Firstly, the staff. They were all super nice. But, specifically, I recently (well, 4 months ago)broke my femur so have been walking with a 4 wheeled walker until I regain my balance. They put me in a superb room with an accessible wet room. Secondly, I have been learning nederlands for an embarrassing amount of time. And, nederlanders do reply in nederlands to me now, but I'm not fluent. And, the staff, without a thought all went super nederlands. To me, personally, it means loads. And did my confidence the world of good. Lastly, for a hotel priced in the more reasonable bracket, this hotel is superb. Assen was also a surprise to me. I have been to many staden in Nederland, and this is now one of my favourites.

Lovely rooms beds were comfortable breakfast staff and manager so nice and helpful... The young chap at the bar at nice with the curly hair so a young gent helped me sort my WiFi and so. Pleasant.. Great breakfast the lovely ladies at reception where so helpful also in particular the lady with the golden hair very lovely person.. So helpful.. The rooms are quiet have air con.... The shower in room 325 do flood.... Suggestion maybe put in a high shower tray so the water doesn't go right up to the toilet... Spotless clean fab staff... Pricey but location is good.. Staff were very Friendly and helpful. Great location in the middle of Assen. Good food, lovely breakfast, comfortable bed and very good service. Will definitely be back.

The only thing I can fault is no private parking at or provided by the hotel. There was public pay by day parking close by which we used. It would be good if the hotel could do a deal with this parking garage for guests as we had to get a new ticket each time we entered.

The staff were very helpful, easy relaxed check in. We had a large spacious room, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage. The bathroom was large with underfloor heating and an efficient shower. Hotel is located in the centre of Assen with easy access to the town centre bars and restaurants. However the in house restaurant was excellent with great service, lovely food and menu selection. A superb buffet breakfast was available.

The breakfast room has a beautiful view over the market square. The breakfast is extensive and varied too. The central location made it easy to wander around the city centre.

The nearest parking was 100 metres away. This was no problem for me on a short trip but if I came with my family and had suitcases to carry, it would be very inconvenient. The shower has followed fashion but it is bad fashion. There is no door and the water flows over the floor of half the bathroom. A disaster I have seen in many hotels. If I know in advance I look for a different hotel. There is no table one can use for a laptop.

Very nice and clean hotel, good size room with plenty space. Good facilities and comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff at reception. Breakfast was included in my stay which was very nice and plentiful. Hotel in a good location, close to pubs and restaurants.

The hotel was clean and the rooms were comfortable. It was easy to regulate the temperature. Perfectly located in the city centre, the lovely food market on the doorstep on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Although situated in the middle of the city centre, in and around the hotel was really quiet. And the breakfast was the best we've ever had.

Very helpful staff, large comfortable room and wet room. Excellent breakfast and meals served in their adjacent restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere and conveniently close to all facilities, including railway station, shops, market, an excellent museum and the very reasonably priced town hall underground car park. An excellent centre for visiting the Drenthe Moor megalithic remains.

Avoid rooms facing the market square on Tuesday nights as the early setting up of the Wednesday market stalls are likely to disturb your sleep.

This was the second time I have stayed here. It is very convenient for events at the nearby Assen circuit, and the town of Assen itself is well worth exploring. The staff were extremely helpful in allowing us to park out motorcycles securely in their courtyard. The rooms are large, comfortable and very clean. And the breakfast is excellent!

the room was comfortable and clean the wifi was good the restaurant food was very good. I was leaving early on my checkout day and so the staff ordered me a takeaway bag to replace my breakfast.

There was very loud work going on the roof for two days during my stay. When I asked the staff how long it would continue, they asked if I wanted to change room but said that it would be finished the day after. I decided to stay in my room. I was happy that the staff offered me the room change without hesitation and that was sufficient feedback for my concerns.
