Love the dream location, the room was quiet and cool with AC. The surrounding area in Xlendi is magnificent, so much to see and do...perfect location for sunset.

My friend wasnt aware that identification would be required (room was fully prepaid) reception staff could have handled procedure in a friendlier and more relaxed way. Powdered ? Scrambled eggs at breakfast were inedible, bacon looked to be warmed slightly not cooked enough, and many of the other bain maries were empty - only one staff memeber who was very busy - at 1032 I unwittingly went to have some fruit to finish breakfast, received a dirtly look from a new staff member who made it very obvious i was not welcome in the space by rushing to close the door.

Amazing view! I would recommend anyone to choose a room with sea view despite the extra costs. I also really like the style, both inside the main staircase and in the rooms. It's old fashioned with a lot of wood and definitely past it's prime, but it really gives a cosy vibe and everything matches well together. Personnel was very helpful with a few requests!

The queen size bed I selected was just two two-person beds and mattresses next to each other/linked together. It was linked well so didn't fall through the middle but it's really not as comfortable as a real double mattress if you are the type of couple that likes to sleep together/cuddle (this is one of my pet peeves for many hotels in general but usually you see it only in business hotels and not in hotels that are otherwise perfect for a romantic getaway like this one).

Location was perfect Staff were great , in particular a funny male staff member, don't know his name, but we always joked around with each other. I am from Australia, and the Aussie jokes were flying thick & fast. If he reads this he will know who I am.

There was an incident were a female was screaming help at 4am. Literally it was like a death scream. I went out to the balcony to investigate, I could hear where the screams were coming from, rang reception, they already knew abt it, they tell me the police was called, so hopefully nothing bad happened to that female. I did ask the next day at reception, but because of privacy they can't say anything.

We stayed there for the sea view. That was the best part of everything. However, the beds were not terribly comfortable and the price was high.

I felt I paid a lot of money for a brilliant view and since we didn't stay in the hotel for too long, it might have been smarter to opt for a less expensive room. Also, I had two children with me that would have been more than happy to sleep with me in one large bed, but they change the pricing in order to accommodate. It is important to note that the change in that price was SO much more affordable when I spoke with them on arrival and did that in person. Through Booking.com when I tried, the price became outrageous.

Room cleaned very well. Bathroom facilities were very good. Bedding was clean and the mattress was very comfortable. The lift was OK, but slow at certain times of the day and the stairs need a white stripe added on the edges for people with poor sight.

We waited 30 minutes before anyone took our drinks/meal order, and then waited a further 30 minutes plus for the meal & drinks. Again we waited a very long time before we could order our dessert, and then it was nearly thrown at us. This happened one evening, but service at lunchtime was good. I don’t know if there was a problem in the kitchen that evening, but a waiter/waitress could have simply said there was a problem and we would have accepted it. The food is cooked well and is reasonably priced.

The hotel location is the best in Xlendi. It is on the bay with just a pedestrian promenade between it and the hotel restaurant which is itself right on the water. Parking was always available in a free public lot in front of the hotel. Our room, 501, was on the top floor with a large terrace/balcony overlooking the bay. We highly recommend spending the extra money to get one of those 4 rooms or any of the lower floor rooms that face the water. Our balcony had 2 chaise longues, a table, 2 chairs, and a small umbrella for shade. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with good AC integral to the hotel (so, quiet). The bathroom had been recently renovated, but they made mistakes in the tub/shower design which results in water escaping out onto the floor. There is a small 3 person elevator which made being on the top floor easy. Breakfast buffet was okay and served on the main floor in a big, sunny room. We had one lunch at the hotel restaurant which was just so-so, and chose to eat our dinners at one of the many nearby restaurants so can't comment further on the restaurant. There is a rooftop terrace with a pool and lots of seating that is available to all of the hotel guests. We would stay at this hotel if we return to Gozo.

The bathtub shower water leakage onto the floor was a minor inconvenience.

The location was perfect, the hotel has a feeling of grand hotel. The staff was attentive, and communication was good. The room was cleaned and served appropriately. It was old style and used but everything was working.

Breakfas times not respected! Hot buffet (fried or scrambled eggs etc.) was not ready by 7.30 and guests who came early were not getting it.The feeling of splendor of the grand hotel is spoiled by not beautiful lift, and the terrace outside with cheap looking furniture. If they invest into nice elegant tables and chairs of the terrace restaurant more fitting to the style of hotel- the atmosphere would be more inviting to sit there and enjoy for guests and for visitors of Xlendi.

You can't beat the location overlooking the bay, if you have sea view room. As we have stayed several times before we were greeted like old friends. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety.

The only reason for marking Facilities down by a point is that there is no step free access so it isn't easy to get cases in and out on either side (and I am not sure how anyone with impaired mobility would manage). Having said that, I can see that it would be difficult to fit in any sort of ramp or slope.

Me and my boyfriend went for our anniversary and I informed them when I booked the room. They decorated our room beautifully. They went over and above my expectations with the decor. We had a sea view suite - amazing location and views. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom met all our needs and we have nothing to complain about regarding our room. The breakfast was great and had both continental and English breakfast options.

I booked a room with balcony facing the bay. 4th floor. Was great! Stuff was great, very kind and helpful. I need to work and they gave me a table in the corner of the restaurant with wall sockets behind. Perfect. Breakfast was great as well. We went scuba diving at 8 so had breakfast at 7:30 and again afterwards at 10. They said nothing and we were greatful that was allowed.

We paid 150€ for one night. Despite the great view on the bay, the price is quite high. I think 100-120€ could have been fairer in my opinion. The swimming pool at the roof floor is small and very shallow. Seems a big bath tub :(
