The hotel seems to be located at the end of the world, a very beautiful place! It’s incredibly quiet, and while walking outside, you can only hear the sound of the waves. You can book other outdoor activities and equipment through the hotel in advance, so you won’t feel bored at all. The hotel is a bit of a distance from the port, so traveling by car would be more convenient. Since we didn’t have a car, we booked the port shuttle service in advance. The staff is very friendly, after booking the hotel, we received a lot of useful information and guides, such as additional activities and prices, dining options, hotel location, weather forecast, weekly schedule of boats departing from different ports to different destinations, etc., which are very helpful for first-time visitors to the island. I checked many hotels, and only this one provided all the useful information I wanted to know in detail. Dinner is very delicious! I also noticed that if guests will miss lunch due to activities, the hotel can pack lunch for them in advance, which is a great experience!

Very large apartment with very nice view of fjord. Apartment is located at the front row so there is no any building to block the view. Equipment is well maintenance. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is free.

Should have instruction on how to lock the front door. We tried to lock and it did not work at first but finally we found very small instruction attached at the door knob

I recently stayed at Mefjord Brygge and it was the perfect base for a hiking adventure near Segla. After a long day on the trails, this place was an absolute haven to return to. The proximity to Segla and several other shorter hikes made it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. The staff at Mefjord Brygge were exceptionally accommodating and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. They even helped us get set up in the wellness center so we could unwind in the sauna—a much-needed treat after a day of hiking. Both the rooms and the sauna were spotless, and I have to say, the beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. It was such a relief to sink into that cozy bed after a day on the trails. The restaurant was another highlight. Dinner was fantastic, and the breakfast offerings were equally impressive, providing the perfect start to another day of adventure. I couldn’t help but feel extra grateful for a warm bed and delicious food, especially after watching the steady stream of camper vans passing through the area. Overall, I would highly recommend Mefjord Brygge to anyone planning a trip to this stunning part of the world. It’s a cozy, comfortable retreat with excellent amenities and an unbeatable location for outdoor enthusiasts.

The room is small but it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and a lot of choices. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very good, my husband and I ordered fish and it was fresh but it took a while to get our order, the server explained to us that the kitchen staff were getting behind and it was good that he explained the situation to us and we never had a problem about it. the hotel is close to where we want to do our hike. And the town has a different vibe to it , we enjoyed our stay.

Great view to the mountains across the fjord from the public area. Room had a restricted view of mountains. It is clean with comfortable beds and a good shower. This is an isolated village, don't expect a lot of services. It is quiet and peaceful. We had a delicious dinner at the affiliated restaurant 500m down the road.

There were no bedside tables in spite of the fact there was plenty of room for them. The room (a double) was small considering the price.There seems to be no soundproofing between the rooms so you hear conversations, coughing and more.

The location is amazing. Perfect location for lots of hikes and the scenery is stunning. The staff were friendly. The breakfast buffet was good.

Be aware that there is limited parking at the property and you may be a little way down the road - it didn’t bother me but it might be significant for some people. Also just pay attention to which room you’re booking - mine was on the 2nd floor and the lift only goes up to the first.

Breakfast was ok. Helpful staff made scrambled eggs for us both. There wasn’t much fruit however this seems to have been a pattern throughout our trip and there was only flora available.

Nothing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We were warmly welcomed and staff seemed genuinely interested that we had a good stay. The evening meal was excellent and location is stunning. We hope to return some day and wished we had longer to explore beautiful Senja.

Nice apartment with 3 bedrooms in a ex-fishing village, where tradition is combinate with modernity. The apartment, especially the living room, was cozy, with a really nice view on the fjord. The bedrooms have minimal furniture, but for us was ok. Equipped kitchen. The ex-rorbuer is situated on a beautiful location in Senja. A small village, great for hiking and walking (fishing) to the sea. We walked on Knuten Trail Head (views to Mefjord port and two small lakes at the foot on the mountains), Hike Fjordgard (beautiful views on Segla peak and fjords from Hesten peak) and Husfjellet Trekking (beautiful views on fjords from Husfjellet peak). Restaurant nice in location, make sure to reserve your place. Friendly staff. Parking free.

What a great time in Norway and your place was one of our favorites. Getting up in the morning and looking across the fjord to Senja and Hesten was amazing then the breakfast was wonderful. The apartment was clean and well supplied.

I was very disappointed in the additional charge for the hot tub. I am not used to having additional charges for use of a hot tub on the grounds. Oh well that was a bit of a disappointment. Being right next to a fantastic mountain guide service was an unexpected bonus.

I loved this property! It has such a great energy around it. We stayed at northern lights apartment #2 right on the water with a large shared deck. We loved it. It was not hot even on hottest days. The apartment was roomy. We also really liked the bar and restaurant. It has such a nice atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.
