Very professional staff, ready to solve any issue you may have with a smile on their face and lots of patience... (I actually had a problem with both my business and personal card being charged for the same stay - not by the hotel - followed by back and forth transfers and annoying phone calls with the bank(s) and the front desk staff gave me all their support during all this mess-up until everything was crystal clear and everyone was happy... So I could enjoy the wonderful location, the large clean room, the friendly restaurant and bar area and the great atmosphere. Nice people. Great place !
If only they had my favorite stout at the bar, it would have been true heaven ! :) But this is on me not on them :)

The cleanliness of the rooms, the size and the view from the room was very nice. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the food was also superb.
To go to the center of Groningen you have to take a taxi. If you like fresh air to sleep in, my advice is not to leave the door of the terrace open in the spring instead of using the air conditioning. Unless you like beetles and moths, which can be a bit bigger in the countryside than in the city. A screen door would be nice ;)

Check-in and out went well. Bed was comfortable. Very modern and clean bathroom. Not a noisy hotel.
The cleaners were quite loud in the hallway during my second morning here. They were talking to eachother, each of them were busy in another room - my room was in between. This was before 9am. Breakfast scrambled eggs are dry - I would recommend making on the spot as the omelets. One spotlight was flickering the whole time - very annoying.

The room was outside the main building. The bathroom was quite luxury, nice shower/ shampoo gel, good brand hair dryer ( not those cheap ones) but still did not like the shower curtain.

I had a wonderful view over the surroundings, fields and trees and a comfortable seat on the balcony for a rest during sunset. The staff was very friendly and professional. The Restaurant served a delicious meal on the beautifully illuminated terrace late in the evening.

The air fresheners in the corridors to the room are way too strong and it makes the walk to your hotel room uncomfortable. They said they're working on it and I hope next time I visit they will have solved it.

The problem with the water condensation on the root windows was apparent. Water damage was done to the wooden frames. Signs of mould were visible. Due to the time of the year (winter) roof windows were all the time covered with condensation obstructing any view.

In the bedroom there were some details that needed maintenance. Comparing to VdValk Zwolle, the deluxe room has the same price as this one and it is bigger and better.

Everything was perfect! Lovely ladies on a reception, absolutely superb service! Dog friendly, room with a little terrace and acces to the grounds - perfect for travelling with a dog! Exceptionally clean.
