Lush plants, pretty tiles and artwork. The staff is wonderful and attentive. The property feels safe. Hammocks, chairs and tables in the nice common area. Two blocks from the beach, many cafes, restaurants, and shops all around. Air conditioner and fan in the room work great.

When booking, guests should be aware that beds in each room have no privacy or separation. The kitchen is completely shared. Consider this when booking for a family. Rooms are simple, as expected for the price.

This place exceeded our expectations - we enjoyed having our own hammock off our little balcony, and we appreciated a solid a/c as well. The staff was kind and welcoming, and they answered many questions regarding local activities and helped us get a taxi back to Pochutla on the last morning. Our room was spacious and clean, and we had everything we needed to cook (though we ate out daily). We also had lots of fresh water in the room that we used to refill water bottles which was so convenient and appreciated! The location is also fantastic - it seems to be in a quieter area, though it is still central and very close to the beach, some restaurants, and a smoothie place that also doubles as a cash exchange place if you're in a pinch. The property itself is also lovely, and we enjoyed lounging at the hammocks under the trees on a few occasions in the afternoon. Overall, I'd recommend this place to anyone looking in Mazunte!

Nothing - everything exceeded our expectations and we had no issues at all!

The room was lovely with a Mexican vibe (whitewashed walls and pretty decor). Close to the beach and restaurants.

Have stayed in places with friendlier staff. We were bailed up by the manager a couple of days into the stay who asked who we were, with no intro as to who he was (we had to ask "and who are you?", which was a little off putting. Also close to a bangin' bar which we could hear from the room. Nevertheless convenient to everything - it's just that the staff were a little - aloof?

The accommodation was very cozy and comfortable, it has a private parking lot and shared outdoor kitchen for people to share. The room was comfortable, with air conditioning and also a fan. It is a beautiful location very near to the beach (walking 3 min). Has many bars and shops around. The host warmly welcomed us and had many tips for things to do in the location.

The shower had good pressure but the water wasn’t really hot. But due to weather the water temperature was ok. The sink is tiny in the bathroom. The bed has only one set of pillows and no blanket.

One of our favourite places we've stayed in Mazunte. We stayed in one of the larger apartment style rooms, and it was really spacious, with its own kitchen, fridge, seating area. There's a big jug of water to refill your bottles, so you don't have to keep buying it. Staff was all friendly and helpful. We arrived early and they allowed us to store our bags there while we headed to the beach until the room was ready. Wifi was patchy in the room, but pretty good in the common areas.

This place is located just off the main street, and you do get some noise from passing vehicles, so it's not always the quietest spot. There was some construction going on outside so we didn't use the hammock on the small patio outside our room, but there were other hammocks in the common area to use.

It's a fantastic place to stay, and I am super happy we chose it. We enjoyed this stay a lot! The location is excellent, close to the main street, Mazunte beaches, public transport stops, turtle museum, hiking routes etc. It's super close if you want to go to Ventinilla Beach or San Agustinillo, Zipolite or even Puerto Angel. And the host was very helpful, supportive, the apartment has everything you need for your daily living. I hope we will come back here!

The only downside could be the music from the street/bars because the apartment is in the middle of the action. But you get used to it in a couple of days, and bars closed at 11PM, so everything's fine. If you want quiet place, you have to look for apartments outside center.

Excellent location - just a few steps from the beach and right by the street with all the bars and restaurants. Spacious and well-equipped apartment (3 fans and an AC - so needed in hot Mazunte). No water pressure or temperature problems (which is pretty special for this area!). We also got purified water which was being refilled for the entire stay and daily housekeeping. Outside of the apartment, there is also a lovely hammock common area. Also, such friendly staff - from the owner, through our host to housekeepers. they truly made our stay wonderful.

I really enjoyed stay at Casa Mazunte Tierra Viva. Management and staff were super friendly and attentive. The hotel itself was quiet but Mazunte is a lively little town and the hotel is in the middle of everything. I fell asleep at night listening to music from a little nearby tavern and woke up in the morning to the sound of a rooster next door and the sound of the waves coming on shore. I just loved it. The beach is a short walk and it was great to be able to walk to the shore and see the sunrise in the morning. The room was simple but super clean and comfortable. The common areas were spacious and very pretty. Very large and clean common kitchen. I hope to return. Soon!

Our bungalow had everything that we needed in Mazunte and the location is great, only half a block from the main street and 2 blocks from the closest beach. We rented a scooter and were able to parked it inside the property. They provide potable water. A/C and wifi worked great! We liked that they are serious about recycling and being a sustainable-focused business. The staff is super friendly too, they helped us find a great taxi back to puerto escondido.

(I wished the common space was a bit more inviting, more like a garden rather than a patio)

The location was perfect for experiencing everything in Mazunte, and offered my friend and I independence to do our own things for a few hours/day. Its about as short as it gets to the beach, restaurants and tiendas. The staff was wonderful and helpful, plus easy to communicate with on WhatsApp.

Everything was great! We didn't realize there was a daily cleaning service. It was fine but not necessary. Most days we asked not to have the room cleaned.
