The cleanliness and welcoming staff were exceptional and the surprise was the quality of the restaurant food which were were not planning to use but were so please we did , as the quality of the food and drinks were well beyond what we expected and is the positive lasting memory of our stay. The hoists / manager was also warm and engaging and she made us feel engaged and really welcome . The roomed and facilities were clean and functional but a bit dated .

Decor and overall look was clean and functional but dated. The food quality aand menu if all dishes are as good as we experienced in the restaurant are far better than the decor and feeling of the aged facilities.

The staff was super friendly from the very first meeting and we even received a welcome pack, with my name spelled right, which is almost never the case! The room was clean and exactly like advertised and the stream with the benches and little bridges was such a delight and surprise! We absolutely loved the enclosed and private spa bath and used it twice. Oh, and I could actually watch all the Sky channels and not a limited few as in some places. It was also really great that there was a table with chairs both at the entrance and the backdoor as we preferred to look at the paddocks at the back of the room.

I felt really bad using the white towels at the outdoor area by the spa, although it is enclosed. Maybe you can provide some darker colours or beach towels for the spa bath?

Staff very friendly and helpful. Perfect location for us. Very clean and tidy rooms, parking right outside the door. Restaurant on site open for dinner (we didn't use so can't comment on this). Nice clean pool area (warm water).

Only things we could fault, which isn't much is the wet area shower with shower curtain water splashes further into the bathroom so need to wipe floor when finished. The room we had you could hear a little road noise, but we have stayed here before in a different room and didn't hear any.

Absolutely, loved our stay with the kids here. The staff were all super happy and appear to love their work which is super cool to see! Everyone was very accommodating and they went above and beyond to meet all our needs. The pool and spa were fabulous! Walking around some of their scenic bush and stream area was delightful. The mini golf and areas to explore, along with the small play area and pool provided great entertainment for the older kids when we had to bring the toddler back in the afternoons for his nap! The cows just through the fence of our first room were a bonus and the kids even managed to befriend one. Our dinner at the restaurant was the highlight of our stay, nothing was a problem, meals were cooked to perfection and every one of us was satisfied (even the usually hard to please eaters). They were very tolerant and understanding over our over-tired, wound up little people, and that really meant alot to an already stress out mumma! Overall, we were very very happy with our choice of accomodation we had a great holiday which was a big part because of Ripple Rotorua! We will definitely be back!

The spa bath in the general area is missing pieces and the jets don't work, it needs general repairs and maintenance by the looks. Still felt lovely to sit in the hot water after the pool! Sorry, we went through the pool towels so fast! Staff were very helpful at finding some more for us when needed. Parts of the wallpaper/paint in places of room 10 were coming off and I was worried the children were going to pick at it and make it worse. Other than that our stay was amazing and we will definitely be back! I am unsure if there are clothe washing facilities. It's possible there are and I just didn't notice.

WE enjoyed our 2 nights at Ripple Rotorua. Our room had a private spa bath and we used it, very relaxing. The accomodation was changing hands from a best western and the new owners we spending some effort to beautify the rooms and landscaping. The staff were very friendly and I was impressed that the lady at the front desk remember me by name the day after check in. The hotel/resort caters well for families with children. We were a couple and the hotel was quite and comfortable. Good value for money and if you have a car then a great option for moderate cost in Rotorua..

Such a friendly welcome from the staff. 2 bedrooms, a wet room and a small kitchen unit with coffee, tea and fresh milk supplied, so lots of space and good amenities. Huge car parking space right outside. Whilst not in the centre of Rotorua, it’s only a 7-min drive or Uber ride away. And because it’s slightly out of the centre, it’s super quiet. I slept so well on the comfy beds. I would definitely stay there again.

The curtain in the front room did not quite cover the window but this was such a minor thing that didn’t affect our stay.

The room was very clean and tidy.

Everything we enjoyed

The location was perfect for our very short break. Right opposite the gondola and the mini putt with rabbits. Considering it's on a main highway it is surprisingly quiet. Bird song was the first sound I heard in the morning. The restaurant is compact but with quality food and outstanding hospitality and very accommodating to our dietary requirements.. There is a lovely little stream where trout can be seen The heated pool was a nice surprise for the winter although I was happy to float in the spa tub.

The only thing I could fault was the shower pressure . Satisfactory but I like to blast the soap out of my hair lol

Best Western Rotorua was such a great place to stay for our trip. The manager was so lovely and quickly amended anything we needed or asked for. The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed and the private spa pool was amazing!! Was great to be able to relax in your own spa in privacy, it was covered and tucked away but you still had a little view of the native bush which was really nice. The room was comfortable and clean, there was parking outside our room and even when someone parked there from the restaurant the hotel manager quickly got them to move for us which was great. The location is perfect, you can walk across the road to the luge and it is only a short drive into the city center. We spotted trout in the stream and I am sure the mini golf, outdoor pool and playground area would be amazing in summer but it was a bit too cold for us. Overall we loved our stay here!

The only thing that was a bit tricky was the layout of the bathroom but other than that everything was fine.

The new owners clearly have a mission to make this a top both motel and I wish them well. As yet, it's just a ordinary motel. The room we had was a decent size and the kitchen facilities fine for self catering.. There are decent sitting out areas with some of the apartments but not all. The Brooks Restaurant at the site was very good indeed.

Bathroom off the kitchen in our apartment was a rather odd design. Our apartment seemed rather tired. It's rather expensive for what and where it is.
