Had a lovely 2 night stay at this boutique hotel. As a regular visitor to both Malta and Gozo, this is the first time I have stayed here. It exceeded my expectations given the cost for the two nights was very good value. As I had a car for my stay, moving around was fine but I also walked out and visited some of the nearby attractions. I'm unsure why some previous comments say that this is difficult when it really isn't. There is also a very good bus service on Gozo and the stop is right by the property. I hire a car as a preference for when I come over but you really don't need to. I found the breakfast to be good in the morning - there is plenty of choice and I particularly enjoyed the fresh bread/bagels and pastries each morning. The apple juice was absolutely lovely - best I've tasted on the island by far. A small plea would be for a coffee machine, I know these are costly but a lot of hotels have these now. The pod machine coffee and wasn't as enjoyable but this is just my personal preference. All In all, I would highly recommend staying here. The host, Sophie, was kind and welcoming. I hope to visit again in the future.

Limestone enclosed courtyard with two pools. Delightful breakfast with fresh eggs and sausages as well as charcuterie board and fruit. Accessibility was amazing. Bathroom had appropriate height toilet, grab bars on both sides. Shower had strong stone mounted flip down seat. Small refrigerator, hot water perculator as well as a safe. Patio door and window with screens so you could hear the birds singing as well as a ramp down to the courtyard from the room (as well as one from the community area.)

Only negative would be room is right next to where breakfast is served but only a short time each morning. It was not a bother for me, however might be for late sleepers that are sensitive to noise.

The hotel location is simply perfect, very close to the west edge of Gozo, the "sunset cliff" (one of them - several are referred with that name) is 10 minutes walk. The hotel is small and very friendly, the pools are nice (we were there in October when the temperature was about 25 C, then the water in the pools is quite cool, therefore we used them only once). The breakfast is good, freshly made crumbled eggs, fried sausages, etc – the variety of choices isn’t too wide, but it’s because of the size of the hotel, which is totally fine. The room is really large, the bathroom also, the Wi-Fi connection is good, but there is Netflix and YouTube are also on the TV, therefore we’ve hardly ever used my laptop. I recommend to ask the hotel receptionist to organize a taxi for you back to the ferry, it costs half as much as the taxi costed us the other way around. The bus stop (e.g. to Victoria) is literally around the corner, but instead of using any bus, we rented a scooter (in Victoria) and during our 5-day stay we could flexibly ride around the island – some people warned us that people drive like crazy in Gozo, but it isn’t any crazier than in Berlin (if you are an experienced driver, you will be all right).

It isn't the hotel fault, but we were woken up around 7 each morning, because about 200m away someone was shooting at birds – every f… morning. And he did it in the evenings as well. We didn’t know first what that noise was, but then saw the guy in action. …

The hotel is located on the island of Gozo, in the picturesque village of Għarb, and offers an ideal setting for those seeking a peaceful and relaxing retreat. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the hotel's beautiful surroundings. Our room was located in the courtyard and offered us a view of the pools. The grounds were impeccably maintained and every detail was taken care of, contributing to the overall atmosphere of peace and tranquility. The hotel staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They were always happy to assist us with any questions we had and provided us with great tips on excursions and activities in the area. Their approach made us feel welcome and like part of the family. Breakfast at the hotel was rich and delicious. There was a wide variety of food to choose from, from fresh fruit and yogurt to pastries and cheeses to hot dishes like eggs and bacon. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted delicious. The rooms at the hotel were clean and cozy. Thanks to the quiet surroundings, we were able to fully relax and recharge our batteries here. Fiftyfour West Boutique Living is a great place for those seeking a peaceful and relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend this wonderful place to all our friends and family.

Our stay at the restaurant was absolutely delightful. The rooms exceeded our expectations, both in design and cleanliness, feeling fresh and well-maintained. Our room, with its charming balcony overlooking the pools, added a touch of relaxation to the experience. Though we stayed only one night and didn’t get a chance to use the pools, they looked inviting and immaculate, situated in a cozy enclosed garden that provided a sense of privacy while allowing to enjoy a natural, open-air atmosphere. The breakfast was a highlight—perfectly executed and surprisingly extensive for a smaller establishment. The variety of options was impressive, and the warm, family-like atmosphere made it feel welcoming, almost like visiting a friend’s home. The location, a bit secluded, was ideal for a restful stay and even allowed for star-gazing. Despite being out of the way, the convenient bus stop nearby made it easy to reach other parts of Gozo.

Absolutely stunning hotel with lots of character and a great breakfast included. The room was well sized with an excellent shower and views and sunsets from the terrace were incredible. Luciana and her team made us so welcome and run a fantastic establishment. The location was perfect - set away from the nearest town so surrounded by peaceful countryside, a short walk to Dwerja Bay for a swim, great hiking routes along the coastal path, 10min walk into San Lawrenz for a shop and restaurants (or 20mins into Gharb), and a bus from outside the hotel to Victoria for easy access to the capitol and other transport links. Would absolutely stay here again when returning to Gozo.

The look and feel of the hotel is stunning! With old stone design but a modern feel. The room I stayed in was very spacious and had lots of space for storage too (if needed!) I had the best view looking out on to the Mediterranean Sea, with the most beautiful sunsets each evening! Gharb is on the smaller island, which you can use public transport to get around. IF you want a relaxing time, away from too many tourist on the main Malta island, Victoria/Gozo island is the best option :) The two female staff that worked in the hotel (Milena and Anju) made my experience that much better, as a female solo traveller, it felt great to meet staff who were friendly and sociable! The two pools were amazing, i swam everyday! (Only when the sun is at its peak and shining on the pool). Breakfast was a 7/10 - This is due to the limited food items available, although both the ladies who worked there were always happy to make eggs on demand the way you like them :) Also, the balcony was another cool way to soak in some sun!! If you are going to and from Valetta, use the fast ferry!

The main reception area always had an unpleasant lingering smell which was due to the manager who owns a dog that stays there too, the smell would move into the rest of the living/casual space which was not very nice. Because there were only two staff members (Milena and Anju) running the entire hotel, it was difficult to get support in the evening if needed as I was unable to locate the manager most times. It would be nice to have the pools on west side to make the most of the sun but the pools were lovely regardless! Public transport was quite unreliable and buses only coming round once every hour, so be sure to check bus times or use taxi where possible (Bolt and e-Cabs were popular here)

Lovely staff, helpful, very accommodating and friendly they remembered your name. It was like being in a home away from home. Beautiful property, an old feel but with all modern necessities. Lovely pool. Nice breakfast.

Not a fault of the owners but it’s a tricky place to be without a car as they’re only a few walkable restaurants. To be fair a place nearer the city with plenty of options likely wouldn’t have been a stunning.

A stunning old farmhouse made into a beautiful Boutique hotel. Staff were very helpful and kind. Room was rustic with a charming balcony overlooking the 2 pools. Nice bright private bathroom. Choice of breakfast was fantastic (cereals, yoghurts, toast, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, sausages, baked beans, tea or coffee, fruit juices). We took our breakfast to our room and sat on the balcony with beautiful views of the countryside. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again. Took us about 10 mins to drive from the ferry.

If walking is your thing, this is the place to stay in Gozo. Located very close to the riffs where you can enjoy the sunsets. The room was big with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was our favorite, with lots of savery and sweet options. Luciana and the whole staff are extremelly friendly. The atmosfere of the place is super nice! Luciana also recommended to us some places to have dinner and to explore. Totally recommend to stay with them. We travelled by car. We met a family who travelled by taxi.
