There’s an almost constant drain smell from the bathroom which pervades the room if you have the fan/AC on higher. The towels could do with completely replacing - they’re a bit tired/old.

The hotel probably has the most unique design in the whole of Malacca. Stylish contemporary setup, cozy, clean and Instagramable photos, perfect for those who like to inspire through visual perspective. The Deluxe King room was magnificent! Spacious, clean, and rustic, has all the necessary facilities like TV, Iron and ironing board, hairdryer, work station with plug points, single seater sofa, safe deposit box. Staffs were amazing, attentive and friendly, made the stay felt welcomed and appreciated. Food selection offered at Bica & Co was reasonable, tasty and there's a lot to pick and choose from their menu, including vegetarian selection. They have indoor and outdoor seating arrangement. The hotel is less than 10 minutes drive from famous places like Bukit Melaka, Jonker Street, Stadhuys, River Cruise etc, so staying here was ideal to move around. If you want privacy with classy NYC feel, this is the hotel to choose in Malacca.

The interior fittings are amazing. All very industrial with brick and steel and the bathrooms in the cafe have pipework as taps. The room was a great size and the bathroom was a good size too. The products were a bit limited - I always like to use hotel products when travelling but I don’t t think I have used combined shampoo/conditioner since the 80’s although the dispensers kept up the industrial theme. Great cafe with a good range of food and excellent coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful especially the doorman who gave up his umbrella when it was raining.

My husband last visited Malacca 30 years ago and was quite shocked at how it had changed from a Sleepy collonialish town to the sprawling metropolis it is today. Therefore location is an essential factor when staying there. A Grab can take 30 minutes to get to Jonker Street and if you are there on a weekend with the market in place you can wait up to 30 minutes to get a Grab. Traffic around Jonker street is always stationary whatever time of day. It is impossible to walk from the Rosa. Streets quickly run out of pavements and you are at risk of falling in to the open drains. There are no bars or restaurants nearby and the Rosa is dry.

Very pleased with our stay from check-in til the moment we checked-out. We were served by a front-of-house male staff name starting with R (so sorry I couldn't recall your name!) Check-in was smooth and fast, the cafe has a selection of delicious items - strongly recommend the fish & chips and nachos with minced beef salsa! Room is spacious with complete amenities. The same FOH staff saw my children on the 2nd day while we were having breakfast and he surprised them with character balloons! Definitely went out of his way to make customers happy. We chose Rosa Malacca because of the industrial,NY-vibes deco and were not disappointed with our stay!

Hotel is situated on a one-way street so we had to drive around just to reach the hotel.

The room was spacious and clean. Had a sofa to sit on besides the 2 double beds. The beds were firm and great pillows. I’m very particular about these. Dustbins were nicely positioned. Well equipped with kettle. The water pressure for bathing is great. Ample water. Breakfast was great with a good selection, so believe the hotel had taken note of previous feedback on poor selection. Nasi lemak, porridge, noodles, a western brunch, all available. They even had chia seeds, so very impressed. There’s also a welcome drink with blue pea flower and that was great for all minor ailments, like drinking too much coffee or not drinking enough water.

The hand soap and shampoo dispenser did not work properly. One requires extreme strength to press down and even so, hand soap and shampoo didn’t come out. Melaka has a Skytrek Adventure called Extreme Warrior and I think these dispensers require the Extreme warrior. In the end, we only used the shower gel for everything since that’s the only one that works. Doesn’t speak much of the state of my hair, as a result. So tempted to go Watson to buy my own toiletries. Unfortunately, this marred the overall great experience.
