I have stayed at a lot of great places in Mexico, mainly Sayulita. I have never found a comfortable bed nor pillows in any of them, not even in more expensive places. The bed & pillows at Hafa were AMAZING!! I could not believe how well I slept! Also, the dip pool on the roof top was great to have, it was August so super hot, to be able to cool off without having to go to the beach to do so was nice. I would defiantly recommend! Oh, staff was really lovely as well.

There were a few days that our room didn't get cleaned but wasn't the end of the world...

Very central and adorably decorated. Rooms nicely cleaned everyday.

The first room they gave us was the “booking.com room” which was extremely dark, humid, and smelled moldy. We then had to pay extra to get a room that wasn’t gross for our 6 night stay. We were the only occupants in the hotel that stayed in the 3 occupant room the entire week, so it was weird to get upcharged for something that wasn’t inconveniencing them.

The hotel is situated in downtown Sayulita, excellent for walking to the breach or restaurants. The top floor lounging area was really good for hanging out during the heat of the day.

The pool was a little cool, it was hard to sit in it for longer periods but excellent for a quick dip to cool down in the heat. Also I am aware this isn’t the hotels fault but the town square may have music playing loudly till 1am which doesn’t make sleep easy.

Love the decoration and was walking distance from everything. The whole place is so cute and the patios are amazing. Staff was also very helpful in helping to books tours etc

I wish that they offered beach towels to use for the pool and the beach. Also, since it is in the middle of the city it is very loud. This is not their fault but the bar music and noises shake the whole building, so if you are going for peace and quiet this would not be the spot. But if you wanna be in the middle of it this place is great.

Check in was a little confusing as there are two entrances and the office is through a small shop. The property is gorgeous and right down town, excellent aside from the music blaring into the early hours of the morning. There is also a lovely patio / rooftop area perfect for relaxing in the sun.

Proximity to clubs made it difficult to sleep but the walkability to the beach and shops made up for it! Only other complaints are that breakfast wasn’t included and the pool / hot tub (?) wasn’t heated.

Beautifully decorated and very central location. Very helpful to us with storing luggage prior to check in and after check out, very pleasant.

Definitely on weekend the party noise goes until about 5 am, ear plugs would be helpful if you are sensitive to noise. The "pool" is more of a hot tub size but not hot... Full disclosure.

My hubby and I were so happy with our stay at PHH! I was worried I booked the room THEN looked at reviews and read so many people complain about noise. The staff left earplugs on the side table we never needed.. We were there on a Fri,Sat, Sun night and I slept like a baby all 3 nights. The staff was great and so helpful. Thanks for your help Emily.

it is close to the beach (short walk), the room was clean, property is well maintained and in the middle of town.

Our room was on the exterior (#2) and the noise from the neighboring bars made it very hard to sleep. The music was blasting until 3:00am. Having the AC on helped a bit but it was hard to sleep.

Petit Hôtel Hafa is a magic gem in the heart of Sayulita! I love everything about this place! The property is perfectly situated in town and just a skip and a jump to the beach - perfect for a solo female traveler who also likes to enjoy the nightlife and then the nature in the day! I have stayed in 4/8 of the rooms here - all of which are STUNNING. The design is eclectic bohemian and artsy and you feel like you’ve been whisked away to your own little slice of Moroccan Mexico. The rooms feature beautiful photography and the decor and designs can be found also in the cute little boutique attached downstairs! Everything is so unique and I adore the tiled roof and palapa showers! All rooms have very good AC and Wi-Fi also :) The staff are amazing - it’s a family run hotel and everyone is so welcome and kind! The cafe attached features delicious coffee and healthy bowls and breakfast options! You can even get it passed through your window if you’re feeling lazy hahaha! And the bar attached Zouave is always a fun and eclectic scene :) The rooftop deck has stunning views of the town and ocean and plenty of space to chill or get some work done! All in all I cannot recommend Hafa enough! Beautiful, artsy, safe and fabulous! Stay here in Sayulita and you’ll be sure to come back for more!
