Beautiful and quiet surroundings Friendly and helpful staff Rich and delicious breakfasts Clean and cozy rooms Beautiful pools and relaxation areas We recently returned from an amazing stay at the Fiftyfour West Boutique Living hotel in Malta and we are still fondly reminiscing about the wonderful time we spent there. The hotel is located on the island of Gozo, in the picturesque village of Għarb, and offers an ideal setting for those seeking a peaceful and relaxing retreat. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the hotel's beautiful surroundings. Our room was located in the courtyard and offered us a view of the pools. The grounds were impeccably maintained and every detail was taken care of, contributing to the overall atmosphere of peace and tranquility. The hotel staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They were always happy to assist us with any questions we had and provided us with great tips on excursions and activities in the area. Their approach made us feel welcome and like part of the family. Breakfast at the hotel was rich and delicious. There was a wide variety of food to choose from, from fresh fruit and yogurt to pastries and cheeses to hot dishes like eggs and bacon. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted delicious. The rooms at the hotel were clean and cozy. Thanks to the quiet surroundings, we were able to fully relax and recharge our batteries here. Fiftyfour West Boutique Living is a great place for those seeking a peaceful and relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend this wonderful place to all our friends and family.

Absolutely stunning hotel with lots of character and a great breakfast included. The room was well sized with an excellent shower and views and sunsets from the terrace were incredible. Luciana and her team made us so welcome and run a fantastic establishment. The location was perfect - set away from the nearest town so surrounded by peaceful countryside, a short walk to Dwerja Bay for a swim, great hiking routes along the coastal path, 10min walk into San Lawrenz for a shop and restaurants (or 20mins into Gharb), and a bus from outside the hotel to Victoria for easy access to the capitol and other transport links. Would absolutely stay here again when returning to Gozo.

The look and feel of the hotel is stunning! With old stone design but a modern feel. The room I stayed in was very spacious and had lots of space for storage too (if needed!) I had the best view looking out on to the Mediterranean Sea, with the most beautiful sunsets each evening! Gharb is on the smaller island, which you can use public transport to get around. IF you want a relaxing time, away from too many tourist on the main Malta island, Victoria/Gozo island is the best option :) The two female staff that worked in the hotel (Milena and Anju) made my experience that much better, as a female solo traveller, it felt great to meet staff who were friendly and sociable! The two pools were amazing, i swam everyday! (Only when the sun is at its peak and shining on the pool). Breakfast was a 7/10 - This is due to the limited food items available, although both the ladies who worked there were always happy to make eggs on demand the way you like them :) Also, the balcony was another cool way to soak in some sun!! If you are going to and from Valetta, use the fast ferry!

The main reception area always had an unpleasant lingering smell which was due to the manager who owns a dog that stays there too, the smell would move into the rest of the living/casual space which was not very nice. Because there were only two staff members (Milena and Anju) running the entire hotel, it was difficult to get support in the evening if needed as I was unable to locate the manager most times. It would be nice to have the pools on west side to make the most of the sun but the pools were lovely regardless! Public transport was quite unreliable and buses only coming round once every hour, so be sure to check bus times or use taxi where possible (Bolt and e-Cabs were popular here)

Lovely staff, helpful, very accommodating and friendly they remembered your name. It was like being in a home away from home. Beautiful property, an old feel but with all modern necessities. Lovely pool. Nice breakfast.

Not a fault of the owners but it’s a tricky place to be without a car as they’re only a few walkable restaurants. To be fair a place nearer the city with plenty of options likely wouldn’t have been a stunning.

A stunning old farmhouse made into a beautiful Boutique hotel. Staff were very helpful and kind. Room was rustic with a charming balcony overlooking the 2 pools. Nice bright private bathroom. Choice of breakfast was fantastic (cereals, yoghurts, toast, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, sausages, baked beans, tea or coffee, fruit juices). We took our breakfast to our room and sat on the balcony with beautiful views of the countryside. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again. Took us about 10 mins to drive from the ferry.

If walking is your thing, this is the place to stay in Gozo. Located very close to the riffs where you can enjoy the sunsets. The room was big with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was our favorite, with lots of savery and sweet options. Luciana and the whole staff are extremelly friendly. The atmosfere of the place is super nice! Luciana also recommended to us some places to have dinner and to explore. Totally recommend to stay with them. We travelled by car. We met a family who travelled by taxi.

No option to have food beside breakfast.

This was my first visit to Gozo. The location on the edge of Gharb was perfect for me, as I wanted peace and quiet, to mix up with day trips and tour. There is an hourly bus that only goes in one direction, so you have to do a bit of planning ahead, but you can easily walk to Gharb and to San Lawrenz. There is also a lovely walk to the cliffs from here. The house itself is beautifully restored. I had booked the single bed room, the only of the 11 rooms without a balcony or terrace, but I did not miss it, because a) it was reflected in the price b) the view from my window was also very nice, with a glimpse of the sea and c) when I was at the B&B I spent most of my time in and by the pools. They are unheated, but for me they had the perfect temperature to swim in. Breakfast was very good (a wider variety of bread would have been nice), but there choices for a hot breakfast and plenty of different cheeses and cold cuts, jams, fruit and cake and at the weekend even home-made chocolate croissants. The whole place was exceptionally clean, the rooms, the common areas, the pool. Staff were all lovely and friendly and were also there to help with booking day trips, taxis etc. Highly recommended.

There is absolutely nothing I did not like.

The room was perfectly fine (cute, typical gozo style) and the pool area was very nice. I should've asked (I forgot ) why they chose to have 2 identical small pools side by side rather than 1 larger pool. Nevertheless, it was very relaxing. They did provide vegan options but please ensure you request vegan options in advance. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I felt the communal breakfast area and the reception / foyer needed updating in terms of decor. It doesn't feel like a boutique hotel in these areas, it just feels like a regular b&b (quite drab). So a bit of a makeover in the communal areas is needed.

It’s location - it is situated in a very quiet area in Gozo - no construction and no traffic. It’s nestled away in a quiet corner where you can truly relax. The rooms were spacious and with a relaxing setting. The pool area was very relaxing taking into consideration that it’s a B&B. It also offered a good choice of breakfast. The owners and staff were superb! Very accommodating and attention to detail is a key.
