This place is a cozy family-run hotel and restaurant, right across the 70 Bus stop in Giethoorn - super easy to get around! Gaby, the owner and one of chiefs, is a lovely person and also a exper of Chinese culture since she has a great bond with China in business. The service is incredibly warm, friendly, and promptly responsive to help out. They really made us feel at home. The room is clean and get everything in it. The whole place is beautifully decorated. Most importantly, the food they serve are incredible. The breakfast and dinner are delicious and delicate. Once Gaby got a moment, she would come by say hi and introduce the dishes – a nice and crash course in Dutch food culture and we love it! You could choose eat inside or outside near the river. We did run into a little hiccup during our trip, but Gaby and her amazing team went above and beyond to make sure we had a safe and comfy stay. The place oozes with cultural vibes and a caring atmosphere, and their food is as authentic as it gets – a real highlight of our trip! We do hope we can come back and experience this hotel again in the future!

Steep Stairs might be unfriendly to the elderly.

Excellent in-room breakfast and dining quality and services, especially given the COVID situation. The staff did their best to make us feel as comfortable as possible.

The distance to the "Giethoorn village" is quite far (more than expected, booking.com mentioned 1,2km which is not even half way). Though this is not to blame to the hotel of course, but something to consider. My advice would be to either drive to "downtown" Giethoorn or rent bicycles.

The location of this hotel was superb situated close to Giethoorn Village. It is a family run hotel and we were made to feel very welcome.The hotel itself has a lovely front garden and the canals wind around it. So Pretty ! The food at the hotel was exceptional. Breakfast was a very hearty affair.It was table service and both hot and cold food were available. Also we were provided with various breads, cheeses, meats and pastries....so many that they covered the whole table! We were also provided with a paper bag and encouraged to take anything left with us for lunch!.Definitely a first for us! We stayed half board and ate in the restaurant in the evening. This was on the patio overlooking the garden which was very pleasant. The evening meal was a set menu but was home cooked and delicious. Although this is a hotel, professionally run, it felt like you were staying with friends or relatives. The staff were so friendly taking time to chat and share their obvious pride in their local area and facilities.

As we didn't stay in the main hotel we can only speak for the lodge we stayed in at the rear of the hotel. The lodge itself overlooked the canal and had a patio area that was shared. The lodge was modern inside, spotlessly clean, comfortable but a little cramped for our liking.

It was absolutely lovely and well worth the money you paid. The service was great and everyone was very accommodating. We asked if they had a picnic basket and luckily they had one we could borrow. We also got a little couple room that felt like we were in our own little bubble, it was a great escape to relax. There is also a walking trail next door where you can walk around the neighbourhood where there are cute Giethorn houses. It felt more fairytale-like than the other touristy one a 10 mins car drive away- highly recommend

What’s not to like! Great location, great host, excellent food spread for breakfast and lunch. We also rented a boat for a canal ride. Our room was amazing and we had a nice tub. It was a perfect stay!

Great location in the Northern part of Giethoorn, just next to the bus stops and close to the old town by foot. Amazing food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and friendly personnel! Extremely comortable & quaint little house with a modern box-bed and nice view of the canal.

The bathrooms in the rooms don’t have a door, because of their modern design

Lovely place, nice hospitality, clean, few minutes walk to the village road witch was amazing. Great meals, dinner and breakfast were really good Really loved it

The meals was in specific hours,dinner at 18:00 and breakfast at 9:00, we came after eating late lunch and wasn't that hungry at 18:00 ... we should have ask before because it wasn't written in the booking

The room was perfect, air conditioning great and very close to the lesser known part of giethoorn is perfect. We were offered a welcoming drink on arrival, which was very nice. Evening meal was fabulous.

No real reception area, which is not a real issue, but I was not sure where to go to book in. It would possibly help visitors, if they were aware that they needed to head to the bar. Breakfast possibly lacked choice for some. Would be nice to have a option for some breakfast cereal? BUT SAYING THAT STILL 10 out of 10

Our room was very special with separate bedroom like a room inside another room. Very cozy, you could change lighting there in the bedroom. All toilet accessories were in the bathroom. Coffee machine and teapot with great variety of tea bags. I found even green mint tea bags which are something special. Our Room was very clean. Nice and kind stuff. There is also a restaurant there and they cooked and bring us an amazing dinner with wide range of dishes. Our breakfast was also very nice. They brought it to our room because of corona rules. Free parking is also a big plus. We left our car there and walked to the beautiful Giethoorn. Definitely recommend this hotel to all Giethoorn visitors!

Our room was very cold because the heating was switched off. Outside was quite cold and we had to stay in our coats till the battery warmed up the room.it would be nice if hosts would switch on the heating 1-2 hours before our arrival. There was no door to the toilet. It would be great to get also a cup of fresh capuccino for the breakfast.

Hospitality of the staff. Took time to chat. Warm welcome. Good food. Not the same food twice.

A few too many flies in the dining room. Softer cushions in he bedroom.
