We had half board and enjoyed both our evening meals in each of their restaurants and were very pleased. Breakfast was really good and we sat on the balcony both days. The room was great and sitting on the shared balcony superb. We walked the 1350 steps up to the hillside fort - a real challenge but we made it. I was impressed by the enterprising drinks salesmen at the top - he must have carried it all up there!

We asked for gluten free bread for my wife and it wasn't available on the first day. They made a special trip on day 2 when the supermarket reopened after Sunday closure

Definitely a class property. Situated right at the old town by the main square. Based on an old/ historic building, it has been very tastefully renovated. Would like to call out the staff for their courtesy and understanding (being a family with 2 small kids, we sometimes had specific demands which were met with as best as as possible). Thanks for that. We were in a family/ deluxe suit, which is very large and spacious, and with big windows overlooking the main town square and clock tower (wonderful views hands down). Also appreciate the impromptu arrangement of boat trip for us.

The breakfast options and range could be improved, with little more flexibility if we ask for slight off-menu items.

I like this hotel the more times I stay - this was my third visit. At this time of year, (February), the hotel and Kotor in general are quiet and enjoyable though, late April and early October are my favourite times to visit. On previous visits, I had a "deluxe" double, once booked, once upgraded. This time, I had a standard double, slightly smaller, beautifully furnished AND with a walk in shower (no bath) - much better for me (a single traveller) and brighter. This room shares the common outside balcony on the second floor and I will request this room next time I stay . It goes without saying that again, all staff members and management were excellent and the breakfast, taken in in the adjoining Pub AS, (outside was my choice), was superb. All round, a lovely hotel and easily recommended.

Leaving.

Gorgeous hotel in best location for exploring the old city. Very near the main gate so also easy for pick up and drop offs with your luggage. The decor was lovely and of a fine quality. Staff were very helpful and went out of their way when I lost a piece of my belongings (it was found!). Breakfast had many options and even had prepared espresso (not just the automated machines found in many take away cafes), delicious. The room itself was very spacious and had great views of the front square. We were able to stow our bags after check out for the hour before we left the city which we appreciated. Highly recommend this hotel!

Amazing balcony view with Old square and mountains, authentic inner interior with David Lynch style of halls, perfect location, historical atmosphere. Good restaurant with grilled seafood! The staff was very polite and helpful. Night walk in Old Kotor city was one of the best travel experience and walk on top of old fortress was something special. Absolute recommendation.

Just little whimsical wishes. No light-salty fish at breakfast and poor lighting in the bathroom. And it would be perfect if upper bar worked during evening.

Stayed at Cattaro at the beginning of May. Loved the location in Kotor old town. Nomatter how busy the city was with cruise passengers we could relax knowing we had the town to ourselves aftr 6:00pm. The breakfast was outstanding and we loved taking it out onto the Balcony overlooking the old town. Staff were so helpful. They quickly got us a driver at short notice and they did everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable . Looking forward to visiting again.

The hotel is located at the entrance of the old town where every facility is within walking distance. The rooms have plenty of space and are well-decorated with the spirit of the city. They have a good city view on the balcony. Also, the staff was great and very helpful. Breakfast was adequate and dinner was in the restaurant where is the outside of the hotel.

They charged extra for the baby bed. Drinks are not included in the dinner.

I had a two night stay in February 2022 when my usual hotel was closed. This time, I chose this hotel for my seven night stay and I was given a free upgrade to the second floor "deluxe" double that I had last time - which was much appreciated. Once again, I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay, largely due to the comfortable room and each and every member of staff I met. ALL the receptionists, my housemaid and the two girls at breakfast were outstanding. As was the buffet breakfast served either on the small outside first floor terrace or inside in the very impressive restaurant. I and three guests very much enjoyed the food at dinner on one night in the hotel's adjoining Pub AS. Highly recommended and it will not be my last stay.

It did not bother me at all but it must be pointed out that the hotel does not have a lift. Having said that, rooms are on the first and second floors and your cases will be carried to your room. Ask for a "walk in" shower if you have mobility problems.

Hotel Cattaro is uniquely situated against the walls of Old Town Kotor. It’s restaurant is on the fortress ramparts overlooking a moat. It is very special and unique Hotel to be. The 2nd hotel restaurant is situated outdoors on the main old town square. Positioning is perfect. The staff were well mannered and informative.

Not being able to drink tap water. We should have been supplied more than 1 bottle on 1 day.

Location - extremely central in the old town. Staff - very friendly and assisted us with luggage, booking tours, etc. Top tip - if arriving by car, ask the driver to call the hotel in advance and someone will assist with bringing luggage into the old town. Breakfast - great spread, very friendly staff. Room - very large but a few items could be improved - see below.

Air-conditioning - not the greatest, but did work. Room - was huge but a little bit dated. I think the bathrooms will need to be updated in the next few years.. Beds - not particularly comfortable.
