it was is my first time staying at a hotel in Karachi and I'm so pleased with our room 536, The overall experience during our 6 days and and everything from the guest services and spa treatment and amenities we're great especially the pick up and drop off airport. Exceptional housekeeping services led by this trio Rashid qasri, Anand, Riyad Muhammad (housekeeping supervisor), if they are working on your floor, rest assured your room will be serviced well. The breakfast at the PC was great, could be better with a bit more variety on the food selection, but the parathas and halwa purri made up for it. Asad took care of my family and my brother's family in 802+804, and all the duty managers. Thank you for lovely time, inshallah hope to be back again.

slightly confused to see that the hotel had covered up the window views.

Breakfast was very good, they had a live station for Omlettes and a large variety of Pakistani dishes. The rooms which they gave us were neat and clean. Location was also good close to the Karachi Gymkhana Club and Movenpick hotel in the heart of the city.

The security measures were very high, stopping of cars at the entrance of the hotel screening them, sniffer dogs sniffing the cars, bags passing through the Xray machines. Then passing through a metal detector gate when entering the hotel lobby from outside.

Breakfast was awesome. There were do many varieties of food. D'ont know where to start. As far as the location is concerned, may be if PC would have been located at walking distance from the malls and branded shops it would have been better for people like us who like to do shopping the whole day. We have to pay taxi everytime we go out. Its quite expensive.

The lounge where people can sit and talk. There are at least 8 sofas which are high time to replace as they no longer offer the comfort expected and they are not anymore of the standard of the hotel.

Services

One of my guest came here to see me. They stopped her amd said guest are not allowed to come and go to the room. I asked the reception they said you have to pay pkr 3018 then your guest is allow to go up for the meeting. Then I paid the amount. So its really unfair. Of someone want to come for a meeting for few hours and this hotel is charging per guest its really unfair. I travel a lot, nothing in the world like this pc hotel pakistan They should think about it

Excellent staff!

First day we ordered breakfast in room and paid the waiter in cash. He didn’t give any receipt. We didnt know we should have done that. The waiter didn’t tell PC that we have paid and PC charged us again. We didnt have any proof that we paid. There should be some check and balance and investigation must be done on whom served us. Money wasn’t much but its about the principle.

Staff everywhere in PC including resturant, housekeeping, reception is exceptional. They try to make the stay as comfortable as possible. very accomodating and respecting team. I want to specifically mention the name od Saira, Asad ,Noor & uncle who made us tea everyday ,I dont remember his name ,but I am impressed of their services. Special thanks to all of them and the housekeeping team. I definately recommend this place for comfortable stay.

no issues noticed

As Room No 204 was pathatic with a cigarette-burnt sofa, Room No 522 was offered as a consequence. It was a good room; nicely cleaned but the carpet had little holes in it. A single seater sofa with a monster look was oddly placed in the room, which was beyond the sense of beautification. A two seater could have accentuated good-looks of the room and would have served as comfy and gracious sitting. Toiletries were nice but the washing area was too little. PCHK have had very large bath rooms in the 1990s even on the standard floors but the so called edge-cutting renovation has deminished the glamour, flavour and fragrance of the hotel. Lobby level is grand, It richly cherishes the beauty of the first Pakistani 5 Star Property of the 1960s. Chandni still keeps up its marvellous looks but not the alleys carpets on the floors. Those were more beauteous in the 1990s.

The in-house music channel was greatly missed,. It would always sate the soul and the sense of light classics, like Mehdi Hassan, Iqbal Bano, Amant Ali Khan and Farida Khanm. The surplus money, blocked through credit card against the stay is yet to be released. The Finance Department should look into it. Pick and drops were expeditious but the vehicles need a lot of cleanliness.

breakfast is good but over 10 years the menu is same room is excellent. location is good.

all was good one thing would like to add when your occupancy is full you increase charges but during that time your services are very slow. i think you should increase your manpower during that time.

an iconic building. i booked it for my daughter and I. she loved it. she liked the castle look of the building. the goplay area was really good. the breakfast buffet was good. comfortable rooms and very courteous staff.

the restaurants are over priced and the food quantity isn’t up to the mark. there were delays about the on request services. i had to call literally 4 times for just getting some plates. for warming the food I called twice. and eventually had to take it downstairs myself.

Breakfast was awesome. Good combination of American and Pakistani food. All of them taste good. Room was clean and spacious. Despite of the oldest hotel in the City, it did not give me a feel for it. It is very well kept.

The view wasn't great but I guess that is possible the best site where this hotel is located at.
