Great location and wonderful staff. Rooms are a little dated, but very good value for money. Would stay here again.

Breakfast could be improved a bit. Make it so there is a bit more variety each day.

This hotel offers a hassle-free experience with clean rooms, beds, and bathrooms. They provide complimentary airport pick-up upon arrival, and everything operates smoothly. Check-in was seamless, and the reception staff was extremely helpful. While the hotel does not have a lift, the staff gladly assist with luggage, as they did when taking mine to my room on the 3rd floor. The room was cleaned daily and stocked with bottles of mineral water. The WiFi connection is reliable, and hot water is available—just let it run for a moment to heat up. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Thamel, just a short walk from Lod Club and other attractions. They also offer foreign currency exchange at the reception, and all the staff are incredibly kind. While sitting in the lobby, they even offered me tea or coffee. With a nighttime security guard adding to the sense of safety, this hotel is truly recommended.

Amazing hotel and staff! I felt like I was part of beautiful Nepalese family. It was by far the best accommodation I have stayed in while in Nepal. Great location, in a very safe area. Of course it’s important to clean and comfortable accommodation which is what you get, but it’s the staff and management that take it to another level. There’s nothing they wouldn’t help you with. I had an issue with a broken toe, and the manager took me to a local clinic to see a Dr. The Dr was fantastic and gave me what I needed to make the rest of my stay comfortable. If you are considering staying at Kathmandu Eco, then don’t hesitate, you won’t regret it! I’m definitely looking forward to returning next year and this will be my home of choice. Thanks again to all of the staff, you certainly made my stay memorable!

The Location of the Hotel is perfect, right in the center of Thamel, and the staff is super helpful, friendly and forthcoming. If you want to, they'll help you plan your entire Trekking trip and you can leave any luggage you don't want to take Trekking locked away at the hotel for free. Also, the price is hard to beat and the breakfast is included.

The wifi was quite slow and the breakfast options might get boring after more then 2 days. Also, they advertise free airport pickup, but the guy who waited for us at the airport aggressively demanded a very large tip from us (way higher than the price for a regular Taxi).

Easy communication with the hotel. Friendly staff and they help to arranged for my complimentary airport transfer to hotel. I’ve stayed here for 1 night before meeting my hiking teammate and I’ve rebooked again this hotel after my hikes as I like the place. They assist me to book a taxi as I’m late for the complimentary airport transfer to the airport and it was heavy traffic to wait for them to come back. Only cons is the hotel doesn’t have lift but their staff can help carry up/down the luggage. The location is good in Thamel for shopping and close to Halal restaurants

- No balcony or view even though was listed in my room description (just a wall with pigeons 😄) and I couldn’t open the window. - There were some stains on the towels. My suggestions for improvement: - Would be great to have a hair dryer and shower gel instead of regular soap. - Would be really helpful to have adapters.

This hotel is something else but be warned there is no lift. I was on the 4th floor with a street view, the steps were easily manageable. The restaurant was cosy and the service very good. The bed was very comfortable and it was easy to arrange taxis and tours. Thamel is the tourist area, so the nightlife can be prominent, but that all adds to the atmosphere.

As mentioned the lack of a lift could be an issue for those with mobility issues, but there are ground floor rooms available.

Pros: Kathmandu Eco Hotel Staff Members or Family Members their behavior, way of greetings and always supportive. There is so much that I can express towards elaborating the hotel facilities to hotel location and their family members nature. Always welcoming with open arms from top to bottom level of the hierarchy. Felt comfortable and loving Traveled Solo but didn't felt so as everyone was communicating and special arrangements for the breakfast, evening Tea even after checking out granted extra few hours. And one observation as a LGBTQ Guy They have sexy male crew or family members but all are workaholic.

Cons: 1. No lift (Major Issue) 2. 4% Extra on Card Payments as digital systems are still in pipeline 3. Costing part of cabs can be reduced or arranged in lower prices. 4. Some small amendments reqd like Tea/Coffee/ Milk (small pouchs of nescafe/everyday) in each rooms, room facilities

One of the best hotel located in the middle of thamel which has easy access to the local market for buying souvenir gifts for your family and friends. The staff is full with highly trained service in each and every department who won't let you have any problem if any problem they are eager to help you anytime. The room is well decorated with paintings on the ceiling and the hot shower is so smooth. If you can go to the 6th floor where you can get the good views and if you are fortunate if the weather is clear because mountains can be seen. The terrace on the third floor is full of flowers and other small plants which is good to see.

The property has a very good location in Thamel area , the tourist hub of Kathmandu, very close to the city centre. The staff was very kind, friendly and helpful, they gave me lots of info about all Nepal, not only Kathmandu The room was nice and modern compared to local standards. WiFi.is very.good and breakfast is more then ok , lots of choices including fresh fruits.They also stored my luggage for free forndays after my first check-out, (I stay at the hotel twice) and it was very helpful. You can exchange money for a good exchange rate nearby, more over.lots of restaurants and shops to buy your trekking gear at a very good price. The 2 Hotel managers Mr Raj and Mr Bimal.are simply fantastic person, you can't.go wrong by choosing this hotel...best rate/quality in Kathmandu...and...Lord of Drinks...fantastic disco is next door
