A lovely experience at this property. Firstly, the staff are all wonderful ... very family style - friendly and helpful. They really made the stay special. My room was really unique with an old style bed which was super comfortable. My room also had a private courtyard which was pretty and lovely to relax in. The hotel itself is super clean and the patio a place you can really relax. Lots of birds, flowers and nature around. Perfectly situated right opposite is a bus stop so if you are coming in via public transport, it's ideal. Bus also goes into the village. Food was incredible. Breakfast was included and delicious. Special dinner was on the expensive side but homemade and generous and lovely. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family!!

It was quite hot when I was there and there was no aircon in the room. Fortunately, I could leave the windows and doors open so there was a breeze but it is something to just be aware of.

We absolutely loved the breakfast and dinner that were served at the restaurant! The staff were incredibly friendly, and very accommodating and flexible. We got some advice for where to go, and how to best get to the city center of Giethoorn. It was a very nice walk from the hotel, and we thought it was in the perfect location, as there were not too many tourists.

The only improvement would have been the Wi-Fi, as the Wi-Fi in our room did not connect at all. However, we didn't mind too much as we were also trying to get away from the stress of day-to-day life, and enjoyed the getaway from our phones.

Everything was perfect. Starting by the Staff, they were super welcoming and very friendly and polite and helpful. The room itself was very comfortable and romantic. The property is very beautiful. I recomend to take some pictures. For a staying in such a beautiful village like Giethoorn is, this property suits the event in a perfect way. We will come back during the Summer to visit Giethoorn again and obviously, we will come back to stay in De Dames Van De Jonge Hotel Restaurant. Thank you so much for a pleasent staying. This place is a cozy family-run hotel and restaurant, right across the 70 Bus stop in Giethoorn - super easy to get around! Gaby, the owner and one of chiefs, is a lovely person and also a exper of Chinese culture since she has a great bond with China in business. The service is incredibly warm, friendly, and promptly responsive to help out. They really made us feel at home. The room is clean and get everything in it. The whole place is beautifully decorated. Most importantly, the food they serve are incredible. The breakfast and dinner are delicious and delicate. Once Gaby got a moment, she would come by say hi and introduce the dishes – a nice and crash course in Dutch food culture and we love it! You could choose eat inside or outside near the river. We did run into a little hiccup during our trip, but Gaby and her amazing team went above and beyond to make sure we had a safe and comfy stay. The place oozes with cultural vibes and a caring atmosphere, and their food is as authentic as it gets – a real highlight of our trip! We do hope we can come back and experience this hotel again in the future!

Steep Stairs might be unfriendly to the elderly.

The location of this hotel was superb situated close to Giethoorn Village. It is a family run hotel and we were made to feel very welcome.The hotel itself has a lovely front garden and the canals wind around it. So Pretty ! The food at the hotel was exceptional. Breakfast was a very hearty affair.It was table service and both hot and cold food were available. Also we were provided with various breads, cheeses, meats and pastries....so many that they covered the whole table! We were also provided with a paper bag and encouraged to take anything left with us for lunch!.Definitely a first for us! We stayed half board and ate in the restaurant in the evening. This was on the patio overlooking the garden which was very pleasant. The evening meal was a set menu but was home cooked and delicious. Although this is a hotel, professionally run, it felt like you were staying with friends or relatives. The staff were so friendly taking time to chat and share their obvious pride in their local area and facilities.

As we didn't stay in the main hotel we can only speak for the lodge we stayed in at the rear of the hotel. The lodge itself overlooked the canal and had a patio area that was shared. The lodge was modern inside, spotlessly clean, comfortable but a little cramped for our liking.

The food!! Gaby is such an excellent chef, her food is absolutely amazing. We went to Giethoorn as we wanted to drive our own boat and they kindly arranged one for us :) all the staff there are so so nice and friendly. The comfort room was really nice! Air conditioning works well too :D

Not much actually. Our family had the standard rooms which didn’t have air conditioning nor much space for their luggage, but all else was great :)

Love the staff, especially owner Gaby who showed passion of her work, her care about customers. On our day of departure, the luggage door of our rental car could not close properly. Gaby, her father, her staff were very eager to help. Eventually, they found a friend who knows cars well and fixed the problem. We are very grateful! Would recommend all of our friends to visit Geithoorn and stay at Gaby's place. George

There hospatality is beyond expectation, they offered us cip of coffee on our during rainy day, helped with the luggage to room Breakfast & dinner was super yum The chef gabriella is awesome, the presentation of food & taste was amazing , & she enquired about the food explained the ingredients, on our departure day they packed food stuff also

Great beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Our room was directly on the canal with a wonderful outdoor seating and the restaurant was elegant and luxurious,especially since we are vegetarians,the chef prepared a special dinner for us and it was very delicious. Thank you chef you are creative and the best in Netherlands

nice modern room with a shared terrace overlooking the water stream. delicious breakfast with fruit and a variety of breads and topics.. personnel was really friendly and helpful. the have two nice electric whisper boats for rent that you can take for the day and explore giethoorn and its surroundings.
