It was great arriving at the airport and just being able to get on a free bus to take you directly to the hotel. I was surprised on entering the hotel as it had completely changed since my last visit. The reception area, bar and restaurant have been completely refurbished/extended - I thought I had mistakenly entered the wrong hotel. The food I had for lunch and in the evening was fabulous, I didn't have breakfast. The room was clean and spacious, beds large and comfortable. Shame I couldn't stay for longer.

I guess the only downside is the distance from Amsterdam, but that wasn't an issue for me as I was attending a conference at the hotel. If you did want to go into Amsterdam, I guess you could take the free shuttle back to the airport and catch the train from there.

Free shuttle transfer from and to Schiphol airport runs almost 24/7 taking 15-20 mins each way. Hotel was much bigger than I was expecting Room was big, bed was comfortable, bathroom had separate rainfall shower and jacuzzi bath. Towels and good quality shower/shampoos were provided There is a coffee maker which doubles as a kettle for making tea and other infusions. Extra supplies are available from reception Breakfast was a very good selection of hot and cold dishes, breads and pastries plus extensive hot and cold drinks There are two self-service Minimarts on the ground floor for snacks, drinks and necessities which require payment by card, no cash taken... The swimming pool and sauna area is enjoyable but can get very busy. All the staff were very welcoming and approachable

No real negatives, but perhaps adding a 'real' kettle to allow drinks to be made with boiling water... 😉

Our stay here was excellent. Although I made an error on booking the 3 rooms we required, Lissette on reception did everything she could to rectify the issue. Her customer service was excellent and second to none. Thank you for your help Lissette, it was really appreciated. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the service was good too.

Irons and ironing boards weren't in the room and you had to go to an ironing room if you required to iron clothes. The coffee machine in the room wasn't working correctly. I would have asked for it to be replaced but was only staying there one night so didn't bother.

What an awesome hotel is this hotel. Although its on a flightpath for airplanes you hear them in a far distance in your room. Dinner was super as the same for breakfast. The bedding is a boxspring with a topper and the rainshower was perfect. The rooms for a standaard room is spacious. AC is working and you are able to set the room temp to 15 degrees. What is a perfect temp for me to sleep. The swimming pool area was fantastic to just relex and take a infrared sauna (you need bath clothes). Overal en awsome new years night stay. Our compliments and hearts go out to the staff of this establishment for this awsome night. Thank you all.

Very comfortable rooms with ample desk space and bathing facilities which is part of the branded Vandervalk experience. Excellent breakfast without waiting queues, friendly staff in the breakfast area. A special appreciation for the conference and banqueting team and their technical staff, they were very helpful, diplomatic and responsive ahead of our planned meeting.

Bar closes abruptly before midnight even if the bar is packed with (business) guests. Some receptionists stare on their screen for minutes before approaching waiting guests. This happened a couple of times, points for improvement.

We were at the back of the hotel, with a balcony over viewing car parks and fields, once checked in we parked near the rear entrace and used that until the day of departure. There were airport style luggage trollies which took a coin and was useful for loading in/out. The room was massive and beautifully decorated, technically twin beds next to each other which is better for sleep and really comfy. Walk in shower was great, no door to the bathroom, but there was on the toilet so all good. Absolutely loved it Partner was worried about noise with the airport close, but with the balcony door shut we heard no noise at all and she's very sensitive :D

A handle on the outside of the balcony door would be good as it was tricky to close when outside. We didn't use housekeeping for our 4 day stay, but would have liked access to replacement coffee pods. There were housekeeping trollies about and i grabbed a few extra, but felt cheeky doing it!

Already more times stayed in this hotel near A4/Schiphol airport. Appriciate comfortable rooms, good breakfast - in the past it used to be even richer, now as they built new building/extension it was bit less but I think it was only temporary. The extensions look nice, it seems they will be prepared for even more quests. Also good access to airport with shuttle bus. I will use also in the future for my travels to the Netherlands.

The hotel room was cleverly designed. The bath area featured separate spaces for the toilet, shower, and wash basin. This thoughtful layout made it a breeze for two people to utilise different parts of the bath area simultaneously, without any hassle. But what truly set this room apart was the full glass wall, adorned with the painter's playful master piece, “The Company of Captain Albert Bas and Lieutenant Lucas Conijn” by G. Flinck, which added a touch of humour and uniqueness. At breakfast, the array of options, including cold cuts, fresh-made omelettes, and a variety of hot and cold beverages, were a delightful start to the day. But the real highlight was the "pancake machine" that magically produced two freshly made pancakes with just a wave of the hand!!! There was also a reliable and punctual hotel shuttle bus service for transportation to and from the airport which was very convenient. It eliminated the stress of finding alternative transportation methods and ensured a smooth transition between the hotel and the airport.

During one of our visits to the hotel's restaurant, we were excited to enjoy a delightful meal. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by a lack of assistance when trying to be seated. Despite three members of the restaurant staff seeing us standing at the entrance, eagerly waiting to be seated, nobody approached to assist us but pretended to be busy looking for hand towels or speaking with each other.

airport: it was not easy (for us) to find the shuttle bus pickup/drop off location at the airport. Once you know the location the shuttle bus is very convenient and the hotel is close to the airport. room: good enough for one night to sleepover before the flight. breakfast: excellent

I noticed too late that there are 2 USB chargers on the other side of the bed. It would be more convenient if both sides have USB chargers. I can imagine that people get confused on the numbering of the rooms and the floor level.

From check-in to check-out our stay couldn't have been better. Reception staff were very courteous, always with a smile and answered any questions we had. The room was quite large by most European standards and we loved the Dutch themed artwork incorporated into the design of the room which we found very interesting. The restaurants were exceptional, the service staff across the board were friendly and efficient. The food of course was plentiful and excellent. The shuttle service to and from Schiphol was invaluable to us, and many thanks to the driver for not driving off when we were running to catch it at the airport. I managed to just catch the back door and knock on it, the driver saw us and stopped, so courteous of him to do that. Will definitely stay here on our next trip to Amsterdam!

We didn't like the rain! Of course the hotel can't control the Dutch liquid sunshine, so the only thing even remotely negative we can say is that the door handle to the balcony was very loose so it was a bit difficult to open and close the door. The coffee maker in the room only had two Nespresso coffee pods, we would have liked to have a couple more for our morning coffee. That's about as negative as I can get with the hotel!
