I stayed 5 nights in one of the countainerrooms. It was clean and comfy. The shower and toilet are outside just around the corner, which made it super special for me. I was there during the rain season. Using the bathroom during a heavy rain shower was something else. Loved it 😄 Nice bar and a comfy beachbeds. The beach itself is beautiful. You can walk for miles past a bunch of interesting hotels.

The downside is that there's no bigger store around it where you can get a bunch of fresh fruits or something. I had to take the taxi to downtown tulum to get some stuff. Otherwise there are some smaller shops close by and a lot of restaurants.

I spent a week at Alquimia, all the staff without exception was welcoming. I had an issue with my ADO bus booking and they helped me with reaching out to customer services, etc. Eddy the Massage Therapist was great and the massage was very relaxing. The food was tasty, they make a really good Tropical Ceviche. This place is pet friendly and my experience there was a personal retreat I did not know I needed. It's not that far from the busy/ party zone yet secluded enough to give you peace.

In no way has this made my stay bad or regrettable but there was a cockroach lodged in front/below my door, maybe due to the crack underneath+ the heat. but would be a good idea to sprinkle some anti-cockroach spray from time to time.

My 5th time for the last 10 years in Tulum! Difficult to find a great place with a good value for money in Tulum and this is the place ! They have different type of rooms ( the containers on the beach side and on other side of the street too and they are cheaper ) they have nice room with view on the beach and small bungalow room attached to eachother next to the entrance and bit close to the street ) However the staff is great and very helpfull restaurant is nice and the food is great value vs money !

The finishing of the room is not great and the water power in the container room was not good

Location was great, sunbeds on the water were amazing and very relaxing throughout the day. It does take a day or two to settle in and the food at the hotel is good considering the price. Be prepared to pay higher than normal pricing. The front staff helped us with an issue in room booking, the room we were assigned Posideon was very noisy with music.

We found there were not a lot of amenities in the room. So if you need tv/coffee machine /kettle / fridge this is not in the room and perhaps the area is not for you. Tipping housekeeping was also a thing that was requested which is the first time I have ever encountered this. We did it but really would prefer the hotel just to include this in price

Alquimia is such a hidden gem I almost don't want to give it away - everything was amazing. Each morning we were steps away from the beach, with a stunning outdoor shower to start the day or end it with a view of the stars. The room was a shipping container but completely modernized with drywall and a glass door to keep the bugs out. The beach club was luxurious and peaceful with the beach kept in immaculate condition and lots of comfortable spots to relax. Bonus was Honey, the adorable dog on the job!

There's nothing we didn't like, but as a note, I would suggest putting a little more storage in the room. Perhaps a small chest or box to put things, or consider swapping the beds for a larger queen size and replace the tables with small shelves.

The room we selected wasn't available when we arrived at the property because of a glitch in the system - but to make up for it, the staff gave us a room which looked equally good to the one I'd booked and added in free breakfast which definitely made up for it - the coffee was so good and the huevos rancheros was the best I've had in Mexico, and right on the beach! The staff were very friendly, spoke good English and very attentive. The pool and the massage beds next to the waves was just what we needed to escape. We were a bit jet lagged and still working on English time but this gave the best opportunity to watch the sunrise on the beach which was magical! I've already recommended alquimia to family and I'd definitely go back, and I also love the focus on eco tourism that's prevalent here

The bed was a little hard but nothing to put me off coming back!

The beach is absolutely beautiful, the cabanas/beach beds and lounge chairs are comfortable, and all the staff - from the receptionists Ennio and Coty, to the beach club bartender and wait staff, to the housekeepers - is very friendly and helpful. Drinks and food are very good. Our room (Olympic) & bathroom had rustic charm and were very clean and spacious. Housekeeping is great with room cleaning and filling the pitcher daily with drinking water. Upon check-in, guests are given one free WiFi access code per guest per device (so if you have a cell phone and a laptop, you need an additional code). The hotel does not have parking, but the scooter rental place directly across the street has a big lot at a good rate (we paid 200 pesos per 24 hrs). Plenty of restaurants are within walking distance, as is Ven a la Luz. We loved everything about our stay and would definitely stay here again.

There was no WiFi signal in our room (Olympic), so we sat in the chairs right outside the room or on the deck overlooking the beach road when we wanted/needed to go online. Not a huge deal, but somewhat annoying.

- the room was quite unique with a rustic built and straw roof (Poseidon) - great beach bar with sunbeds, beachfront and very nice food (I recommend Alquimia guacamole and fish tacos) - the staff was very nice - the massage was good value for money

- it was a bit loud due to the non insulated straw roof - the lunch menu starts only at 12:30 and they make no exception :( hence we had to go out for food a few times as we wanted to have no breakfast but an early lunch

Perfect location, quite and beautiful beachfront. Lots of cabanas, beach beds and lounge chairs. All the staff from the receptionists to the beach club bartenders and housekeepers were very friendly and helpful. Beach club food was also great. You can also join morning yoga class with ocean view that we really enjoyed.

We didn't enjoy the bathroom much. It was kind of outside but had a roof so it got very humid. The water in the shower was weird, smelly and salty. It was duable for few days stay. Bad wifi connection in the room, but great at the beach. :)
