Easy and smooth check in procedure. No deposit required. We checked in at 1.30PM. Car parking provided in Level 6. The location is next to Taiping Mall (but nothing interesting, got Zus Coffee, Guardian, Parkson etc). Direct access to the mall via lobby. In front of the mall, food court available, can try their yong tau foo. Good and delicious breakfast menu, nothing extraordinary but still acceptable, only add RM18 for one child extra for the breakfast. The view is nice facing Taiping town and the lake garden. Overall, it is a good stay for us since we checked in on Sunday, and only spent one night.

The pressure of the water pipe is too strong. Limited tv channel.

The location, the cleanliness, the breakfast and most of all the staffs. I would like to thank Mr. Sirus for his courtesy in approaching us explaining the parking matter and assisting my family to the hotel lobby with our luggage during heavy rain. His info helps us a lot. Also to Ms Aishah for her excellent service accomodating my family needs during checked-in. Not to forget thanks to Goure & Zarif for their patient and assistance in managing the large crowd ensuring our checked out time very smooth. Thumbs-up to all of you. Hope the hotel management could reward these staffs 'handsomely' 🫡. Will come again nx time.

Probably all the parking levels should installed additional lights as its quite dark upon our arriving and its raining too. the parking ticket machine was not functioning when we were exiting. Other than that..all good!.

Clean decent size room. We got the room facing Lake Garden which was wonderful. The hotel location is smack right in the middle of town, very convenient to move around.

The parking. To exit you have to go all the way down to the 1st floor to get the ticket stamp (bless your heart if you dont forget), then go back up to the 6th floor to drive out. If only there is a machine that can stamp the ticket and to use it you tap your room card, placed on the 6th floor.

My friend and I recently enjoyed a wonderful two-night stay at this fantastic hotel perfectly located in the very heart of Taiping town with easy access to anywhere and a handy internal door in the lobby connected to the next door mall. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and exceeded international expectations, with a magnificent view of the lake gardens and surrounding hills. The rainforest shower was a powerful, satisfying and refreshing start to the day. All the staff were unfailingly friendly, attentive and courteous - our particular thanks to the front-desk lady upon checkout who kindly provided us with a ticket print-out for our ongoing journey. We were particularly impressed with the food: both the breakfast buffet and lunch/dinner menu were outstanding in quality and variety. It was a great pleasure to meet the manager in the restaurant on our last morning and pass on our justified and well-deserved compliments. We will certainly be returning to this Novotel in the future.

It would be good if the hotel could offer a greater variety of channels on the in-room television, particularly news services like CNN or BBC24, as well as a movie channel. A functioning coffee machine would always be appreciated as well. These two relatively minor additions to the room would be more consistent with the expectations of international standards these days.

Location + Toiletries (I impressed with the fragrance shampoo, shower gel & hand wash). That's awesome. Room service is also perfect.

I don't like the drinking water which is refilled in the glass bottles. No doubt we go for Eco green but I might be afraid it is not hygiene to drink. It is because the cap is free to open anytime by the room service. So, we are not sure whether or not they refill with the reuse water which is balance in the room or they refill with the newly open clean water! 🤔 The management might need to take note of this feedback by the guest.

Breakfast is okay if its included in the package, but if you want/need to pay for the bfast, there's better options outside. Room is clean and spacious with great amenities. It's a shame the suite doesn't have Maxwell Hill's view, otherwise it would be a perfect 10. Lake garden is less than 10 min walk away. And we walked all the way up to the Maxwell Hill's 10km rest area. Only took 2.5 hrs to go up from the hotel lobby and 1.5 going down, and you could take a dip on Burmese pool on the way back. District mosque is 15 min walk away (8 if you use the back lane - Pasar Baru - behind the store lane - behind klinik ibu dan anak - behind church - bus station - mosque) Had dinner here (a la carte) and it was good.

Pools was closed most of the times because of the adverse weather conditions. Check your towels. Sometimes the towels looked like its not used by previous tenants, so the housekeeper didnt replaced them, but I found lipstick stained from one of them. This was the second occurrence on different time (previous one got dirt like someone tried to clean stains from their shoes). Dont be nasty, if you used the towel just spread them out to be replaced, dont put it back like you never used them. Perangai bifoti bila duduk hotel elok sangat.

The view over the lake, gardens and hills was lovely. Our room was very comfortable. Huge bed and bathroom. Big breakfast buffet with lots of choices especially for local dishes. Swimming pool area looked inviting but we didn't use it. Proximity to Mall. Walking distance or Grab to all main sights. Local people we met asked us where we were staying and when we said the Novotel, they all said it was the best place in town We were able to get an early check-in a free room upgrade. Thank you again!

The soundproofing from outside was great but less so from room to room (or we had noisy neighbours when they were awake). But it didn't detract from our stay.

The location is good the room is super... Comfortable for family with 2 small kids... Foods just around the corner by foot.

The parking lot was too small the boarder line just a few inch from the tyres. Not really convenient to load and unload. Easyly can damage next cars if you not carefull enough. The water boiler still have left over water and not dried i have to clean it myself. Pillow case have some stain and have asked housekeeping to change it. The bathroom have no floor mat to wipe your feet dry and we had to use small towel to wipe excess water from wet the room floor.

Kudos to the Management. Front Desk personnel were very helpful, polite and professional. Handled check in and check out efficiently.

Bath towel rack needs to be tightened up. Left side was loose. Housekeeping employee and floor supervisor should have noticed this and got Maintenance to rectify it before releasing the room as vacant clean as I noticed it when I got into the room upon check in. I thought it would be repaired the following day when Housekeeping was cleaning my room but they never did. I did the mentioned the issue to the Front Desk when I checked out. Minor issue but if the towel rack had fallen down; it would be embarrassing! The basin was partially clogged and I hope Maintenance could get it repaired. Minor issues... The Hotel is great but could be much better.

Hotel of recent construction where everything still looks new. Modern plumbing and all other appliances, efficient and friendly management. A strong point: its position in Taiping. Coexisting with the luxurious Taiping Mall, i.e. with numerous cafes, restaurants, shops (including a large supermarket), boutiques, various services. The site became a new center of social life in Taiping. Another strong point: an open-air swimming pool on the 7th floor. Still another: wifi strong and stable, band-width comfortable.

Found nothing which could still be improved.
