The location was central to city for tours, Old Town , restaurants etc while maintaining a more quiet atmosphere. The actual hotel was great with 2 beautiful infinity pool areas overlooking the Pacific Ocean . The pool chairs and cabana areas were very comfortable and clean. There wasn’t a time when we couldn’t get chairs. The pool staff was helpful and friendly. We had 3 lunches pool side , being served delicious hot sandwich wraps with hot fresh fries and very reasonable pricing. The Marriott affords lovely outdoor gathering areas to enjoy the beautiful evenings. The room was spacious with a king bed… very comfortable with crisp linens. robes and slippers provided Some rooms have a tub also. it is a bit unusual but the bathroom and shower are free standing glass enclosed spaces without being a separate room. This configuration still offered privacy. The room was clean and a turn down service was available each night . The large balcony was a real decision maker for us. The ocean views and breeze were wonderful. our booking included the breakfast buffet. The food selection and service was excellent. We decided to eat our evening meal 4 times because the service, quality of the food and the outdoor area was so peaceful and comfortable. I specifically must say a special thank you to the service team of Yariela, Nata, Fernando , Evencio and Clemencio. They and their peers made our dining experience so special that our consideration to return to the JW Marriott is because of these friendly, helpful hardworking people …keep in mind the Ocean Casino is directly next door for extra fun and gambling. The common area carpet and room furniture could have a refresh but the food , staff, location , service , balconies and outdoor pool and spa services make this a Best Choice hotel

Outside of the rooms smelling a bit “humid”, everything else was amazing. The views from the room were great, the pools were beautiful. The breakfast was amazing. The rest of the food was mediocre. Don’t bother with a rental car here. Uber is not expensive and the hotel is very conveniently located. You are charged for EVERYTHING here. The mini bar drinks range from $5 and up. Room service also has their own fees outside of what you order.

Just the humidity/smell of the room. Pipe the AC down and it will help a lot.

The infinity pools were amazing, and the cocktails by the pool as well.

When there is Sunday brunch in the main restaurant (primarily of meat) I could not find anything to eat there as a vegetarian. Clearly paying the full price did not make sense for a vegetarian. Though they were nice to give me just a salad but there was no warm lunch opportunity that sunday.

The breakfast was very good. The room was very large and comfortable. The pool area is nice, but sadly we had no sun there due to the other buildings. We could check in earlier and check out later without additional costs. Would recommend for 1-2 days.

The music at the pool area was too loud (impossible to read a book). Air conditioning in the hotel was awful, it was so cold everywhere, so that you have to wear a sweater while outside it's hot. Room was cooled to 19 degrees (outside 30 degrees), mirrors were even fogging. We were disturbed frequently in our room by room services 2x daily for no reason. There is a piano in the Hotel lobby, but in a corner so you can't play and the staff was very surprised when I asked if I could play. Seems like no guest ever plays piano there. How sad for such a nice instrument....

Room was dirty. Stains on the sheets, hair in the shower and on the furniture, stains all over the couch, bathtub dirty on the bottom. Had my room switched and this was the case for both rooms. For a 5 star hotel I was expecting everything to be spotless.

The location is perfect! The staff were extremely nice and helpful. The views of the ocean by the well appointed pool deck are beyond compare!

I hated the room setup. why can’t hotels design bathrooms with doors?! When booking rooms for two adults and not a couple, we want a bathroom that is 100% enclosed for privacy.

Property was clean modern and the staff was amazing everyone from the front desk to the kitchen staff was very welcoming they accommodated us to everything we needed.

I just wish the food selection at the executive lounge had more options it was pretty boring and they serve the same thing everyday

The hotel feels luxurious and the personnel is really attentive to all requests. The pool areas are really nice. good for a one day stopover. the location is excellent.

The price bracket is a bit stiff for what’s included a free breakfast would have been appreciated rather than paying 24$ per person for it. Also the pool areas are always shaded so barely any sunny moments and a lot of wind.

Traveling from Jamaica to Panama the first time in my life is a major experience. I must commend JW MARIOTT For and excellent stay. The staff was amazing, the food was great. The Room was spectacular and not to mention the View from the Balcony, breathtaking. Will surely looking to come back.

Some renovations are needed in the rooms and bathrooms and carpets need to be replaced in the halls. Windows need pressure washing as well as the balconies. Main guest areas were very well maintained though (lobby, guest check in, restaurant, etc)
