There are things to do (TV room, pool table, foosball), also there is a swimming pool. The area is very calm as it is in the park. There is a walking path nearby. The room was not bad for a short stay.

It's not a typical hostel. It's a caravan park with some dorm rooms. Bathrooms are in a separate building, so you if you need to use it at night, have your phone or a torch for light. The location is a bit complicated if you are without a car (however, it is very beautiful there). The bottom bunk is very low, it's almost like sleeping on the floor. And the mattress could be better.

Thank you for the visit, Dickson Holiday Park! Amaaazing experience - definitely something different for the kids but brought nostalgia for us as something close to our hearts 😁 and we are so grateful because it really did have the best of both worlds in one place, sitting side by side. I personally appreciated that so much. A hidden gem in a beautiful place. Perfect. We loved your coin-operated bathroom and also your dump station. Hehe, fun times to be had 🤣 GENIUS. Us grown-ups only wish we could have stayed longer. I wanted to play at the park lol 😆 EPIC.. Go Thames/Coro!!! Thank you for giving us somewhere to stay together safely. Till next time, stay blessed and do well 🙏 ✨️ 💕

The place was really nice. The dorms were close to everything like kitchen, game room and bathroom. The kitchen was not the biggest but defently enough for the amount of people that were using it.

My entire food bag got stolen from the communal fridge. I would expact the staff to care a little more but other than contact the cleaning lady and ask her if she saw anything rhey didnt really care, just said it happend before and they didnt even have cameras there. For their defence they did write on the fridge that leaving stuff is at the costumer's responsebility but I didnt have a choice. Other thing os that that the showers are operated by coins. Not expensive just suprised me since it wasn't mentioned before arriving. The kitchen had a stove that kept making smoke and triggered the fire alarm.

A nice holiday park with plenty to do within the park and nearby. A nice river to swim in, some trails, games like table tennis, very friendly and helpful staff, and seemingly booked by overall good people. I ended up adding another night as I grew comfortable and really established myself into New Zealand, as this was my second spot I stayed during my trip. The kitchen was also pretty nice and well equipped.

The bathrooms weren't terrible, but they weren't great either. Maintained in a clean way, it was an enclave from the outdoors, but was mostly outdoors. You also had to pay for hot water in the shower and it seemed like the hot water lasted for shorter than advertised, but I never timed it or anything and I've got a very American shower preference of enjoying rather than rushing.

Staff were really helpful and kind - stayed up for my late arrival. Cute caravan. Clean and well-maintained. Comfy bed and nice clean, good quality bedding. Lovely site in a green valley, nice resources - pool, mini-golf, aviary of budgies, ducks and ducklings around. Easy parking beside the caravan.

It's a bit further out from town than most accommodation, but that was no problem as I had a car. Caravan had very light curtains - though they were very pretty.

This was our first time spending the night in a caravan. It was a little unusual)) I thought, that there might be more space inside, however, we fit compactly and there was everything we needed inside. Special thanks for the heater, it came in handy. We didn't freeze at night. Quite a calm atmosphere, and amenities next to the trailer. A lot of plants and birds were there.

The caravan is quite old and drafty. This is the only negative. Some points are strange for me: English taps (one tap with hot water, the other with cold water and no mixer); to use the shower you need to have a change with you. 1 dollar = 5 minutes of hot shower)))

We liked the little cabin because we have everything we need there, beds, kitchen, fridge and our own bathroom. Perfect for when you travel with little kids. We have a good time there, just bad weather and sick kids, not the best combination but we enjoyed as much as we could. It is a great playgorund in the property and another in Thames, just at 10 minutes drive, my little one loved both!

The water from the shower it wasn't hot enough, we had to open the tap from the handsbasin to make it hoter and it was raining the whole weekend so not the best shower. And also not the best clean, it was tidy but not well clean. We found a plate with saussages in the microwave, rubbish in the toilet bin and it wasn't swep/vaccum properly.

Superb location surrounded by lots of glorious trees! Very peaceful and quiet too. Our well equipped unit was immaculate with a restful, soothing decor and comfy beds!

Loved our unit - SO clean and lovely furnishings with comfortable beds and a glorious view ! Delightful!! The only issue we had was not being able to get the water in the shower hot enough for our liking.

The camp grounds were neat and the facilities were sufficient. The caravan we stayed in was sweet and characterful. The small space was perfect for a night but a longer stay could have felt a bit cramped, great for use as a base :) and we loved the visits from the ducks!

The kitchen was well stocked but not very big so I can imagine it being difficult to cook at busy times. Showers were pay-as-you-go which I’ve not seen before!

A lot to love about this place: The location was not too far from the little township or playground for the kids. We had a cute little cabin, which fit comfortably us and our 4 children. The pool & playground was a highlight, even though the weather was horrible for two of those days we were there, the kids were always outside playing. Also everything was very clean around the holiday park and staff were helpful

Our fridge was not on in the room and we didn't notice when we put our groceries in, until the next morning when the kids said their milk was warm - easy fix though, we just pulled fridge forward and plugged it in. Milk was ok to use. The kitchen sink did not have hot water, it was always running Luke warm - again easy fix though, we just boiled the kettle and poured that in to do the dishes. I was surprised to see no coffee or hot chocolate sachets - just 3 types of tea in the drawers. Not everyone likes tea lol. All in all, it was a great experience for the kids and I would go back again
