I would highly recommend a stay at Hotel Torre Dorado in Cusco, Peru! Starting with my arrival at the Cusco airport, I easily spotted my taxi driver, who held a sign with my name on it. We were joined with a very friendly personal tour guide to answer any questions I had for now, or in the future. We arrived at Hotel Torre Dorado in just 15 minutes. It is a small but stylish American like hotel that has accents of Peruvian culture throughout its four floors. I wanted a room with the best view, which meant traversing 4 flights of stairs, however, they were relatively short flights, and well worth the view! My room had big windows with a panoramic view of the city and the mountains behind. It was simple but tastefully design, again, with a touch of Peru. A chair and small writing space were next to the window. It had a comfortable bed, lots of organizing space in the big closet, and a very nice private bathroom with shower The receptionist, and most of the staff used hand translators for any detailed questions, and often responded in English. They were always kind, courteous, and very responsive, meeting my request in a timely manner; often going above and beyond the call of duty. I do not eat Breakfast, but it was offered everyday in a small formal dining room on the second floor. There are decorative, comfortable lounging spaces on each floor, and other thoughtful amenities. About once a day, the children are playing loudly for one to two hours; and also an occasional loud dog fight interupts the otherwise quiet envirorment. I had a delightful stay!

The beds were warm, the showers amazing, the breakfast was exceptional. The staff are brilliant. The hotel is clean and has great seating areas, couches and even games to play. It’s been the most comfortable hotel I’ve stayed in in Peru.

I love everything about this hotel apart from the location. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood in the suburbs but there is not much around. It’s a half hour walk or a taxi ride into town.

Everything. I had a great stay. Even though is not located in the city center, the neighborhood is quiet, and it guarantees a grest sleep, something I didn’t get in other places near the tourist area. Karina, the lady in charge of of kitchen is a sweetheart and goes above and beyond. The staff are all friendly and were really helpful even after check out.

The kind lady working in the Kitchen was the highlight. Best breakfasts and freshly squeezed fruit juices. The hotel was kept super clean.

Small downside was that the rooms did not have cooling airconditioner, but the friendly staff assisted me and went to buy a desk fan for my room.

It was such a great stay at this hotel. The staff was so so lovely and attentive it instantly felt like home. We also could wash all our laundry for little money and they were available 24/7. If youre worried about the location being far from the center we can assure you its only a couple minutes drive away (4-5 min) and the taxis are super cheap. You could also walk but that takes of course a bit longer. (25-30 min)

Breakfast was good but was missing plain water

No elevator to go up on the 4th floor with luggage but hotel staff extended his hands to carry them all the way up 👌

Great spacious room, all renovated. Breakfast is amazing. All you could ask for. Staff is very friendly and helpful!

Gas ran out and had to take a cold shower for one night of the staying. But it was solved quickly on the day after. Location a bit far from the city highlights, on a residential area, but riding a cab to the center costs no more than 2 dollars, so it’s ok.

I cannot say enough great things about Torre Dorada Hotel. To start with, I would describe them as a "Boutique Hotel". situated slightly outside of the center of the city (Plaza de Armes), but only an inexpensive 7-8 Soles ($2.50) ride in. All of the staff worked extremely hard to accommodate our every request and provided 100% customized service. Diego & Edgar, the front desk managers helped us every step of the way; altering our initial reservation, booking taxi's,, holding our bags after check out for a 2 day excursion to Matchu Pitchu, bringing in a portable room heater and extra towels upon request, coordinating our laundry service and on & on it goes. All the time with a smile. Similarly, the lovely buffet breakfast had a very diversified offering inclusive of fresh fruits & juice, yogurt, oatmeal , sandwich fixings & sweets. And, the sweet lady in-charge of the kitchen would customize anything you requested. The shower water was consistently hot & the internet robust. The room was clean on arrival & maintained that way with excellent daily service. Perhaps our BEST stay in all of Peru & we would definitely would return!

There was some sort of club in the vicinity which you could hear the music from in the evening

Everything was so nice, clean, and comfortable. I wanted to stay longer but unfortunately they didn't have rooms. It was the best hotel I've stayed in Peru. Breakfast was excellent. Quiet neighbourhood.

Maybe location? I didn't need to go to the centre cos I was there for work. So it wasn't any issues for me. It takes quite some time to the centre on foot, but by taxi it was no problem.

Wish i had found this all hotel sooner! I had stayed a couple more places in the center which I found very loud, it was hard to get good sleep. This hotel was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the bed sheets were the nicest Ive had in Peru. Due to its location, the place was Very quiet which helped a ton for getting a well needed good sleep ,
